Welcome to our lakefront retreat, nestled between the quaint towns of Hancock and Deposit. Perfect for families seeking a peaceful getaway, our charming home offers all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. We have an exciting new addition that will surely enhance your experience - say hello to our delightful resident goats! Meet our lovely momma goat and her two adorable babies, adding an extra layer of charm to your lakeside retreat.

Enjoy free access to our kayaks and rowboat and free high-speed wifi. Our fully stocked kitchen, complete with a Keurig machine, allows you to prepare delicious meals with ease. Relax on one of our two large decks furnished with comfortable seating or cast a line right off the deck for a leisurely fishing session.

Other amenities include free parking, fully stocked bathrooms, free laundry, a private dock for sunbathing and star-gazing, and a smart TV for cozy movie nights.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
We hope you enjoyed your stay! You don’t need to do anything with the beds. The cleaners will handle that.
Please have any used dishes cleaned and put away.
Please put the kayak and rowboat back where they were with the oars on the fence. Row boat and kayak need to be removed from from the water and flipped upside down so they don’t get filled with water.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No smoking in the house. If there is smoking in the house an additional cleaning fee of $500 will be charged. Smoking allowed outdoors only!
8 People max. Pets accepted on a case by case basis! There are no kitchen condiments. Please throw out trash in the storage bin next to the firewood.
Sometimes our camper is across the street. Guests do not have access to the camper. Guests must follow all posted rules regarding the goats.

Peaceful and perfect stay

This was the second visit for our group of four decades-long women friends, and we were just as pleased with our stay as the last time. The house was very clean, the location on the water lovely to both look at and kayak on, and our host was super responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

Great Stay on the Lake

Wonderful house, just as described, with access to a lake that is clean, beautiful, and perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. The goats across the street are a fun plus. We loved using the boat and kayaks, and brought some of our own floats as well. A nice retreat.

Cozy weekend getaway

My family and I spent the Memorial Day weekend at this charming lake house! The location is perfect, offering serene and picturesque views of the lake. We spent our days fishing and were thrilled with the abundance of fish we caught. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some fantastic fishing!

The lake is beautiful and provides activities, the goats are very cute, the house was clean and comfortable, with A/C, plenty of hot water and water pressure for showers, and space for our things. Just what we wanted for a family long weekend with 3 generations. The owners were very responsive. The deck is in desperate need of a coat of paint and some other maintenance though - hopefully the owners can do some upkeep on the outdoor space soon.

Overall, was a very nice stay. Weather was partially cooperative. Ambience was disturbed by neighbors and loud ATVs unfortunately most of Saturday. Lake temp was great. Extremely chill, practically had the lake to ourselves. Almost no one was out despite being in the middle/end of July.

Fantastic lake getaway

The house is spotless and on a beautiful small lake. We swam and used the rowboat. A great supermarket is close by. We do VRBO all the time and we would come back to this house. It was awesome. Oh and we went on an awesome hike in Binghamton and had a delicious dinner at River Run.

Awesome place and location.

Property was very clean. We like that. The lake has Large Mouth Bass. We had fun fishing. Happy we had firewood and a place to pitch a Fire. The Row boat was fun. It was a short trip but we enjoyed our stay and would rent this place again. Thank you!

Charming lakehouse getaway

Anthony’s house at Silver Lake was perfect for our family getaway. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, relaxing on the deck, and sitting around the firepit once the sun went down. There is plenty of small-town charm in Deposit and Hancock, where we found the dining options to be just right. Even when the weather didn’t cooperate, the indoor space was great for cozy family time while still providing a great view of the lake. Thanks Anthony!

Relaxing

Comfortable, hospitable. My brother’s two teen granddaughters stayed with us one night. We enjoyed the decks, the kayak, grilling, dining on the lower deck, having two bathrooms, the fire pit one night, lovely walks around the lake with the dog and more. It is just what we needed. Thank you.
