Historic Home - Private Beach Access - World Class Golf!

In the heart of Gulf Shores, our house is two blocks from the beach and all the eats! The property has private beach access just 2 blocks from the house. 3 blocks from Hangout Festival.

We are ideally located for world class golf in Gulf Shores - just 13 minutes to Craft Farms, and just 20 minutes to Kiva Dunes Resort and Golf!

Newly renovated historical cottage with TONS OF room. 2000 square feet. A spacious kitchen, Two dens, 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a half bath! Sleeps 12 comfortably!

The Southern Sun House was originally part of the Oleander Cottages on the beach in the early 1950s then later moved to its current location in 1998! Our newly renovated beach cottage is the perfect place to gather together for your getaway!

Spend your days soaking up the sun or enjoying the local adventures!

A Perfect Beach Getaway!This house is absolutely beautiful! The space is perfect for a big family — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything you might need during your trip. The location is fantastic; it's an easy walk to the beach, which made everything so convenient.The home truly lived up to all of our expectations. One of our favorite parts was the back patio — such a peaceful spot to relax in the evenings after a fun-filled day at the beach. We spent every night out there unwinding together.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend this home, and we would definitely love to come back!

A comfortable home within easy walking distance to the beach. The kitchen was spacious and functional for cooking for a lot of people. Several small sitting areas provided great spots for a few folks. All the beach equipment you need is at the house. Dog parks and walking trails about a mile away for Fido's comfort.

Good Location

It was just close enough to the beach, and walking distance! However, the place was dirty when walking in. Two of the beds had sand in the sheets already, hardly any cleaning supplies. No broom, so we had to get creative. 2 trash bags were left for us, not enough for our entire stay. Not near enough tp. We had to go buy a lot of those things.The air went out upstairs and the owner had someone right on it that night. But the next morning, had another repair guy coming for the same thing when it was already taken care of. The day after that a guy “had to come measure doors?” Just a lot of strangers in and out of the house while we were there.We did enjoy being so close to the beach and being in a beach house for the first time.

Everything was great and the owner was so flexible!

We were so happy with the house. We really enjoyed the patio swing and chair area. We were traveling with young children and the owner was flexible with check in and checkout to accommodate nap time. We were so appreciative and would come back!

As described and great location

Property was clean and easy to keep clean. Plenty of dinnerware/cookware. Appliances worked as intended. Plenty of TVs with plentiful TV/streaming subscription viewing options. Plenty of sleeping space. Property is in close proximity to beach, stores, and restaurants. Towns outside of the immediate are just a short drive away. All within our party were very please with this place. Thank you.

Perfect location

We travel and stay a lot of places and I will say this is one of the best places we have stayed. I was hesitant because it was across the street from the beach but the walk was no different from walking from a condo. It was a very short walk and very convenient location. The house was stocked well with everything that you could need and there were even snacks there. I can’t say enough good things about this rental. The owner was in touch checking in making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

Great condo for a large group!

Our group of 14 (12 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed our stay here! The condo was clean, spacious, and thoroughly equipped. The owner was super quick to respond to any questions we had, and even offered to reimburse us for groceries when we thought something was wrong with the fridge! (The fridge ended up being ok, but he was super generous to accommodate any food we may have lost). The condo is a short walk to the beach as stated in the description. We brought wagons to carry our things to the beach and the condo also had one available for use as well. We were able to walk to dinner on the nights we wanted to walk, or we would take a 2 min drive into town to park and eat or shop. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would look into this condo again for a large group!

Great location and plenty of room

This house has plenty of room and is conveniently located to major attractions in Gulf Shores. The bunk room upstairs was very spacious and gave the kids somewhere to hangout, plus there are 2 separate living rooms (one downstairs, and one upstairs) It was an easy walk to the beach. We had a great time !
