Janski Manor was once the home of a local lumber baron and mill owner, but now this totally updated, impressive historic building serves the short term rental market for visitors to the Jay Peak area of Northern Vermont. This expansive 4000 sq. ft. vacation rental offers 7 bedrooms 4 1/2 bathrooms, easily accommodating families and friends, up to a maximum of 14 persons. Our visitors will be captivated by the charm, elegance and comfort found at Janski. It makes for the ideal ski lodge in winter with discounted lift tickets available or if coming for a wedding, golf trip or family reunion, a stay at Janski will create lasting memories. Janski is just 10-12 minutes from Jay Peak where you can enjoy the ski mountain, water park, golf & so much more.

The Janski Manor was perfect for our group of 13 people. Plenty of room in this house to spread out, have some privacy. The house accommodated us having breakfast and dinners together. We enjoyed an evening outside with a nice fire outside in the fire pit. Beds were very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed every part of this home.

We had a great time at staying at this beautiful home. So many places to hang out. Great firepit and wonderful front porch. We all had our own bed and suite. There are bathrooms everwhere :) - Beautiful wood and antique feel but not so big that you did not feel at home. Very warm and comfortable for a large family or great friends! Thank you to Sarita our host - we had a great time and you and Ray were so nice and helpful! We hope to visit again!

Perfect! 7 cousins and spouses from all across the country really enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed or could ask for. Owner responded immediately when we had a small influx of honey bees getting inside. It wasn’t a big deal. Highly recommend and hope to all gather here again sometime.

Ski trip getaway

Big house with plenty of room. Just a short 10 minute drive to jay peak for skiing. The inside of house was very clean and had all supplies needed for stay. Including paper goods, cleaners, towels, and linens. It was easy to contact with property host. Cell service is spotty depending on carrier but house WiFi worked great. We would stay again.

This North Troy grand old home worked out perfectly for my family who attended an intimate wedding in nearby Newport. With seven bedrooms, two sitting areas, an office, a huge kitchen, two large dining tables, there was plenty of room for young and old to both gather together and to spread out for “ quiet time.” The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the house was, especially for an older home, very quiet. Window air conditioners and fans kept the house comfortable during a few hot, muggy days. The front porch, overlooking the expansive lawn, was a nice hangout. Though we were there for a wedding, we enjoyed a day trip into Newport, a beach afternoon at Lake Willoughby ( absolutely worth the 40 minute ride), an afternoon at the gorgeous swimming hole at nearby Jay Gorge. The countryside of the Northeastern Kingdom is beautiful. Communication with the owner is excellent. I would stay at this home again

Family get together for skiing and hanging out

I organized a family get together for 10 adults and 2 grandchildren under 5. We stayed for three nights. The group was made up of skiers, snowshoers and some that just wanted to hang out. The entire group had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room in the house, all the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of common areas to hang out. The dining room was also large enough for all of us to have dinner together. We picked the area because of the proximity to Jay Peak Ski resort which is very close and the skiers had a wonderful time. I also went to the large indoor waterpark at the resort with the grandkids and they loved it. The Host was helpful in directing us to nearby snowshoe trails which were fine with what the group wanted to do. We brought our own food which worked out great so I am not sure what is nearby for a large food run. The kitchen met all our needs.

Small Family Reunion

We were looking for a place to gather with extended family we had not seen in 10 years. This property exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Beautiful old house recently restored with many bedroom, baths and sitting rooms. Super large dining room, and kitchen. Tastefully decorated, squeaky clean and very comfortable. Huge yard for the kids to run around in, and plenty of parking. All that in a little hamlet 1 mile from the Canadian border and 20 minutes from Jay Peak. Everything we needed or wanted was there for us to use. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I came here to ski twenty years ago and loved it so much, we never left! We consider ourselves privileged to share this wonderful property with visitors seeking to experience all that Vermont has to offer at whatever time of year.

Why they chose this property

When we first toured Janski, we saw a tired but graceful old building desperately in need of love and attention which we were happy to provide. The result is an historic building that exudes the best of a bygone era but has all modern amenities including Comcast cable for high speed wireless internet so guests can work from home when staying at Janski whether for a weekend or longer.

What makes this property unique

If here in fall, guests are invited to pick apples from the heirloom apple trees that abound the property. They defy description for their juiciness and flavor.
