Perfect accomodations!

We hosted a group of 12 overnight with some drop ins during the day. Everyone loved the property! The younger crowd stayed in the cottage while the more senior parents/grandparents were in the main house. We attended an engagement party at the The Whistling Duck and the location of the house was perfect.

Absolutely Perfect!

Our Church Youth Group stayed here before heading to Splashway. The accommodations were perfect for a group. Tons of seating! Areas were large enough to fit our entire group in the same room. We enjoyed service in the living room, dinner in the kitchen and smores around the fire pit. The party barn was an absolutely perfect safe spot for the youth to hang out. The pond was gorgeous. Pictures definitely did not do it justice. The property is extremely well maintained. Had a couple silly questions (due to me not reading instructions fully), and owner immediately responded kindly. Highly recommend this home away from home.

Fun family gathering

We celebrated my husbands 80 th birthday. Family joined us from East and West coasts. The party barn saved the day when we had some heavy rains the first couple days. Later when the skies cleared we played the tourist in Columbus and everyone enjoyed the little shops and learning about local Texas history.

Perfect Family Property

This property was perfect for our extended family gathering! The younger and older kids all enjoyed the fishing pond and pool table, ping pong and games in the party barn, tree swings. Large gathering table in the kitchen and two fire pit gathering areas. The entire property is fenced so the kids knew the boundaries while exploring…Worry-free! It’s evident the owner takes a lot of pride in the property and everything was extremely clean!! Very easy communication. Overall excellent experience and propriety.

Just what we were looking for

Every year we have a multi-family gathering. This place was perfect for our needs! Plenty of space to be together for games and meals; or take a little walk alone. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The resident cat Maggie was a nice surprise. She greeted us every morning and evening at the front door. Also, this was the cleanest home we have ever rented. This cleaning crew needs to be at every rental! We would definitely recommend and have it on our list of places we would return to.

Relaxing and amazing property

This was the perfect property for our family and friends to gather in for a wedding we all attended in Columbus. Having the two separate houses helped out so much! The fire pit was amazing..we sat out there for 6 hours. Sorry if we used too much wood, it was just so perfect. Thank you for supplying all the small details.

Girls' Roundtop Trip

Met Rachel the owner upon arrival, she was great, efficient and had the place spotless when I arrived. Friends from Chicago came in to go to the Roundtop Antique fair (45 minute drive) and the property was perfect for us. There were plenty of private sleeping arrangements and the ground were just gorgeous. There were deer and butterflies galore which we all just loved seeing. I highly recommend this property/owner/and experience. She also made check-out super easy without a laundry list of things to do when we left. This was particularly nice as we had some friends with early flights. 5 stars for sure, great for girls trip, two families, or just some quiet time in nature!

Birthday Weekend Getaway at Stable Oak Ranch

We booked Stable Oak Ranch with several couples in which we had three birthdays to celebrate (a 50th and two 40ths). Rachael was a pleasure to deal with answering all our questions while booking, before our trip and during our stay. The property was in a great location, houses were spacious with plenty of beds for all and kitchen was well supplied. We spent much of our time enjoying the “party barn” which has a stereo/flat screen/pool table/ping pong table and cornhole available which were all put to good use! We will definately be booking again if/when we might require a property for a large family/friend gathering. Highly recommend!

*Should you stay here?….

YES!!!…Not only should you stay, you should book NOW…thank me later😏! The property is absolutely beautiful and well taken care of! The interior has such a comfortable feel & the decor is beautifully done. Outside you’re on 5 acres with 2 fire pits, a pond, a party barn and neighbors that are far enough away that you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere! What else could you want? We didn’t have the kids with us this trip but I couldn’t help but notice all of the fun they would have on a future trip: a few swings hanging from the trees, plenty of room to run and play and explore, huge trees to climb, a pier to fish from. Endless kid fun! They have everything you need in the house but incase you forget something, there is a tiny Walmart & HEB about 5 minutes away! This property is awesome for just about any type of stay! (We went to Waldo’s to float the river *reservations required. It was a very short drive to get there, reasonably priced & we had a lot of fun!)

Perfect family getaway

My husband is one of four siblings. As adults, with families and lives of our own, we rarely have time to get together to just hang out. This rental provided the perfect spot! Other than heading to town to see the largest oak tree in Texas, we never left the house! The kids loved the fish and turtles in the pond. The adults loved the conversation under the beautiful trees out front. We gathered with five families total. Two families have children, ages five and under. The kids brought their bikes and spent most of their time outside. They stayed up way past their bedtime and enjoyed creating memories with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. We all felt so free to do as we pleased. Some fished, some read on the tree swing, some baked for fun, some took a walk and visited the cows across the street, and since set on the back patio enjoying the view. With the house being just out of town, there was no need to worry about any noise other than the toads at night! (Which weren't bothersome) And when we had a small problem with the dishwasher, the owner was there within a couple of hours. Not to mention, it was super easy to contact them and they responded almost immediately! This is the perfect place for a family reunion. There are five bedrooms with very comfortable beds. One room has two queens, and two other rooms have full beds in attached rooms within the rooms. We comfortably slept 10 adults, 3 kids, and one baby. But you could easily sleep more! Stay here if you are looking for a serene getaway, the feeling of a home away from home. You will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Experience

The property was great. The houses were very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the hosts have done a good job of thinking through everything we need for a wonderful stay.
