Excellent and comfortable stay in well appointed unit

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our sunrise mornings on the veranda while sipping coffee and lounging in our PJ's. We even saw whales on our last 2 days! The location can't be beat. Walking to the nearby mega store for staples or enjoying brunch across the street were a fantastic bonus to this lovely unit. Friendly guards and neighbors. Beautifully landscaped pool areas, hammocks and a hot tub to soak in for the evening. Thank you so much Ron! We had a wonderful trip filled with laughter and memories and hope to visit Las Mananitas on our next visit.

Great Spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great time. This condo is comfortable and well maintained! the waves can be heard throughout the condo. It is very close to the beach (the pictures don't actually do it justice). In fact, we would have our coffee on the deck and we could still see our boys (12 & 8 yrs old) playing Frisbee on the sand. Highly recommend. Ron is a lovely guy and very responsive. A great jumping off spot for Cabo adventures. Amazing pools.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Wife and I, along with another couple, stayed at Mananitas from Dec. 25, 2015 - Jan. 1, 2016. First things first. I really enjoyed working with Ron regarding our stay. He was quick to answer questions via e-mail and we had conversations on the phone and text. Can't say enough about how comfortable I felt heading into this stay.

The condo is as advertised, maybe a little better. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots and pans, cooking utensils and kitchen supplies. This included two coffee makers, which was really appreciated as we had a decaf drinker and a couple regular coffee drinkers among us. We cooked breakfast most mornings, so we really appreciated the kitchen.

This condo has a great veranda/lanai with a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez. There was a full moon during our stay, so watching the moon rise and the reflection of the water was really something. The wife is not a huge sun person, so she really enjoyed being able to relax and read here during the day and the four of us spent many hours here in the evening.

Other highlights:

- Great pool options. We are beach people, so did not use the pools, instead enjoying the wide beach. Great place of seaside sunning.

- A five minute walk to the Mega, a full service grocery (and more) that will have all the things you would need during your stay. Ron has a cart, cloth bags and bag holders available. These are great as the bags used in Mexico and not comparable to what you might be used to from your local US grocery.

- Strong and reliable wi-fi.

- Cabs and local busses are a couple minutes walk away. Several good restaurants within walking distance. I see people on message boards talking of walking to town, but that is probably a little over two miles. Bus ride was slightly over $1 and a cab was $6 for four of us.

- Very secure setting. Security personnel were very visible, day and night. They quietly went about their business.

This was our first stay in San Jose after over a dozen stays in Cabo San Lucas. San Jose is much quieter than San Lucas, which we found quite refreshing. Many good restaurants all over town. I would anticipate that we will be returning to San Jose and this great condo.

Very Overdue Review

  • 5 of 5

I just realized that I had not written a review about our stay at the condo last November! We were the first ones to stay here after the terrible Hurricane that hit in September. Ron was wonderful regarding the reservation and was supportive of any decision that we wanted to make about keeping our plans to stay at the condo. Lucky for us, the condo was in great shape and showed minimal damage (a few broken outdoor lights and ceiling fans inside were not usable). This was our second stay at the condo and we really love the location of the end unit. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to plan another trip in the future. Thanks so much, Scott and Sherry Bechard.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for five weeks in Las Mananitas. It is very quiet, has a great view, and the best thing was it only gets morning sun, as the temperatures this year were warmer than usual. The complex is very well maintained, the security guards and concierge desks were helpful. There is nothing missing in this condo, it is comfortable, well laid out, has nice furniture and the owner's own particular decorative items are very charming. If you are over sixty the short walk to Mega is a real plus. Also, the selection of pools allows one to escape the kids if you want peace and quite by choosing another pool area. The pools are not heated at this time of year, but it was so warm we didn't care. Dish network is available and if watching television during your vacation is important to you, then another place might be better, as most Dish satellite coverage doesn't include US stations in Mexico. The owner has supplied many beach and pool toys, noodles, coolers etc., so you certainly don't have to purchase anything. We were very happy here and look forward to visiting again.
