We went away for our sons birthday (family trip)! We enjoyed the hot tub even when it snowed! :) Its such a fun cozy cabin! Everything was perfect and things were close by!
This was the perfect getaway for a Bachelorette weekend. All of the amenities to stay on site. We especially loved the massage chair, indoor suana, and the pizza oven! The local grocery store was only 5 minutes away for anything we forgot (flour). We even got a peek at Juneberry, the albino deer during our Neature walk in Father Hennepin State Park, within 10 minute drive of the house. Highly recommend the stay. Thank you for having us!
Excellent communication from host, everything advertised was spot on. Very comfortable accommodations and quiet location. Enjoyed watching birds and deer while on the patio.
The Barn is a great place for families or anyone looking for a modern, clean house to stay while you’re enjoying all the local Mille Lacs outdoor opportunities.
My wife, son, and dog loved it, especially the hot tub, sauna, access to the lake with boats, and fire pit plus the grills. A perfect spot to getaway. Thanks for letting us stay!
Had a wonderful cozy and relaxing time at The Red Barn. The upstairs was perfect for our two daughters to have to themselves. We enjoyed renting a pontoon while we were there and I highly recommend that from the owner as well!! It’s exactly as described and they were super easy to work with. It was a unique place and that added a lot of charm to the stay overall. I’d stay in a fun and different place like this a thousand times before a hotel or condo that’s always the same cookie cutter experience.
We were looking to have a quiet weekend trip with family and this was a good choice. The “Barn” was well appointed and clean. There were plenty of things to do on the property- outdoor and indoor games provided. The lake was a short walk across the street and down a path. Great place for watching the sunset. I had a couple of questions and Brian responded quickly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying there.
I booked the Barn to surprise my GirlFriend for her Golden Birthday. Along with our guests.
This place is amazing! Inside Is gorgeous and very well designed with lots of room open space very comfy very cozy, And extremely clean! Which is something we always try to find in our rentals.
We spent the weekend with local friends SXS and visiting other local friends.
We didn’t use the pontoons at the property as we had a tight schedule, but knowing they were an option was great! The lot has plenty of parking for guests or trailers. We for sure give the place and Brian 5 stars overall. We may be back this winter if the snow is good as all the trails are close and hopefully some ice fishing.
"The Barn" was a fun stay for our little family. Our 4-yr old loved the barn theme, the tractor, and the little play house. The space was comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. I took off one star because the kitchen supplies were a bit sparse and the knives were dull, there is no true dining room table (only bar stools), and there were some minor maintenance issues that we alerted the owner to (so hopefully should be addressed by the time of the next booking).
The barn house was amazing and we loved our stay here. The grounds are excellent, lots of games to play (inside and outside) and the dock is just a short walk from the house- was a perfect place to put our boat. House is clean and updated and the beds are very comfy! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook or have cookouts. Our kids enjoyed the kayaks during the day, a darts tournament at night, and also making s’mores over the fire pit. The 2 little towns near the house were cute and fun. Da Boathouse restaurant had great food too. The owner Brian, was thoughtful about checking in with me early into the trip, and also quick to answer any questions we had. This place was perfect for our family trip, we hope to come back next year!
