This is the closest oceanfront villa to town - a very unique property. Imagine being able to take a dip in the ocean anytime you like, only steps away from your own beach house! Seaside Vista includes high quality finishes and all new furnishings which will make your stay truly enjoyable.

Most of the other options available in town are condos. Why share walls and a building with many others in a condo when you can enjoy the privacy of your own beachfront villa?

Last fall the owner completed a top to bottom renovation, a real vintage Caribbean Cottage with modern touches done in a way to preserve the unique relaxing cottage feel, yet with an element of understated luxury. Because its just around the corner from Gallows Point, it hides any noise from town, yet its an easy 2 block stroll to the heart of Cruz Bay. You'll enjoy the soothing sounds of the surf as you watch the sailboats go by. In the evening, enjoy fabulous sunsets year round plus the twinkling lights of St Thomas.

The air conditioned spacious master bedroom has a king size bed with direct access to the large ocean view terrace. The bedroom's windows on 3 sides provide cooling Caribbean breezes and an ocean view.

The beautiful Restoration Hardware bath is accessed directly from the master bedroom. Seaside Vista is perfect for a couple as you can rent the cottage with the 2nd bedroom locked, and the rate is priced accordingly. (The 2nd bedroom is never rented to a different party.)

The second air conditioned bedroom was thoughtfully designed in a nautical style with a built in Queen Bed and a Twin bunk overhead; just like a ship's bunk. Perfect for accommodating a second couple or a family with 2-4 kids, depending on ages/size. See cost for 2nd bedroom/additional guests under the 'rates' section.

For convenience, the bathroom is accessible right from the second bedroom as well. The large newly tiled terrace has plenty of room for relaxing and dining and features all new furniture. The kitchen has been totally remodeled and features new counters, appliances and a more contemporary open floor plan to the living room. A new counter with bar stools makes it a great place to hang. The living room has large ocean view windows with a comfy sectional couch and a doorway that opens up directly to the terrace. There is also a furnished private courtyard with a grill.

Recently some VRBO customers have been e-mailed by individuals stating they are the property owner and offering a 20% discount if guests wire the money to them. They sign up for e-mail names similar to the vrbo e-mail and guests think they are dealing with the owner. I never request that guests wire $ - NEVER WIRE $ TO A FOREIGN COUNTRY.

Water front beach villa

The villa was in the perfect location. Just up the street from downtown but far enough away you didn't have any noise from the bars. I felt the size of the villa was perfect for 4 people but 5 would have been tight. The waterfront patio was the best for hanging out! Had everything you need full kitchen to make your own meals close to a smaller grocery store and walking distance to all restaurants downtown cruz bay. The management staff was there if you needed them but were very conscientious of your personal space. Would definitely stay again!

First time to St John

Terrific place to stay. Great location with easy walk to everything in town. Listen to the ocean as you fall asleep. We will be back to this house!

Perfect villa in paradise!

I took my daughter and her buddy to St. John for a vacation. A friend told me about Michael's villa and it was perfect. Mike was also a great host.He met us at the ferry since he happened to be in town. He walked us to the villa and showed us all around. The walk is easy - just a short little hill. We were often met by those peacocks who wander around! Beds are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything to cook with. But we went out for almost every meal since the food is SOOO good on this island!

We had coffee on the veranda every morning. Beautiful. The little beach is great. We snorkled all around and saw tons of pretty fish. We did not rent a car which was no problem since the walk to town is only 5 minutes tops. Taxis are always available at the ferry dock. Even though I kind of stumbled upon this little gem of a villa, I'd have to say there just can't be anything that's better from a comfort/location/access/safety perspective. Love this place! Perfect spot for relaxing

My husband and I stayed at seaside vista for 8 days. The location to town is perfect. It is a short walk to many restaurants and bars. The house was the perfect size for the 2 of us. The views from the patio are amazing. We bought a few groceries at the local market, if I was to do it again I would bring some non perishables in my suit case as the grocery stores are very expensive. It was so relaxing to get up and have breakfast and coffee on the patio every morning. We rented a car for a day to go to the beaches and over to coral bay. After that we took $6 taxi rides to the beach. We walked to Joe's Rum shack happy hour $3 whatever you want, daily. What a bargain! The bed is very comfortable. On the last day when looking at the checkout instructions, we realized there was a washer and dryer. It is outside, downstairs so we did not find it until we were leaving, lol. Michael was not on the island while we were there. Leslie was very accommodating and checked in to see if we needed anything. It was a fantastic vacation and we would definitely stay at seaside vista again.

Fantastic Location

Seaside Vista was absolutely perfect. We had amazing views with peace and quiet and could walk to town easily in about 5 min. There's a convenience store right down the road and peacocks right next door :) Even though Michael was not on the island while we were there, he makes everything so easy with guides for the vista as well as recommendations for on the island.

The accommodations were great, updated and clean and not lacking for anything.

Would definitely stay here again!
