Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place is wonderful. But, it does need a little TLC for the price you pay to stay. The boardwalk and steps going down to the beach- shoes need to be worn. Sticking up nails and there’s trash under the steps. The bottom level balcony and the little pool again, need TLC.
VrboOwner a répondu le 28 juill. 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words about your stay, and for taking the time to share this feedback with us! We really appreciate you flagging the boardwalk and steps down to the beach — the nails and debris are definitely not okay, and we'll get maintenance out to fix that right away so it's safe for future guests. We also want you to know that we've actually just had the pool freshly painted and completed some maintenance work on the property, so some of what you experienced should already be improved. We're continuing to invest in the upkeep of the bottom-level balcony and pool area as well, and your comments help us prioritize where to focus next. Thanks again for staying with us and for helping us make the property even better — we hope to host you again soon!

The location is the best! The layout of the house was a bit on the negative side: elevator was a plus BUT it’s located in the bedrooms! Kinda weird imo. Sadly the splash pool was off the bedroom that was also used as the main thoroughfare to the beach. Thankfully that room was used by the guests with kids! Lots of pool/beach toys and we had a beach set up of 2chairs/umbrella every day. Golf cart was a plus! The community pool was good but there was no parking so we made the kids walk! Haha … they were not impressed! Once again, the location could not be beat! Thank you Kamps Baai! The grandkids loved the bunk beds which was one of the many reasons I chose here…

Thank you so much for the detailed review! We are so glad the location was such a standout and that Kamps Baai made for such a memorable stay for the whole family, including the grandkids who loved the bunk beds! We appreciate your honest feedback on the layout of the home. The elevator and pool placement are simply part of how the home was originally designed and built, and unfortunately outside of our control as hosts. We completely understand that it may feel a little unconventional, but we are glad it all worked out for your group. We love that the beach setup with chairs and an umbrella every day, the golf cart, pool, and beach toys all added to the fun.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The beach was beautiful and the area of the beach was not super crowded. The street the house is on is very busy, but it didn't bother us as we spent most all our time on the beach. House felt clean and we enjoyed our stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was amazing! We had a family of 6 with two elderly family members and this house was perfect for everyone. Family Beach Vacation

This place is in the best location. Super easy access to the beach and plenty of room for our family. It would have been nice to know that the HOA doesn’t allow beach shade equipment other than umbrellas. One of the bathrooms had outlets that didn’t work but other than those two things this place was great!

Love the location and the host was super easy to work with… Did have some air-conditioning issues… But they were quickly resolved. This is an older property and that does show would have more household things available for use and it was a little bit outdated.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: location was perfect. House was not cleaned well prior to arrival. Floors were clearly not mopped. 1 large dead roach on the stairs as well as another live roach was on the top floor. Management was otherwise very attentive. If they paid more attention to cleaning and upkeep it would be a perfect house and rental.

As expected and then more!

We have been vacationing in Destin for the last 30 years and this was our first time renting a home from this management company. What a fantastic experience! We had two minor issues and the communication and response time was excellent. In regard to the home it was very well equipped and kept very well. The only thing I would improve on is the quality of the mattress in the master bedroom. Our family will rent this property again.
