The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the pool with our coffee. Practicing my Tai Chi early in the morning by the pool was quite lovely. The one thing we missed was being able to enjoy the Tiki Bar and music.

Our short (3 night stay) could not have been better! We arrived at 8:45 a.m. on day one of our stay, and proceeded directly to Johnson Beach at the suggestion of our host. After a day of fun in the sun, we entered the condominium to be surprised by a couple of sweet treats from the proprietor! Everything about our experience was great! The initial reservation, communication, check-in, and departure; every single thing was part of a seamless exercise. Thank you for a perfect get away!

Great place to stay!. AC worked really well, no issues with appliances. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. Spices, aluminum foil, non-stick cookware, etc. Location next to the pool provides hours of entertainment while staying out of the sun. Simple check-in and Sloan sent me the code as soon as the cleaners were done so was able to get in a few hours early.

The property was great however if you are going here for rest and relaxation don't rent a cabin by the pool. Although the view is nice, there is a bar with LOUD music most of the day into the night. What I thought would be pure mental relaxation was definitely not. We are not the partying type and so the bar music was just too much. Our stay would have been much different if our cabin was in any other part of the resort. Other than that, the place is great and kid friendly.

Love the Purple Parrot

My daughter and I went here for a last-minute summer vacation. The property is so cool! We absolutely loved the pool and this condo has the best view of the pool out of the Resort! The condo was clean and so cute and we loved the showers with the duel jets!! Sloan was a very helpful and accommodating host. This neighborhood is quiet yet busy enough and close enough to all of the action. We drove to Orange Beach and it only took about 10 minutes. I definitely can’t wait to be back here!

This property on Perdido Key is unique. And this unit was unique among the other units. Located adjacent to the pool and tiki bar it is in the middle of all the activity. The owners of this unit have created an ideal oasis in the land of sun and fun. Very attentive to our needs and quick to respond to our questions. The perfect place to recharge. Located in the Purple Parrot Village Resort, you’ll be within 5 mins. (by vehicle) of grocery stores, local restaurants, and a great seafood market. Gulf Islands National Seashore, which offers miles of undeveloped, federally preserved beaches, is right down the street and is a fantastic place to sunbathe, birdwatch, and collect seashells. (NOTE: this beach does have a $25 entrance fee per vehicle for a 7-day pass.) Other nearby beach options include Perdido Key State Park and the handful of public beach areas—all within a quarter mile or 5 min. drive. Big Lagoon State Park is also a quick drive across the bridge and offers bayside beaches, kayaking, and miles of hiking trails. Purple Parrot also sits adjacent to Lost Key Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer Championship course.

The Perdido Key area moves at a slower pace than the neighboring beach towns but is only a short drive to historic downtown Pensacola (which offers tons of restaurants, breweries, and local shops), Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores. It really is the perfect spot for your tropical getaway.
