Gecko @Serendip Vacation Condos

Enjoy incredible views in our completely renovated upper level unit. Gecko's décor is casual sophistication with a timeless coastal vibe. This 1-bedroom unit sleeps up to 4 with a king size bed in the bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

The fully stocked kitchen has new custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances and white quartz countertops. The in-unit reverse osmosis system, with remineralizer, eliminates the need for bottled water and the refrigerator has additionally purified water and ice dispenser. Enjoy your meals at the large peninsula or on the veranda for a sunset dinner.

Our spa like bathroom has a large open shower with multi-function showerhead and is fully stocked with robes, linens, lovely personal care products, hairdryer and first aid kit.

The 300 sq. ft. veranda features a large teak dining table, drapery for shade or privacy, and a comfortable lounge area for enjoying the expansive ocean view.

Other Gecko amenities include a safe, printer, phone charging dock, beach chairs, Neso sunshade, coolers bags, beach toys and towels. The living room has a Smart TV with basic local channels and streaming available, and a library for your beach reads.

Serendip includes a pool and other shared amenities including a solar and battery backup power system.

Christmas in Paradise

It has been 6 weeks since I left Serendip (Gecko) and I'm still raving to all my friends about this place. As soon as you walk in, you get a welcoming feeling. It is airy, bright and cozy. The condo is beautifully decorated and stocked with EVERYTHING you need! I spent most of my time on the veranda because, well, THE VIEW is breathtaking. It is a perfect location with lovely hosts and the property manager is very responsive (although I only needed to reach out to him once regarding a taxi). The location of the condo is also perfect. You can take a taxi to "downtown/ferry" area for $7.00, but if you are up to, you can walk in about 15 minutes. I can't wait to stay here again, hopefully soon!

Perfect in Every Way

This was our third time back at Serendip and it is the perfect place to stay! Close to town, plenty of space, huge verandah for morning coffee and evening sunsets. They have everything you need to make meals, drinks and just relax and enjoy! We cannot wait to return to island in March!

Perfect for Families

It's our first vacation with our 8 month old and we couldn't be more pleased with the condo and all the facilities Serendip provided. I over-prepared for the trip not knowing what might be needed but they had all of the beach equipment you'd need. The kitchen was so well stocked that it felt more like your own home. We loved the views immensely. It was a joy to come back to the condo every evening and watch the sun setting over Cruz Bay.

Carnaval Season

This is our 4th year in a row to visit St. John. Serendip has become our go to place. Very conveniently located to Cruz bay, up on the high ground with spectacular views of Pillsbury Sound, St. Thomas and sun sets. Wild life to be seen from the large balcony includes a wide variety of birds and iguana in the large Flamboyant Tree close by. Bring your binoculars. More than enough room for the wife and I with a fully stocked Kitchen and a nice king size bed. We will be back.

Perfect Retreat Condo

A Great Condo for a Relaxing Stay

We just spent 8 wonderful nights in the Gecko. The condo has everything we needed. We spent most of our time when at the condo on the balcony. We had all our meals there and hung out in the evenings as well. The pool is small but perfect after a day on the beach. We tended to cook a good bit and had everything we needed including great cutlery. The AC worked well and the bed was super comfortable. We rented a jeep and were glad we did. Driving up Jacob’s Ladder to Serendip was scary the first time but was easier each time. We also walked into Cruz Bay a couple of times, but always taxied back, so no walking up the hill for us. We loved the location and the condo and will definitely return.

Beautiful stay

Excellent view only a couple minutes from Cruz Bay. The condo was clean and well provisioned. Definitely rent a jeep, as the road is steep.

Perfection!

Serendip is beautiful and a perfect home base for a St. John vacation. Our condo was lovely, clean, and well-equipped—with a great kitchen and comfortable bed. Matt is a wonderful host. We received all the information required for a seamless check in and checkout. We had one “glitch” when we locked and could not unlock our safe. I contacted Matt; he responded within minutes; and the problem was sorted immediately! The “welcome” book is filled with useful information— recommended restaurants, quick and reliable taxi service, and the best beaches. Be sure to check it out. The guest reviews also provide lots of great tips! We had a fantastic trip and will definitely return to St. John and Serendip!

A perfect launch pad for adventure

We spent six days at Serendip in February. Our experience was perfect. Gecko condo had everything we needed and more. Thoughtful touches like beach chairs, cooler, shade tent, and cooking supplies made our stay feel like home. The bed was super comfy (a big deal for us!) and the condo was the perfect place to relax after a day hiking or at the beach. We had no trouble parking at the condo lot each day and Matt was super helpful when we needed him. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Fully stocked!

This place was so great. It had everything we needed. Coolers, ice packs, snorkeling gear, shade tent, beach chairs, pool noodles, floats, sand toys. Everything we needed for the beach. A fully stocked kitchen! We used the blender and made our own Pina coladas. Will stay here again.

Awesome stay

We had a great time at the Gecko. Melissa and Tom were amazing hosts, helped us with anything we needed and had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat (Christmas Eve dinner @ Lovango Beach Club!). The condo was great - really nicely updated, comfortable, and clean. Even better than the pictures! And the views of the bay and St Thomas in the distance were great beginnings and endings to full days of adventure for the family. Would definitely stay again!

Incredible!

This place far surpassed our expectations. The pictures really don't do it justice. The property managers, Melissa and Tom, were so nice and helpful in everyway. We will definitely be coming back to Gecko at Serendip!!

Honeymoon Week

My Husband and I had an amazing time at Gecko @ Serendip. The pictures are spot on. The owner has thought of everything you could ever need and more. I've never stayed at a rental that had a enough quality knifes, pans, dishes, glasses, and every kitchen utensil one could ever need. It was so nice to have coolers, beach chairs and beach towels for our daily trips to the beach. You won't need anything! We would definitely stay at the Gecko again.
