Located in the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor, you'll be entranced by views of lobster fisherman returning to the wharf. Spend a warm summer day exploring the quaint gift shops and enjoy some of Maine's best seafood. Hop on a harbor cruise to catch sight of whales, seals, lighthouses and puffins.
The space
The Coastal Cottage Suite is a one bedroom, one bathroom suite with attached living room. You will enter through a private entrance, up one flight of stairs. A private galley kitchen is included where you can prepare your own meals. This Suite is decorated in serene blue and beige decor to relax you after a long day of sightseeing, hiking, or kayaking. There are stunning water views of Boothbay Harbor from both the bedroom and living room.


This suite sleeps two people and is outfitted with a queen size bed. The living room is equipped with Roku and WIFI is included. There is one parking spot provided; street parking is limited to two hours. The backyard is shared with the adjacent units, which may be occupied during your stay.
Guest access
Located in the back of the building is a private entry up one flight of stairs to yellow door #1. Parking is on the right side of the driveway, pull in at an angle.
Other things to note
A short ten minute drive away is renowned Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, you’ll be enchanted by the beautiful foliage and troll sculptures. Ask your hosts, Steve and Julie, for assistance in booking a trip to Cabbage Island for a clambake. There are over 30 restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance for you to enjoy.


The Coastal Cottage Suite is located at 53 Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor, Maine 04538, next to Ports of Italy, and three blocks from the Footbridge.

Perfect weekend

The apartment is centrally located in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. Window view of the harbor. Right across from Blue Moon cafe. Excellent place for breakfast. We went on the Puffins and whale tour. I got to see my first puffin. A trip to Coastal Maine Botanical Garden was worth an adventure out of the harbor. Had a slight issue common with toilet and it was fixed right away.

The stairs are a challenge for older people

The apartment is conveniently located in the heart of a busy village, clean, and comfortable. We drove to several seaside and forested walks, and took the ferry to Monhegan.

Boothbay Harbor Gem!

Steve and Julie’s quaint apartment was the perfect spot for my hubby and I to rest in between all the adventures the sweet harbor town has to offer! It’s conveniently situated right in the middle of town and walkable to all the restaurants, coffee shops and shopping you could want with beautiful views of the harbor. The apartment itself isn’t anything fancy, but it was cozy and comfortable for us to rest our heads. Steve and Julie live in the unit below during the summer and were happy to offer restaurant suggestions and definitely exceeded our expectations as hosts! I highly recommend!

Perfect spot in Boothbay Harbor!

Nothing but great things to say about this rental. The location was perfect, as it's right in the heart of the Harbor. Plenty of restaurants, shops, and sites just steps from the door. Julie was quick to answer any questions and made some great restaurant suggestions. The apartment was the perfect size for two. Generous bathroom (great water pressure in the shower, by the way!), sunny living room, kitchen with anything we'd need (including the Keurig coffee and waters in the refrigerator - thank you!), and a nice bedroom with a view. If we don't stay there on our next visit it's only because we'll be checking out Julie's newest rental on the floor above!

LOCATION!!

You can't beat this perfect location in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. Walk to everything and parking. Early morning traffic could be a bit noisy (slept with windows open/AC off), but that's not controllable. I believe Tuesday is trash pick up day; and also both restaurants across the street were having something pumped - at 6 a.m. - just bad timing. Window AC in bathroom (only window that could be used as others are crank out) for the space but provided plenty of fans to keep air moving. Great little spot with friendly and responsive hosts - would stay again.

We so enjoyed staying at the Maine Harbor Suites that we returned two days later after visiting Acadia National Park. The property is perfectly located with stunning views. This unit had a kitchen that allowed us to bring our personally selected lobster right from the Harbor and a bottle of Rose' to the house for a delicious dinner. If you want the true feel of Maine this is your spot! Thanks, Julie and Steve it was a pleasure getting to know you and we will be BACK!!!
