Loved the house! Super cute and spacious, great kitchen, option to use the garage was great, everything! Only slight complaint is all the beds feel like basically the same fairly hard foam which I didn’t really like, but otherwise it was an almost perfect stay. Will definitely think about staying again if I can make it back to Shelter Cove.

Peaceful Stay

We frequently visit shelter cove for the peaceful atmosphere and beauty of the northern coastline. This house was perfect for us to stay at, close enough to hear the ocean while laying in bed and comfortable enough to feel at home with all the creature comforts we like to have. -Thank you for the great stay Alec!

Beautiful and weel appointed property

My employee and I stayed here one night for two days of work in the Shelter Cove area. This house was really nice, clean and roomy for the two of us. Close to the Cove and the brewery - our favorite place to eat and have a cold one after field work. The neighborhood was quiet, the property behind this house is a bit of an eyesore, but not a big deal for us. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Choice

Property was great. We had everything we needed as far as kitchen amenities, didn't need all but good to know you have options. Plenty of bathroom supplies. Master bath had a shower plus spa tub with shower. Alex, property host, was very responsive to our needs and provided all necessary check-in & check-out procedures includes his phone number in case you need assistance. We definitely will try to rent this property next year. Thank you Alex!

Overall the home was in good condition. A few items were missing or didn’t work in the kitchen. ( can opener, cork screw, etc) WiFi and television were excellent. Communication needs work. ( I had to contact host prior to check in and there was no check out instructions) The location has beautiful areas to visit locally, however nearby parks are difficult to drive to due to bumpy mountain roads.

Restful Get-Away

The two of us enjoyed this property, and its views of the Pacific from the decks (4 of them). The house is spacious and gave us a chance to spread out to do our own thing. Even on a rainy day, we enjoyed just hanging out and relaxing. (Note: it can sleep 6 comfortably. One bedroom with a king; and another with 2 queen beds. ) The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and has enough dishes to actually run a full load of dishes. The house is up the hill from the coastline (but not too far). A great view of the Pacific from the decks off the living room and bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet. Communication with owner was prompt and helpful (when needed). Black sands beach is very close and offers some great walks and views. The local market is small but it has the essentials if needed. Shelter Cover has a limited options for pizza, burgers, and such, so you'll want to make use of the large kitchen.

Perfect get-away.

Great house with sunrise and sunset views as well as the ocean. Close to everything. Easy check-in and check-out. Dog was happy as well.

Clean, spacious, fully stocked with great balconies! The only negative is a very steep driveway. We had a tow hitch and knew there was no way we could make it up there without scraping. Parked on the road instead. Not an issue. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home on the coast

This home is beautiful, the best equipped of any I have stayed in and I travel a lot. Lots of extras. Plenty of dishes so you didn't have to wash after each meal. Really, really enjoyed the patios. Yes, plural there were 4. Great for morning coffee and evening wine--looking at the stars. Loved being able to park my car in a garage. Kitchen very well equipped so you can cook in which is good because not a lot of places to eat in Shelter Cove. The only downside to property is for older people there are lot of stairs but good handrails and the drive up from Garberville is very long, slow and winding (reason for the 4 on location). Would definitely recommend the home if you are staying in Shelter Cove. It is a truly special home. Thanks for sharing with us Jie.

Whitethorn visit

The reason we’re not giving this property 5 stars is mainly due to the location. If you’re looking for something remote, then this is your place. However, we were heading down the west coast and the only way to get here is across a winding narrow mountain pass road that is about an hour off the 101. My fault…I should have paid more attention to the location. But the property was clean and well-equipped and you could see a bit of the ocean from the balcony.

We have stayed in several different homes in Shelter Cove over the past few years. This house was by far the best. It was spotless, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed. We would definitely stay there again!

Everything you need

This house is very accommodating and has everything you need while you explore shelter cove. The interiors are new and finely finished, and there is lots of space for all parties. We will be coming back!
