Absolutely amazing stay! The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and had everything — fireplace, jacuzzi, sauna, and stunning nature all around. Loved being right on the river. Perfect getaway for couples and family.
This place is amazing! It’s the most beautiful house with great amenities. If you’re looking for a quiet get away, this is the place to book. Excellent communication from the host too! Can’t wait to visit again in the future
The house was so fun—very artsy and creative decors. Something new and different to look at anywhere you looked! Loved the house! The property was beautifully landscaped, too! The location was beautiful—right on the river with beautiful mountains all around. It felt very private. Our family had a great time there. Great for our kids who live in NYC to get out of the city. Had a great time kayaking. We rented from a place in Hancock. Enjoyed the little sauna. Grilled out. Only a charcoal grill, but did the trick! We spent a couple evenings around a fire in the fire pit. In all, a great place. We’d love to go back.
Overall a great stay. It looks and feels exactly as pictured. Super responsive host. Cabin was warm and homey. You felt at ease the minute you step in. Tons of character and the skylights light up the entire space. Would definitely stay again
Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the artsy and funky decor. The location and grounds are picturesque. You can easily spend all day at the house birdwatching, fishing, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, or enjoying the sauna. There are also many nearby towns and hikes to eplore. We plan on staying again.
This is not a house, it is a work of art where you can feel and live a true harmony with nature. My congratulations to the owners of such a beautiful property...
If you want to be amazed at the interior design, stunning fireplace and decor; this is the place for you. Get your heart pumping walking up the steps to the entrance; before going indoors look at the beautiful mountain surround!
The house is a unique property filled with hand made woodwork, a gorgeous fireplace, tons of light, and wonderful views of the river. My friends and I loved the place! Candy, who manages the property was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely rent it again.
Amazing property with a lot of charm and small details that create a magical ambiance. The only thing that could use improvement is the sauna stove. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it hot enough for a proper steam experience. But other than that, the house is super charming and has everything for an unforgettable weekend in the country.
This house was everything we were hoping for out of our trip to the Catskill Region of NY. Sitting on the banks of the river the house offered great views of the surrounding hills and water, all while staying cozy indoors with an amazing fireplace and very cool vibes. The property was well kept and the host was very friendly and accommodating to us. We will definitely be returning to stay at this house in the future.
Candi the local manager was outstanding. She was very hospitable and helped out with a propane issue. The property itself was very cozy but could use some upgrades and deep cleaning of the stove and appliances. None of those are something to be overly concerned about about. Just a honest suggestion. Owner did answer all my questions promptly.
Absolutely enchanting property!Every detail of this property was perfect! The home itself was beautiful and wonderfully interesting. The house was clean and comfortable, and anything that we could anticipate was laid out in the guest binder. The surrounding property was also serene. There was plenty of local wildlife to see from the decks and patio, not to mention the woods beyond. Gorgeous enough to keep two teenagers engaged and happy! It made for a perfect escape. We are already planning on our next stay!
My friends and I had an excellent time enjoying a low-key New Years at the River Runs Through It. We enjoyed everything from the comfortable bedding to the sauna, and had a fire going in the central fireplace every night. The house had everything we needed and was in a beautiful setting right on the river. I'm eyeing a summer trip so we can take advantage of the river access. Sam was responsive and helped us iron out a few details prior to our stay. I Highly recommend!
This was our first time using VRBO, and also checking out the Catskills. It was perfect. The house is charming, unique, full of personality, and surrounded by breathtaking views. It snowed our entire trip and we had a roaring fire each night in the huge stone fireplace. It was perfectly relaxing and idyllic. The Sauna, darts, board games, and bar with vintage glasses were all highlights! We can’t wait to come back in the Spring or summer to see the river when it isn’t frozen.
This place is truly perfect for a weekend to unwind, especially in the winter months. The sauna, fireplace, and jacuzzi tub were highlights for our kids, and there was lots of space to lounge and play for everyone. We’ve stayed here a few times, and each weekend was better than the last. The gas stovetop is a little crotchety to use but we loved having a Bluetooth speaker since we didn’t think to bring our own. We never needed to contact the property manager but the numbers were provided and all instructions for the house were clear. The upstairs is chilly at night but there were extra blankets in every room.
This place was everything I imagine and then some. Has a very unique look and feel about. The scale and openness of the rooms ceiling and fireplace alone will entertain you enough. Large windows provide vantage points through out the house over looking the East Branch and if you want to get even closer walk out to the large deck .Never knew there was so much activity on the river and Air I saw many things I never witness before. You need to check it out yourself and find out what I'm talking about lol Where you can feel and find a sense natural community.
Great stay. Great house. EXCEPTIONAL local host, Candi. This was our 10th stay here and will be back for more.

Why they chose this property
Whilst working in New York I was looking for an escape, close to nature on a river. I finally found this ideal spot, next to a State Park and on the river .
What makes this property unique
This house is unique in the sense that’s it been designed with relaxation in mind. I also wanted the home to be quirky with interesting architectural details. The use of space, light and form makes this house not only interesting but super functional, inside and out.
