The views are absolutely stunning and made our afternoon so special, whale watching. It was a bit disappointing to not have a grill to use since that is listed as an amenity, and windows that don’t work well/open up for fresh air. It is worth mentioning, there are several bird nests along the perimeter of the house - which is wonderful to see, but the birds start chirping around 5am, so be mindful of that. I would love to stay here again with my small family as long as the amenities are accurate for meal planning purposes.

the living room and the kitchen was excellent to enjoy the view and staying at the property.
the bluetooth speaker and the coffee bean were the things I enjoyed most.

The house was perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had every appliance known to man, and the views were spectacular. We would definitely come back!
Notes for Shelter Cove: visit the Black Sand Beach and the tide pools below the lighthouse. Monitor the tides for the best times to go. Surf Point Coffeehouse has fantastic breakfast and lunch. Gyppo Ale Mill was our choice for two dinners and has a great cheeseburger, fried chicken sandwich, French fries, and limeade.
An awesome location! Even though we had some rain and stayed inside some of the time, the view from the second floor (where all rooms of rental were located) was absolutely fantastic! You overlook the ocean and surf action, but don't have very much salt spray blurring your windows. Watching the huge waves was super entertainment. Monica great communicator. We'll be back!
This is a great place to stay in Shelter Cove. The house was very clean, which is my wife's most important feature in a VRBO. The views were incredible, and location within Shelter Cove was great. Most Shelter Cove attractions were within easy walking distance from the house.
The first night was a little stuffy, but opening the windows allowing in the cool breeze quickly cooled the house off. Subsequent evenings were fine as we left the windows open during the day.
We wanted to watch whales. We reposition one couch in front of the huge window facing the ocean, got out our binoculars, and hunkered down. Mission complete. One afternoon you could pick out spouts from the white caps, but no problem. Walk over to Gyppos for an IPA.The owner was super responsive to our questions, wifi is fast and reliable, kitchen has everything we needed. It was like being at home, except for watching out our front window.
We were all amazed when we walked up the stairs into the great room and saw the endless ocean views. The home is immaculate, so comfortable with every thing we needed. One tip for those coming- the only grocery store is pricey and the few restaurants have limited menus so definitely bring in food with you. Walking distance to everything. We saw deer, seals, birds and an abundance of sea creatures when tide pooling. If you’re looking to unplug, connect to nature or spend quality time with family/friends this gem is the perfect spot to stay. :)
Stayed here for a family vacation and loved the house. The view was perfect and we loved waking up in the morning to it. The house was clean and easy to access. Looking forward to going back and planning another trip.
We had such a great time staying at this beautiful house! My in-laws, husband and daughter had a blast. It was walking distance to almost everywhere in the lower cove and we loved, while majorly utilizing the chef’s kitchen. Thank you!!
So very peaceful and relaxing. We loved it. Decompressed and revived as we left. The sounds in the morning, the smell of the ocean spray, and the views Hemingway would write about! All topped our favorites list!!! Definitely recommend!!!
Everything was as advertised and better. People are friendly. Waking up to the barking of seals, 2 deer that feed right next to the house, barn swallows flying all around the neighborhood. The views are spectacular both north and south of the property. Getting there is twisting narrow mountain roads but with plenty of turnouts to let faster cars pass. Just excellent
