The "Lion House" is a completely restored charming 1930s home located in the heart of St. Charles’ National Historic District.

Explore all that St. Charles has to offer…perfect place to stay (Lindenwood University - only one mile away) and play as you are only steps from the walkable historic Main Street lined with boutiques, eateries, gourmet shops, Katy Trail (bike trail & rentals), museums, pubs & nightclubs, and much more! What a cozy, clean, comfy house! The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything needed to make our stay welcoming. The location is perfect...2 block walk to Main Street. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. We will stay here again if we are back in St. Charles!

Great communication made our stay easy & stress-free. House was as described, and included all the amenities of home - and the fluffiest, softest towels ever! We enjoyed the short walk to Main Street which looks like a scene from a Hallmark movie. Great place to stay for 3 or 4 people.

Great house and even better location!

Great area and very cute home! Kim was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We loved that this location was dog friendly with an enclosed yard. Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Lion House. The house is very clean and comfortable and they have everything you might need. The kitchen is well furnished. It’s a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. The Katy Trail is close by. We would all stay here again.

Rich and I have been happily married for nearly 30 years. We have two grown children: McKenzie, a nurse at Vanderbilt, and Cameron, who played lacrosse at Lindenwood University (also known as Lion House) and is now a sales leader at an AI company. Our family loves the great outdoors and cherishes the time we spend together.

We fell in love with St. Charles the moment we visited; it immediately felt like home. When we're not enjoying our time at the Lion House, we are often in Indianapolis. We find ourselves here frequently, and it brings us immense joy to share the Lion House with you!

Built in 1930, this home retains much of its original charm while offering many modern amenities. The Lion House can accommodate up to six guests across two bedrooms (a king bedroom upstairs and a queen bedroom on the main level) and an ultra-comfy sleeper sofa on the main level. With two baths, luxurious accommodations, and superb services, we ensure an unforgettable stay.

In the summer, the backyard is adorned with string lights and features a Wicker/Rattan 6-person seating group with cushions and a table. The garage is stocked with lawn games, including bags and a giant colorful Jenga, as well as a gas grill.
