YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS TOWNHOME!
The location could not be better -- 20 yards from The Canyons' Cabriolet (People Mover) lift. Yes, you read that right. You walk out the door of the townhome and across the street -- in less than one minute you will be riding The Canyons Cabriolet (people mover) lift, which whisks you to the heart of The Canyons Village where you can walk around and shop, eat dinner, ride the gondola up the mountain and possibly catch an outdoor concert. This year (Dec 2010) the Flight of the Canyons Gondola is being re-routed so when you get to the top of the Cabriolet you'll step right onto the Gondola up the mountain.
Beware of any Hidden Creek properties that are NOT on Aspen Drive. Those on Cedar Lane, Summit Drive or Willow Glen are a long walk to the Cabriolet -- downhill (which means uphill at the end of the day!) With those, you'll likely find yourself driving to the day skier parking lot. Red Pine condos are also a long walk down/uphill. Look closely at the map or email me and I'll send you an aerial photo that shows what I'm talking about. You will not find a condo or townhome that is closer to The Cabriolet than his one!
Our townhome has been recently (2012) completely remodeled with granite countertops, hardwood and slate flooring, new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new bathrooms and furniture and much more!! Oversized, comfy furniture; Breakfast bar; Boot rack and boot removal bench at entry area; Downstairs living room with gas fireplace is great for adults, while upstairs large den/family room is perfect for kids. Plus, we recently added a deluxe elliptical machine in the den.
4 BEDROOMS are large and tastefully decorated, with plenty of drawers, shelves and hangers. Beds are as follows: MBRM (king), Guest BDRM downstairs (Queen), 3rd BDRM upstairs (Queen), 4th BDRM upstairs (accessed through 3rd BDRM; bunk beds and trundle bed (4 twins)). There are TVs in the living room, family room, Master BDRM, Guest Room and 3rd BDRM. There are also 2 DVR's in case you want to record a show. If you're all adults, the condo very comfortably sleeps 8 or 9. There's also an inflatable bed -- please, nobody sleep on the couch!
A BIT ON THE CANYONS: If you haven't heard about The Canyons, you soon will. In the past ten years, the American Skiing Corp. has invested $500 Million and more than tripled the mountain's size. The mountain is now owned by The Talisker Company and a golf course is planned to be built soon -- broke ground in 2010. The Canyons is now the largest ski resort in Utah and the 3rd largest in the U.S. It is scheduled to be the LARGEST SKI RESORT IN NORTH AMERICA within a few years. You've got to visit it now, before the rest of the world discovers it! Plus, The Canyons definitely has the shortest lift lines of all the nearby ski mountains. I promise, you'll love the wide-ranging terrain and World Famous dry Utah powder. You can also walk one block to the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Golden Door Spa and get a day pass to use their facilities.
But this isn’t just a ski-condo. If you’re reading this right now, you probably know how beautiful Park City is in the summer. I can guarantee that you will love this condo even more in the non-winter seasons. Kids love playing around outside and there's a small creek at the end of the cul-de-sac that they can explore. You’ll probably even see some wildlife, including birds, raccoons and deer. I expect you’ll soon be a returning guest like the many others who return to stay at the townhome on each visit.

We live in San Diego and love coming to Park City with our young kids several times a year. We're happy to entertain trade proposals.
The Owner purchased this townhome in 2009
We've loved The Canyons Ski Resort for 20 years... from when it was a small local mountain called Park West, to when it became Wolf Mountain and then The Canyons. Well, it's come a long way. The Canyons is now Utah's largest ski mountain and, in my opinion, its best. The chairlifts, restaurants and other facilities are all new. The staff have a great attitude and most importantly, the lift lines are MUCH SHORTER than at Park City or Deer Valley. But even once you narrow it down to stay near The Canyons, location within this area is very important. Our townhome, Unit 31B is the second closest unit to The Cabriolet out of the 80 or so other Hidden Creek Units. This makes a huge difference. From 31B, you walk across the street and step onto the lift. If you're staying up the hill at any of the Hidden Creek condos (as opposed to townhomes, which have a garage), you're walking about 1/2 mile or more to The Cabriolet. Same thing, and even worse, if you're staying at Red Pine. Take a look at an aerial and see how far the unit is from The Cabriolet. That's the ONLY thing that matters when you're walking in ski boots and carrying skis.
We love the convenience of this location. You can drive about 4 miles and be on Main Street, or you can go 2 miles in the opposite direction to shop or eat at Redstone Plaza, the Factory Outlet Mall or visit Utah Olympic Winter Park, where there's always cool things to watch or do. The town home is located extremely close to a shuttle stop for the free town shuttle. Also, we love being on a ground floor unit. Any time of year, it's nice to be able to open the sliding glass door and step out onto our own patio with a private hot tub, views of the slopes and serenity and privacy of the forest just outside the door. Kids love playing playing outside, building snowmen, sledding or exploring, and it's easy for Mom to keep an eye on them from the kitchen.
We really enjoyed out time here. What struck us was the amazing location of this condo. We stayed mid-summer and discovered that the unit sits maybe 50 yards from a gondola that takes you to the ski area AND the center of all the activities. Not being ski season, we were treated to a free concert of the Wailers with probably 10,000 in attendance right on the mountain. We were able to walk there in minutes.
We also found that, since we were in Park City for a family reunion, the ease of getting around the area on the free shuttles was a great solution. We also were able to go right down the road and watch the Olympic athletes train at the Olympic Training Center.
Although we didn't ride, the mountain was very popular with mountain bikers. There are bike and running trails all along, but separated from, the roads. You can run or cycle on these asphalt paths for miles as I did.
The Unit itself was very well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen, living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean and well stocked. My family of 5 plus my mother-in-law fit quite easily. We did not even need the downstairs bedroom. The Jacuzzi was great and the barbeque worked. There are multiple, large televisions. We also enjoyed having the two separate living (hanging out) areas. One upstairs and one down.
This condominium is amazingly well located across the street from the cabriolet. It is fully equipped, beautifully furnished, and complete with all appliances. It is within easy access of all major ski resorts. The living area is very comfortable with a warm fire place, comfortable couches, and the hot tub is perfect for apres ski. The house comfortably sleeps 12. The parking is super convenient.
We have been staying at this VRBO owner's property since 2002.
We have never wanted to stay anywhere else.
The attention to detail, quality amenities, and superior customer service makes this VRBO Perfect for out needs.
We love it and cannot wait to comeback in 2014.
Yes it is a literal 20 second walk to the Canyons Ski Resort gondola. This accomodation is excellent in every way.
Thank you for taking pride in this VRBO.
We just got back from a week of skiing in Park City, The Canyons. This condo was perfect for our family. We vacationed here with another family and it was the perfect size for us. In total, there were 9 of us, 5 kids (ages 9 months to 9 years) and 4 adults. The second family room upstairs was ideal for us. We were able to have a place for the kids to watch their movies and hang out while we stayed downstairs.
You really can't ask for a better location to The Canyons resort. We literally were right across the street from the resort cabriolet that took us right to the base of the ski trails. I do not ski (nor does my friend) and it was very convenient to take the kids up the lift and drop them off and pick them up from ski school. It was also nice for the men and kids (on non school days) to come back to eat lunch and then go back out to ski. One day the men went to ski at Snowbird and the drive wasn't too far away. The condo was close to shops and grocery.
The condo appeared exactly as the pictures and description. If there was a need, the condo owner was quick to respond. He was was easy and friendly to work with.
If we decide to return to Park City, we will definitely be calling him back!!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We arrived by car to Canyons. The owner gave us much information prior to our arrival about restaurants, facilities, activities within driving distance etc, and also detailed instructions on how to reach the apartment. When we arrived, the owner guided us through everything we needed to know about the condo for keys, guest member passes, He was also easy to contact in case of any questions on our part concerning the apartment and how to leave it upon checkout. The pictures on the site are exactly how we found the apartment upon arrival. Everything was beautiful and perfectly clean. There is a lot to do around Canyons and PArk City. Staying with a group of 8 was very comfortable with plenty of space for all. I think the quality of the apartment combined with the location and price, make it an incredible deal. We would be happy to return next year!
And YES, is just a 20 second walk to the lift!
We absolutely loved this townhouse! It's beautifully updated and there is a ton of space. We had 3 adult couples and a baby. The location is excellent as it really is right across the street from the cabriolet lift which takes you up to the gondola or the orange bubble lift. There are two tv rooms with very large comfy couches and the beds are awesome! We also loved the private hot tub right out the sliding glass doors. We really didn't have any complaints about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking in the Canyons area. The owner was very easy to deal with and the price was unbeatable. One of the drains in the shower was clogged a little and the maintenance guy came right away to fix it. We would definitely come back if we ever make it back to Park City. I don't think you can find a place this nice and spacious for the price.
Right across the street from The Canyons Cabriolet Lift (People Mover)
