Shoalwater 805, Beachfront Home Away From Home

Shoalwater 805 is a fully-renovated and thoughtfully appointed, 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit with tile floors throughout, beautiful white cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Enjoy views of the sugar white sand beach and emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico from the entry, kitchen, dining area, living room, and master bedroom. The master bedroom and first guest room have king-size beds. The second guest room has a queen-size bed and a very cushy foldout twin-size bed in the closet. The master bedroom also has a full-size desk with a rolling office chair so if you have to work during your stay, "work from home" with a beach view. All three bedrooms and both bathrooms have luxurious hotel-quality linens, which are 100% fresh for every guest (no reused comforters or shams here!). The master bathroom has a walk-in tiled shower, and the second bathroom has a tiled tub-shower combo. The kitchen is well-equipped for guests who love to cook and features both a Keurig single-cup coffee maker and a 12-cup drip machine. Pack light! Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on Shoalwater’s beach through Alabama Beach Chairs from March 1 to October 31 (weather dependent), and one set of two chairs and an umbrella is *INCLUDED* with your rental. Additionally, six beach towels and two Igloo Playmate coolers can be found in the laundry area. Shoalwater Condominium has 12 floors, with 6 units per floor for a total of 72 units. Many of the owners do not rent their units so we have found that except for a few times per year (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc.), Shoalwater is generally a much lower-density property than many in the area. All of the building’s amenities as well as the beach are very easy to access from our unit.

Absolute Perfection

This was our first time to Orange Beach and I must've looked up hundreds of listings. I'm so glad we booked this condo! It was spotless, spacious and well equipped. The view from balcony was breath taking! I was a little worried about Spring Break shenanigans, but found the beach to be family friendly and laid back. We loved this place so much, we decided to extend our stay and Cindy made it so easy to do so.

Home Away From Home

This unit was amazing. It is essentially brand new. My wife fell in love with it and didn’t want to leave. The unit is very tastefully decorated and has several amenities that we were not expecting. We had “0” problems and spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the amazing views. While that section of the beach is fairly quiet the unit is located close to all sorts of activities, stores and restaurants. We will be back.

Awesome stay at Orange Beach

We absolutely loved our week-long stay at this condo. The owner was fantastic at communicating with us, answering all of our questions, and even gave us some recommendations on some places to eat while we were there! The condo has a beautiful ocean view. We loved sitting on the balcony each morning and night. The property itself is very quiet and has a family atmosphere to it. There are two elevators and we never had one issue having to wait to get on. There are several carts available to help load/unload when checking in/out. There wasn’t one amenity we felt was missing during our stay. If we ever come back to Orange Beach, we’ll most certainly be looking for this condo first!

The Best Condo We've Ever Stayed In

We have been staying in condos on the beach every summer for 25 years and this is by far the best one yet! The room is as beautiful as the pictures. Extremely clean. There are so many nice touches, such as ample places to hang towels and swim suits in the bathrooms, USB outlets in the bedrooms to charge phones, smart TV's in every room, remote control ceiling fans, soft towels and linens, specific wash cloths for makeup removal. They really have thought of EVERYTHING! The fridge kept everything cold and made more than enough ice to use in our cooler everyday. The furniture in the living room was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We didn't have to wait long to get on the elevator to go to the pool or beach. The beach and pool were not crowded. Easy access to the beach. The property was clean and well maintained. We always felt safe. There are so many restaurants, shops, and activities within walking distance or just a short drive. All around a great experience! We can't wait to come back!

Just Book It!!

Review on unit only since we didn't use any of the facilities. Very nice condo with beautiful finishes and breathtaking view. Excellent communications with both property manager and owner. The recliners were comfy. The bath towels were luxurious. I know bed firmness is subjective but here's my opinion; main bedroom with king bed is softer than the other 2 & I loved it but the beds in other bedrooms were very firm. My husband loves a firm bed and he loved it for his back but said his shoulders hurt. One issue that nothing can be done about but still notable is the sound from the upstairs condo. They really need some felt on the bottom of their chairs because when they slide across the floor it sounds like they are in the room with you. I could hear, what sounded like, a very active child running a lot. I didn't complain to anybody about it though. I've stayed in some condos where you don't hear a peep from other units and other's that you can.

We have been coming to Orange Beach, AL with our families for over a decade. We love this town, and we love hosting our family and friends in our little slice of paradise. We block off the weeks we can all be here early and open our units up so other families can build memories here the rest of the year.

We also own the unit immediately next door to this rental unit and are frequently on property. Because the owners are on site so often, you can count on us checking in to be sure the unit is in good shape.

Why they chose this property

Jen grew up vacationing with her family on 30A. Then, her Dad started coming to Orange Beach several times a year for work. Jen would tag along as school/work allowed and fell in love with Orange Beach, and then with Nick, who started tagging along also. For 12 years, the two explored the area together before deciding to create their own home away from home, with the long-term goal of living here full time and raising their son here.

What makes this property unique

Spending time on the beach with our families has shaped who we are, and we take being a part of other families' memory-making opportunities very seriously. We will do everything in our power to ensure you have a positive experience.
