This cabin was the perfect place to rest up before hiking Lost Maples. We had deer friends visit while drinking our coffee on the back porch! Would absolutely stay again.
Great getaway for a family. Close to Garner. Sabina River is not flowing, but still a nice location.

Glad you had a great getaway !
Yes we are In a severe drought right now and the river is not flowing but hopefully we will get some rain soon and the rivers will be flowing again !!
Very clean cabin and beautiful parks. We had a great time walking the trail. We recommend the barbecue place in Leakey “The Hog Pen on 336 BBQ. The only disappointment was that the river behind the cabin was dried and according to previous comments it has been dried for a few years.
6 of us stayed in the cabin and attended an Octoberfest celebration at a private ranch nearby.
We had a great time in the cozy cabin. We barbecued bratwurst sausages and fajitas one night.

I didnt know it would be so close to the hiway.about 120 feet. We hoped all we would hear would be nature not passing cars but the cabin was so adorable and had every accommodation. It was a peaceful beautiful stay.
Was a great spot for trips to Garner or over to San Antonio. It is right next to a main road where there was road noise in the front bedroom even during the night, but other than that it was perfect for what we needed! Nicely taken care of and clean.

We have stayed at this property several times. It’s a great location for a nice quiet getaway. Fantastic birding and long walks. Very easy to get to Garner State Park to hang out in the river. The cabin is clean and spacious and well equipped. The only heads up I would give is that the stairs to the two beds on top are steep, so be prepared for that. I love staying here and really appreciate that my dog is welcome too!!
Our trip was not the trip that we had planned due to a death in the family but provided us with the quiet that we needed. The cabin is very quaint and cute and the outdoor spaces are very relaxing. The river was not up during our stay but you could tell that it would have been wonderfully relaxing. The kids loved the little loft upstairs
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained everything was. The attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and all the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin made our time there unforgettable.Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee on the porch, relaxing by the fire, or just taking in the quiet beauty of nature, every moment was special. It was the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and tranquility. We’re already dreaming of coming back and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Jones Cabin!
It was a pleasure to host you. We are welcome back anytime. Hope to see you again in the future!
This house is small but just right for 2 people.
Did not need the upstairs bunks. Had all the kitchen utensils needed. The only concern was the totally dry Sabinal River behind it. Property was clean and well-organized…everything in good working order.
Quiet and comfortable.

Tiny cabin away
Small cabin, can sleep 6 but not comfortable for six. Unfortunately the creek behind it was dry which was a selling point, has lots of outdoor seating, great trees behind cabin, sits on a very busy hwy though. Cooking is a challenge. There is no stove. Beds are fine although one sits in an entry area and is awkward for a group
I cannot say enough positive things regarding our stay. The cabin was fully equipped to meet our needs, even with an infant in tow. We loved having evening fires near the river. We unfortunately had some car trouble and then locked ourselves out of the cabin. Tracey immediately came to let us in and even offered to pick my husband up from Uvalde if needed. She called again at the end of the day to check in and make sure we were doing OK. We loved our stay and really appreciated Tracey’s help, she truly went above and beyond.
