Anchors Away - Lakefront Home w/Hot Tub, Amazing Views, Fire Pit & Huge Deck
Welcome to our little piece of the lake! Our three bedroom, three bathroom home is perfect for your next getaway - whether it’s a romantic weekend for two or a fun-filled week for ten.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you will immediately see the beautiful waters of Canyon Lake through the floor to ceiling windows and patio door. The sun sets directly behind the house so get ready to see some of the most beautiful sunsets in the Texas Hill Country.
Downstairs, you will find one full bathroom, a fully furnished kitchen, a sit-down nostalgic game machine, a queen Murphy bed tucked in the shiplap wall, a table that sits eight comfortably, an island that sits two, a cabinet of games, a sectional couch (favorite place to nap) and HDTV.
Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the laundry room. The spacious master suite has a king-size bed, nightstands, bench, dresser, private bathroom, HDTV, and French doors that lead to the upstairs balcony. The second bedroom has a king sized bed plus a twin trundle, nightstands, HDTV and also a set of French doors to the upstairs balcony. The upstairs balcony has a patio set and ceiling fans – it's perfect to take in the breathtaking view of the lake and the sunset. Bedroom three has a bunkbed – twin on top, full on bottom plus a twin trundle and HDTV. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
The best part of the house and where you will probably be spending most of your time is the huge deck. Outside, you'll find a custom-made 16 foot table with benches, ceiling fans, beer/drink refrigerator, surround sound stereo, rocking chairs, lounge chairs, a charcoal barbecue pit, corn hole game, fire pit and of course the amazing Sundance spa.
Off the deck, you will find a beautiful set of lighted stairs that lead down to the lake. Please note, while we are a lakefront house, getting into the lake can be quite tricky. Most of the houses located on the South side of the lake have rock cliffs versus beach front entries. It is a pretty steep drop into the lake so please keep that in mind.
Don't forget to sit on the front porch in the evenings to see and feed the deer. Some of them will even eat out of your hand.
About a mile away from the house, you will find boat ramp #7. Here, you can launch your boat, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.
Within a 20–25 minute drive, you will find multiple wineries, Gruene Hall, Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns, Cranes Mill Marina, the Guadalupe River, Comal River tube chute and much more.
**Please note** Maximum of 10 occupants and three vehicles at all times. This is monitored via Ring doorbell located at the front door. You must be 25 years or older to rent.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Bridgette was very responsive and helpful. Her handyman, Robert, was quick to assist us and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing. The hot tub stopped working after the first day of our stay but Bridgette and Robert did their best to try to fix the issue. The kids ventured to the shoreline and found arrow heads. The house has a great set up.
Spent a long weekend at the lake, place worked out great, we loved the location and ability to walk down to the lake from the back deck. Overall excellent stay
Great lake house! Beautiful lake view from the deck. House was well appointed with everything we needed. Very clean. Communication with host was awesome. Will stay again!
Loved the location right on the lake. Very quiet neighborhood. House was very comfortable for my wife and daughter. We had lots of room and all the bedrooms are upstairs, so early risers don’t wake everyone up.
The house was perfect for us and very well stocked
And greatly appointed! All and all it made our stay very
Relaxing and fun!

Lake stay
Nice house but we didnt know the lake had the worst drought it has seen in 25 years and water level was soblow you couldnt do anything. Whats the point of a lake house lol.
This was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in Canyon Lake. The house was pristine upon arrival and everything in working order. We were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was from pans to dinnerware to cutlery. They were very responsive the two times we needed assistance. Will definitely stay here again.
We had such an amazing stay with my family to celebrate Mother’s Day. This place is even prettier in person than the pictures. We loved the back porch with the hot tub and fire pit. It was the perfect location to hang out and watch the sunsets. The property owner was very welcoming.
Had a wonderful time at Anchors Away! Place was clean and views are spectacular! The owner was very nice and was very accommodating. The house is so welcoming and cozy. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!
We had my sister's pre-wedding girl's trip here with 7 women in total. There was enough room for everyone and each person had a great time! The weather was rainy and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the hot tub, games inside, and the awesome view. Although it's a little pricey, the location is great and the host of the lake house is very nice and responds quickly!

About the host

Hello. My name is Bridgette Tydlacka. My family and I absolutely love the Texas hill country but especially Canyon Lake. After taking several vacations to the lake, we decided that it only made sense to buy a house so we could visit much more frequently. We have made wonderful memories here and we hope that you and your family will too!
