The Outpost! 5-Bedroom Ranch with Donkeys!

The charming and ADA approved urban ranch is nestled within NW Tucson, located 10 minutes from downtown & 6 miles from the University of Arizona campus.

This Mexican adobe brick Outpost’s 5-bedroom house has picturesque city & mountain views, and provides guests the unique opportunity to visit with the ranch’s horse, goats, and donkeys.

You’ll find blooming Saguaro cacti and lush citrus trees encompassing our desert landscape, capped off by a horse trail for the adventurous to the corral.
The space
The Outpost’s 3,500 square foot sits atop the Hermosa Vista hills within the prestigious Casas Adobes neighborhood with spectacular city and mountain views. 3 of the 5 bedrooms have King-beds, one has a Queen (and one bedroom has two Twins) and all have TV’s with ROKU. Outdoors there is a masonry firepit and a hot tub/spa for relaxing.

This property and home is 100% wheelchair accessible and meets ADA guidelines.

RV parking is available.
Guest access
We offer guests and attendees to special events spacious parking for up to 30 vehicles. The property resides in NW Tucson near the Casas Adobes neighborhood.

Guests can walk the Burro Trail to our El Dorado Stables to see the livestock of horses, donkeys and goats—even given a chance to join us to toss out bales of hay during corral feedings.

This property and home is 100% wheelchair accessible and meets ADA guidelines.
Other things to note
We host weddings and other special events, offering parking for up to 15 vehicles.

To mark the end of each day and to honor the men & women who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms, a 58-second Taps Bugle Call will sound on The Outpost’s grounds every night at Official Sunset and at high Noon on both Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

We have been to Tucson numerous times and this was by far our favorite trip. The house was so comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything we could need. My daughter fell in love with the donkeys and I think we walked the burrow trail at least 2 times a day. The host was so friendly and kind! We absolutely could not have asked for a better stay.

Great place and wonderful hosts

Kiki and Patrick's home was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The hosts were gracious and accommodating and my whole family enjoyed visiting the animals at their stable. We would definitely return here.

Perfect place for a family gathering

We were a group of ten family members in town for a memorial service. The house was spacious and well appointed. All of us were very pleased to be able to stay together in a place that had more than enough room for a large group.

Great place would recommend

We enjoyed being able to spend time with the animals and meeting Patrick. It was nice to see them after a stressful day and being away from home. The house was perfect for us to come back to each night and have a great place to unwind. The kitchen is perfect to make meals and plenty of space for everyone.

The Outpost was the best!

We stayed at The Outpost for our daughter's graduation from U of A. Everything about The Outpost was fantastic. We were just amazed by the amount of space. Our elderly parents were traveling with us and the wide hallways, walk-in showers, and ramp on the patio were fantastic for them. The kitchen is so stocked, there wasn't once I couldn't find something I needed for cooking meals. Our favorites were the location and the outdoor space. We felt so centrally located to everything, it didn't take us long to get to where we were going. The outdoor space is wonderful - the patio is shaded almost all day and the views! Communication was quick and easy. Thanks so much Patrick and Kiki. We had an amazing time!

The house is spacious, comfortable, clean and well stocked with everything you need for a family barbeque. We enjoyed the back deck, hot tub and fire pit. Our host was responsive and answered all our questions. We will probably return next year for the 2027 Tucson Rodeo.

Fantastic place for large family gathering

We LOVED this place. large house and spaces. handicap accessible everywhere. basically 4 master bedrooms and another room with 2 twins. nice kitchen with all the stuff needed. easy access and close to town/university. we had 4 adults who stayed and 4 college kids who were over for meals. plenty of room inside and out. nice grill that we used.
