Living Room has Queen pull-out sofa bed. Rooms Freshly painted. Hardwood floors through out the house. Sports & Adventure Activities
We have been staying here for a number of years now.
Always a great time. The location cant be beat. Steps from a beautiful
beach. 3rd house off of the beach. Large home, many bedrooms, many
bathrooms, many decks. All furnishings are on point. 3rd floor is perfect for
entertaining/hanging out. Huge living space/dining room with large kitchen
spills out to enormous deck with access to roof deck. Sunset views. Cant get
a better house in a better location at this price....period.
Neglected & Shabby
We had high expectations when we saw photos of the property and how close to the beach it was. Unfortunately, the house has been neglected and not maintained. Carpets and furniture were stained. Some pieces of furniture were in need of repair. Additionally, many rooms need re-painting. That would not have been so bad if the cleanliness of the house had been up to basic standards. I spent the the first two days cleaning pots, pans, cooking & eating utensils, glassware and dishes - many of which were put away in the cabinets and drawers dirty and greasy. The oven, stove top, refrigerator shelves, drawers and cabinet shelves all needed to be cleaned. Bathrooms seemed to have been wiped around, but on further inspection, toilets were soiled and required scrubbing and disinfecting.
The outdoor garbage and recycling cans were filled to overflowing and left uncovered. The untied bags sent trash all over the yard during a rain and wind storm. We had to wait several days until the regularly scheduled trash removal made it possible for us to cover the cans.
It is a shame the house has been neglected, because it has the potential to be an ideal vacation spot.

I have read your review on VRBO and am deeply disappointed in your impression of my home. I take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. If you were unhappy with the condition of the property, it was your responsibility to contact me immediately.
Although I am not in the area, I do have someone that is on call at all times to inspect and repair any situations. If the plates, utensil, pots and pans, oven, stovetop, refrigerator and bathrooms were not up to your standards, you should have notified me and I would have resent the cleaning crew who would have recleaned up to your standards under your supervision.
I have beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house with few area rugs. There is no extensive carpet in the house.
If there was furniture that was in need of repair, a photo should have been taken and sent to us immediately. Unfortunately, the time you spent there, there were many rainy and windy days. You arrived on Saturday and trash collection days are on Tuesday and Thursday.
Prior to your stay, you contacted my manager many times for information in which she graciously took the time to send you. You were sent information that clearly stated emergency numbers in case there was a problem. Also, instead of communicating with me to rectify the situation you surprised me with a negative review online which is very unfair.
Our Home Away From Home
This is the seventh year my family has rented this property, We love it so much, and have already re-rented for next year.The location of the house is truly the BEST. It is on a beach block, with amazing views of the ocean and bay. It is within walking distance to shops. In addition, you aren't piled on top of your neighbors. This gives you privacy and a less crowded beach. It is much more crowded and cramped in other parts of LBI. The location alone makes this house worthwhile.
The house sleeps many people, and the layout of the basement "rec room" area makes it like a mini apartment. It is great for multiple families or couples. There is a TV in every bedroom, which my family loves. A lot of houses only have TVs set up in main areas of the house. We also love utilizing the outdoor shower, in addition to the two other showers. We never have a problem getting ten people cleaned up after a beach day.
Every year the owners add new decorative touches, and work on the house in some way. We enjoy looking of new pieces of artwork or accents whenever we go. Even on rainy days, this house has something to offer. The kitchen island adjacent to the dining room table is a great common area for game playing. We love watching a good thunderstorm from the almost 360 degrees of windows.
There are plenty of utensils, cookware and serving ware. My FIL is a professional chef and is happy with the tools on hand. We love eating meals together on the deck. The table has more then enough seating for all of us. Here's a good tip: Use PeaPod by Stop and Shop to have your groceries delivered right to the door.
My husband is a neat freak and is always happy with the state of the house. It is a popular beach house used by lots of people each summer, so as far as furniture and rugs, everything isn't going to stay 100% brand new. You may find some stray grains of sand here and there, after all they have a limited time to "flip" the house for the new guests. But we are always very comfortable. As far as the garbage pails, when you arrive on Saturday you will see garbage bags in the pails from the previous guests, because the town doesn't pick it up until Tuesday.
I am not the only repeat renter of this property, and it is fully booked every summer. If you're looking for a cozy and comfortable beach house, that sleeps a lot of people, with a unique charm and an amazing location, this is the house for you. Our hearts break a little when we leave it each year.
We have been coming to LBI for 25 years. The last 10 years we have been staying at this house. We now call it our beach house we love it so much. It’s in a great location on a quiet, private block just two houses from the beach. The house is beautifully decorated. The dining room and living room were comfortable and fit our extended family. The bedrooms were great with a flat screen TV in each room. There is also plenty of parking for family and visitors.
We really enjoyed the outside deck where we spent most of our nights. We enjoyed the great view of the sunrise and sunset. Love the extra-large wrought iron table where we have dinner every night.
We find the home to be extremely clean and if there was ever a problem a resolution was just a phone call away. Dishes, pots and pans are always clean and well stocked.
I read a recent review on this beautiful home and I don’t know what those renters were talking about. It certainly does not describe the house we rent!
We hate having to leave and can’t wait for next year!!!!!!!!
A week of paradise.
My family has been renting 1039A for over 6 years and the property never disappoints us. The interior décor is lovely and the view from the deck is breathtaking. The property is always immaculate upon arrival, and believe me, I have OCD when it comes to cleanliness. Over the years, we have met the great cleaning crew. They have always cleaned the property to the highest standards. Even though the property is well maintained, the owner provides numbers if there are any emergency situations. In the 6 years I have never had to utilize them. This property has become a second home for my family and friends. We love this house so much, next years vacation week is already booked!!
Just on the way home from another great week in LBI. Staying at the home for the last four years never disappoints us. Our three families fit so comfortably. The home has everything we need. Always a pleasure. Thank you!
