My partner and I had a wonderful stay! Check in and check out was easy and the location was very close to everything, so getting around was extremely easy and convenient! The parking garage was a bonus! I'd definitely book again on my next visit! Thank you to my wonderful host
Cute little apartment in St Louis. Very close to all the activities and the neighborhood felt very safe. Easy access to parking. My only complaints, and I’m reaching, is that I wish there was more general items in the kitchen; sugar, salt, pepper, etc. Overall great stay!
We had a great stay. The apartment was a little older but it was clean and quaint. Our only issue was we are not used to apartment living and the apartment above us was walking and stomping loud until about 3 or 4:00 a.m. on one night.

Bait & Switch
Our stay was disappointing. When we arrived we were told that we would be staying in a different unit in the apartment complex. The unit didn't look as nice as the pictures. It had a full-size bed, not a queen. And the bed had a slight tilt to one side. The shower was almost unusable because it had very low water pressure and it was nearly impossible to set it at a comfortable temperature. And we decided against using the very old oven because it smelled like gas. Some positives: The location and parking were convenient. And the unit was fairly clean.
I could not get into the building so I texted and called and I was told my reservation was not in order and I should find a different place , so, I did. They called me back, after being on the phone with someone from the property, and they told me the owner was there to let me in. I said the I had found a new place too say and I didn’t want to stay there do too how I was treated and asked for an apology and an address where I can send the bill too for the hotel I had too get. I still have not heard back.
Overall this was a good place to stay for the price - it was near Forest Park and about a 10-15 minute drive downtown. The unit was clean, although it was old with some creaky and crooked floors.
The check-in process was not our favorite - it is done through a Spanish company that does not list US ID as an option of ID verification which is a bit disconcerting.
Parking is in a garage with an access code. The garage is small with slanted spots that make it extremely difficult to get your car out.
Do be aware that you have to clean up the unit before leaving (e.g. take out the trash, wash the dishes).

Okay stay
Nice neighborhood, great location in St. Louis. Dishes were so dirty-had to wash all before use and didn’t end up using many. Terrible temperature control. We called one evening when we returned to tell them it was so hot inside. We were told a technician was coming and to open the windows and turn on the air conditioning. That worked after a while but same issue next night. Couldn’t open window in kitchen because the smell of smoke from people smoking in the stairwell was overwhelming. One light fixture in the kitchen and one in the bedroom were flashing all the time so we ended up leaving them off.

First of all, the directions were unclear. I had to kind of guess on how to get into the parking garage. I did appreciate that it was fenced in; however, when I looked at the neighborhood, I was saddened (and shocked) at what I saw. It seemed (to me) to be fairly crime-ridden. I didn't see any crimes committed, but I did see lots of trash. Once I got to the door, I had an even worse issue.
I pushed the "ring" doorbell... and two different people were on the other end. They approved of my ID, but then didn't give me access to the apartment. Eventually (15 minutes later) I finally got in. The entrance to the apartment was unlike anything I had ever seen before.
When I finally got into the the apartment, it was as advertised. Unfortunately, there was A LOT of things that were not clearly explained. Overall, it was a relief to get out of there. Considering the cost of a hotel room, I did NOT find this VRBO to be worth it. Unless you don't have another choice, you DON'T want to stay here. Or, if you don't mind "impoverished" areas. If you don't, then this might be fine with you.

Clean, affordable, but just okay-would prefer clearer listing information.
I chose the booking for the location and price. It was fine for a night. However, I was disappointed that the listing did not explain the payment process (I was charged two separate times and thought the second charge was fraud, which caused several problems) nor the fact there was a check-in process where I needed to scan my passport or ID. Since I wasn't going to scan in my passport, the other option was my driver's license but you had to list it as a European ID card. It was all very confusing and seemed unnecessary or at least over the top. Having clearer communication or simply omitting the foreign ID options would have made more sense. When we arrived, 20 minutes after check-in time, our door was open and the room not finished being cleaned yet. However, management responded very quickly. Also, a couple of windows to the outside door were broken and the lock didn't work, so anyone could walk in. That felt a little unsafe except for the neighborhood seemed fine. There is a parking garage, again, a nice perk but is VERY cramped inside and difficult to back out, turn around, and or leave in general. There was also garbage bags everywhere inside. Probably could have just parked on the street. Overall the place was clean and okay for a night, I just would have appreciated clearer descriptions and upfront information. I felt there was more hassle for this one night then with other VRBO bookings I've made/had in the past.
