Ever since 1984, I’ve been coming to Pratt Lake. My wife and I knew we’d be going back to Pratt as often as we could. As our family grew to four children and a goldendoodle, we found Pratt to be the perfect place to take the kids and pup. They couldn't get enough of the lake. There was no question, we had to invest in our own 'Pratt Lake cabin.' We hope you'll enjoy all that Pratt Lake and northern Michigan has to offer. You'll want to keep coming back too! TJ and Maureen, Portage, MI.
Tom purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Tom chose Gladwin County
My family bought on Pratt Lake 30 years ago and I spent every summer on the lake as a child. When our cottage was listed in 2007, we knew we wanted to create memories for our children just the same and bought it the same day it listed.

We went for a little weekend getaway and wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage has a beautiful view and everything needed to make us comfortable. The owner was great to work with and everyone we met was so friendly. We definitely want to go back again!
Great relaxing getaway!
Nice cottage with a great view. Quiet, smaller sized lake was great to just unwind. Owner was great to work with. I would definitely recommend and we'd love to go back.
Quaint house on a quiet lake! Very comfortable!
We had a blast. Everyone we met was very friendly. The lake was warm and clean. The house was cozy and clean. The farmers market was really nice too!
Great place on the water
We had a fabulous time. Water temperatures were perfect.
Great location on a Quiet Lake
We rented the property at 1616 on Pratt Lake.
The home was cute! Super high level of comfort. They recently renovated the home and it is gorgeous. We have a family of 6 + a small dog. The home housed us all rather comfortably.
The lake water was fairly warm, very clean, and had a dock that we could use privately. The fishing was great. At one point my novice son caught 3 in a row! Needless to say, that was a highlight.
This home has a small private beach area (where they regularly add fresh sand). The swim area runs in depth from knee high to chest end near the end of the dock. Excellent for children. The fire pit had great views of the lake activities and close access to the homes swim area where our little ones played.
I would highly recommend this rental opportunity to anyone with a small family. Our tribe of 6 was comfortable, but not sure if 7-8 people would have the same level of comfort. (only downside is one bathroom. I but who goes to a lake for the bathroom amenities?). Lastly, this home offers cable & wifi. A huge plus for today's technology driven youth... Yes. Even at a lake. Which is nice if you need to still access your work or email remotely.
GLADWIN- the town has a really good Mexican restaurant (Mario's) and a great pizza joint (Mr. M's). And just down the road about 5 miles is a killer ice cream place (the Corner House).
Enjoy your stay!
Memories made ... again
The cottage is absolutely adorable and was perfect for us. For the 2nd year in a row, I brought my 3 daughters and we fished and kayaked (we borrowed from a relative) but we also used the canoe that you provided (thanks!) When it rained we worked on puzzles (we added 2 more to your collection). It is so convenient to have a washer and dryer in the cottage for quick small loads. Kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials, we stopped at local grocery store for food. The neighbors are super friendly. We will be back next year. Thanks for everything!
