THE WELCOME

This is the perfect place for one who loves sophisticated living, good food, history, art, and just having fun. La Camille is located in the 4th arrondissement or SoMa (South Marais). The SoMa is filled with hip boutiques, galleries etc. Home also to the Place des Vosges and a stone’s throw from bottom part of the Canal Saint-Martin, the Paris Yacht Club and the Seine. Even better, you will be on the quieter side and therefore able to enjoy the hubbub and also the calm. The apartment is on the sixth floor with elevator. That gives you a great rooftop view of Paris.

You will be greeted at the apartment upon arrival by our American representative, who will give you a tour of the apartment, explain how things work, point out items of interest in the neighborhood, answer your questions and lastly give you the keys to your apartment.

We are located just minutes from the Marché Bastille, Marché d’Aligre, or even the shops on Rue de Rivoli. All three will provide fresh Parisian products, multiple Cheese shops, Bakeries, Wine shops, restaurants, supermarkets, florists, butchers, and several delis of different varieties.

THE LOCATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD

La Camille is just minutes away from the Place des Vosges, the Musée Carnavalet (recently reopened), Musée Picasso, Musée Victor Hugo, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, galleries, restaurants and shops.

It’s an easy stroll to Notre Dame, the Museum of Jewish Art and History, Arts et Métiers, Ile St. Louis, Canal Saint Martin, the Centre Pompidou, and many more. The area is France’s largest historical district and home to a 700 year old Jewish quarter. The 17th century architecture is a magnificent backdrop to all that the neighborhood has to offer.

As with most places in Paris we are conveniently located to the 'Velib' system of shared bikes, as well as other brands.

THE APARTMENT

La Camille is a 2-bedroom apartment (700 square feet or 65 square meters) in a traditional French building but with modern lines found only in luxury Italian design. The apartment was designed by a well-known Italian architect and has been written up in multiple designer magazines. It is modern, comfortable, and functional, decorated with bold colors and top quality finishes.

You enter the apartment into a foyer that gives you access to the all the rooms separately so as to provide some privacy between the various rooms.

The apartment has WIFI, unlimited calling to more than 100 countries, and Cable with large wall-mounted flat-screen TV (Netflix and many other international channels). There are books and magazines for you to explore.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, Nespresso machine and all of the cooking equipment you’ll need. There’s also a combination washer/dryer.

The apartment has double-glazed windows. It is a very bright apartment.

The master bedroom provides a queen-sized bed with reading lights, built-in closets with lots of storage space. All in a peaceful white.

The second bedroom uses a comfortable sleeper-sofa providing space for one guest (120cm X 195cm). The room can be opened up to provide a larger dining/entertainment area together with the living room.

The bathroom has a bathtub with a handheld shower with plenty of hot water. Additionally a sink, toilet and bidet. You will also find a hairdryer at your convenience.

For your convenience there is a separate toilet with small sink.

A comprehensive apartment guide includes operating instructions for all the apartment’s appliances as well as local information and emergency numbers.

This is a non-smoking apartment.

Concierge Services: First class concierge services are available, including personalized trip planning, restaurant suggestions and reservations, specialized walking tours, private excursions with a driver, limousine service, and personal shopping. What you will get from us: We will work with you to provide answers to all your questions before you leave home, and will provide detailed instructions for getting to the apartment, regardless of your mode of transportation. We will offer to book a car service for you, which will streamline the arrival/departure process. We will be there to greet you, help with your luggage, and provide an informative tour of the apartment, explaining how everything works. We will give you a brief introduction to your new neighborhood so you can find all the important things, and can also give recommendations for our favorite bistros, brasseries, cafes, and restaurants, and help make reservations as appropriate.
