About this property
Medical Transition Housing | Quiet Sunroom Retreat
Sunroom Retreat | Suite 35A | Medical Transition Housing Near St. Anthony | St. Joseph | Lakewood Medical Center | Lutheran and more.
Who This Is For This quiet, low-stimulus residential home base is intentionally designed for the day-to-day lifestyle continuity of: ✔ Patients traveling for active treatment ✔ Caregivers supporting a loved one’s recovery path ✔ Healthcare professionals, medical trainees, and clinical staff on extended assignments ✔ Families navigating time-bound medical transitions, recovery, or clinical placements
Core Value Drivers: Stability, Emotional Relief & Space to Breathe Stability During a Difficult Season Medical transitions rarely follow predictable timelines. This suite is reserved as a stable residential home base rather than a vacation rental, providing privacy, consistency, and scheduling flexibility during changing treatment plans, discharge timelines, and extended assignments.
A Natural Break from Clinical Corridors Extended medical stays can make life feel confined to appointments and temporary housing. The suite provides a peaceful residential setting that supports decompression, fresh air, and reconnection with everyday life.
A Dedicated Space to Slow Down Caregiving, recovery, and remote work during a health crisis require room to step away and reset. The defining benefit of this suite is the psychological breathing room it provides, helping guests separate caregiving demands, work responsibilities, and personal recovery throughout longer stays.
A Humanized Alternative to Temporary Housing Rooted in authentic Kenyan hospitality, the suite is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and lived-in, helping guests feel settled and at home during an extended stay. ________________________________________ How Suite 35A Supports Everyday Living Comfort That Supports Daily Life Recovery, caregiving, and demanding schedules are easier when your surroundings reduce unnecessary friction. This suite supports a calm environment that promotes rest, focus, and everyday comfort throughout longer stays.
Preserving Everyday Independence Extended stays should not require sacrificing normal routines. The residence supports day-to-day lifestyle continuity while preserving independence, privacy, and the ability to manage everyday responsibilities during a difficult season.
Staying Connected to What Matters Whether managing telehealth appointments, coordinating care, working remotely, or providing critical family updates, reliable connectivity is an essential part of everyday stability. This suite functions as a dependable communication hub, supporting daily administrative productivity when you need to be on. When the day is finally over, a wall-mounted 75-inch Sony Smart TV provides a comfortable way to unwind, reconnect with loved ones, enjoy a family movie night, or simply disconnect before tomorrow's appointments.
Room to Breathe Longer stays place emotional and logistical demands on households sharing the same space. The suite provides additional breathing room for rest, caregiving, remote work, and personal time, helping household members maintain healthier daily rhythms throughout an extended stay.
Everyday Function with Clear Expectations Extended transitions work best when daily environments align with individual needs and routines. This suite features an upper-level residential layout with a traditional tub/shower combination. Guests are encouraged to review the layout carefully before booking to ensure it aligns with their mobility needs, preferences, and recovery requirements. ________________________________________ LOCATION / PRACTICAL ACCESS Practical Medical & Professional Access Suite 35A is positioned to reduce travel burden and simplify recurring commutes throughout the Denver Metro area. Located on a quiet Lakewood cul-de-sac with no through traffic, the residence is approximately: • 15 minutes (<5.8 miles) to St. Anthony Hospital • 20 minutes (<5.5 miles) to Lutheran Medical Center • 20 minutes (<5.5 miles) to Downtown Denver medical corridors • 30 minutes (<10 miles) to Colorado Blood Cancer Institute The location also provides convenient access to employment centers, pharmacies, grocery stores, essential services, and everyday necessities.
Local Knowledge & Neighborhood Guidance Guests receive practical recommendations for nearby medical facilities, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, parks, lakes, and essential services to help them settle in quickly and navigate the area with confidence.
Privacy, Independence & Reduced Friction The living experience is intentionally structured around privacy, professional boundaries, and guest independence. Self-check-in, written guidance, automated systems, and direct owner oversight help reduce unnecessary interruptions while maintaining a clear path for property-related support.
Operational Flexibility & Transition Support Medical timelines do not always follow a schedule. When availability permits, guests may request early check-in, late checkout, stay extensions, or transfers within KFR's four-suite portfolio. Standard incidental safeguards are processed as a temporary authorization hold rather than an upfront cash deposit, helping keep transition logistics predictable.
📋 Booking Requirements To maintain verified housing standards and a stable residential environment, the following requirements apply to all reservations: • Identity Verification: All adult occupants must provide a government-issued ID, complete intake verification, and sign a formal Residency Agreement within 24 hours of booking to officially secure the stay. • Housing Only (Non-Clinical): KFR provides private restorative housing, not caregiving, medical, or clinical services. Guests are responsible for arranging their own independent caregiver support whenever recommended by their medical team. • Emergency Contacts: Guests may be asked to provide at least two emergency contacts during the intake process for use strictly in health, safety, or occupancy-related emergencies. • Security Hold & Screening: A temporary electronic incidental authorization hold is required at check-in ($500 standard / $750 with approved pet exceptions). No upfront cash deposit is collected. AMEX is not accepted for this hold. Because KFR residences are reserved exclusively for each resident and early departures or unused nights are not refundable, Travel Interruption/Cancellation Protection covering the full reservation period is required for all reservations. Additional resident screening (booking guest) may be required for guests with no platform history reserving 30+ nights. • Pet-Friendly Suites Only: Pre-approved dogs and cats (maximum of two) are permitted only within designated pet-friendly suites (17B and 35B) under a signed pet agreement and applicable community rules. • Booking Integrity: Reservations must be completed directly through this listing or an approved KFR booking channel. We are not affiliated with Houzlet or other unauthorized third-party listing services.

Property is a very clean 2 bedroom; the kitchen, bath and living areas are big. Easy access to I70, Colfax and 6th ave. Anna is a great host and we will definitely stay here again.

Thank you very much Peter for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate the kind words and enjoyed hosting you. We are looking forward to hosting you again in the future. We are making a few more changes to continue to stand out from the competition, not just from a cultural experience standpoint but also with more items in the suite to continue to make for a pleasant long or short stay for our guests. We hope to share that with you and your family when you return to visit. :)
House was immaculate! Very clean and had everything we needed for our fairly short stay (3 nights). It was a great 'home base' for getting to Golden (college drop off at Mines) and RMNP. We didn't use all the amenities and barely cooked during our stay. But we enjoyed watching the Olympics on the BIG tv and we also made good use of the washer/dryer as we had bought new sheets for our college-bound kid and it was nice to give them a preliminary wash. Anna was a terrific host!

Thank you, Anouk, for your kind review. I feel blessed when guests choose my listing for their home away from home during their trip to Denver. I’m glad you loved your stay. Cleaning and staging my rentals is something I take pride in, and I always personally prepare each listing before guests check in. This allows me to see what might be missing or needed to ensure a pleasant stay, whether short or long-term. It also helps me identify amenities to boost or add for future stays, including repeat guests, which I am fortunate to have many of.
All my listings are centrally located, making it easy for guests to reach nearby cities, necessities, and local attractions. I’m also close to the Wadsworth Blvd light rail station, which is convenient for NREL interns needing to get to Golden for work. I’m glad you enjoyed some of the amenities I provide, like the 75” wall-mounted Sony TV, which enhances the viewing experience and fills the large living room space. I’m also pleased you used the washer/dryer and starter supplies during your stay.
With family now nearby at the School of Mines, I hope you’ll consider staying at any of my listings again. I always have something special planned for repeat guests as a way to show my appreciation. Thank you again for your stay and kind review.
