About this property

2200sqft of Beachfront Luxury at reasonable prices!!

Spectacular luxury condo right on the beach brand new in late 2007. This is not your average 'boxy' condo. High end finishes include custom alder cabinets, natural stone and granite, brushed nickel hardware, recessed down lighting on dimmer switches, alder interior doors, plantation shutter wood closets, all stainless appliances. The living room is spacious with tremendous light emanating from the huge glass sliders that disappear into the wall, making the 600 sqft balcony one with the living room! The center island is the focal point of the gorgeous fully equipped kitchen.

Both the primary and the secondary bedroom have full sea views with pocket glass doors that lead directly to the beachfront balcony. The primary bedroom has one king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom with oversized tub. Louvred shutters open into the bedroom and give way to the beautiful Sea of Cortez view. The second bedroom has 2 queen-size beds and its own bathroom also.

El Zalate Beachfront Resort is tropically landscaped and just minutes from San Jose Del Cabo and a short drive from the airport. The resort boasts a spa and 2 beautiful swimming pools - one with beach entry (ideal for kids) and another infinity style pool. The retail center adjacent o the property consists of a convenience store and pharmacy. The giant 'Comer' supermarket is just half a mile away. Several restaurants are within walking distance. You can enjoy live music and dining on the sand at the Coral Baja Hotel next door.

Guests will have access to onsite pickleball and gym.

Please note that we are in a large condominium resort and there is always the possibility of work being carried out in the resort and in other units, especially during off season.

We were 3 ladies traveling together and really enjoyed our stay in the condo. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. The guest bedroom with 2 queen beds is a bit tight for luggage space, but that was easily solved by utilizing the seating area near the condo entrance for one of our suitcases. Clare and Mauricio were very helpful with a few minor issues that were easily resolved. We had massages done right on the balcony. Clare had provided us with their contact information and they even gave us a 25% discount since Clare had referred us! The view was amazing and pool area was great. Highly recommend this condo.

We’ve just returned and had an amazing trip. The condo is perfect. The deck is angled in such a way that you never have direct sunlight streaming in through the front windows, and you can sit in sun or shade. Sitting out on the deck was the best thing ever! There were also 3 different pools to use, plus a hot tub. There were lots of places to sit around the pool and lots of umbrellas and shelters for shade. Walking down the beach was a real treat and seeing the whales in the distance was a real wow factor. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you would need, and there were several different seating areas for everyone to either gather or have their own space. The property manager was responsive and very helpful, the guards at the gate were friendly and helpful, and having an Oxxo at the corner was super convenient. The closest restaurant (Sardina Cantina.) was the best restaurant we visited all week - cash only but so worth it. We highly recommend this condo for anyone visiting the area!

What an amazing stay at Clares! The views alone made the trip special. The condo itself was well equipped and very homey, we had everything we needed from plenty of towels and blankets to cookware and beach supplies!

This condo has a fantastic location, you can to the beach, breakfast, dinner or a fun time at a sports bar. The pool area is good and the views are beautiful. I would definitely stay here again! The cable was fantastic and we were able to watch our local football, basketball and baseball teams!

Great property in a terrific location

We really enjoyed our stay in Clare's condo at El Zalate. This condo's location is well suited to enjoy both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose and is importantly, a very quiet location. Its a great property for families as it is steps away from the beach and there are multiple pool options (two pools and a hot tub). We would certainly stay here again on our next trip to Baja.

Perfect getaway!

The condo was perfect for two couples. Lots of space to relax and enjoy our vacation. The property is incredible...beautiful gardens, lots of pool space and easy access to the beach. Restaurants and grocery stores all walking distance from this lovely property. We would love to come back!

Whale of a good time

From the afternoon we arrived to the afternoon we left we saw whales. Sunrise from the deck is spectacular. The condo had everything we could have needed. The only downside was the busy road. It was very hard to walk until you got closer to the bigger resorts.

I am from Dublin, Ireland and my husband is from Lyon, France. We have 3 kids, who absolutely love our beachfront condo. We live in Los Angeles, just a 2 hour flight from Cabo. We own 3 other vacation rental properties, one in Deer Valley, Utah, and the other in Lake Arrowhead and Palm Springs, California.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the fabulous beachfront location at El Zalate. We bought our condo before the last phase was built in 2007. We stayed at El Zalate on 2 occasions and just loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The resort was very kid friendly with the beach entry pool and we loved being just steps to the sand. The resort was never too crowded but yet we could go next door to Coral Baja if we wanted something a little more lively. The plans for the new phase were very impressive with really luxury finishes and we particulary loved the pocket doors off every room which disappear into the wall so the terrace and the interior become one. We were not disappointed with the result, only that we cannot get there as much as we would like due to work and school constraints.
