This home can be your getaway destination! Whether you stay for a week or longer, you will want to return to our home in the quaint city by the sea, Surf City, for unforgettable vacation memories.

Sea Star Village is an oceanfront complex. The beach is just a 1 minute walk (less than 150 yards!) from our place to the sand. Sea Star Village is just approximately 2.5 miles from the swing bridge in Surf City. You'll be mesmerized by the gorgeous views! Roll down the windows, feel the wind and breathe in the ocean air as you drive to paradise!

This quality built home is completely furnished, away from it all, yet close to everything. For those days you don't want sand between your toes, relax at the pool which you have 2 balcony views! There are also two balcony views of the intra-coastal waterway, and a sneak peak at the ocean from the master bedroom balcony! A total of 4 balcony views!

You first step into the game room featuring a foosball table. As you enter the middle level you will find 3 bedrooms; the second floor master suite and two guest bedrooms. The 2nd floor master suite has 2 queen beds with an attached private bath (double vanity, spacious walk in shower) and balcony. The laundry room is also conveniently located on this level. The other two guest bedrooms on this level have an adjoining deck overlooking the pool. both outfitted with bunk beds (one bunk bed per guest room) featuring a full size bed on the bottom and twin on the top, sleeping 3 in each room.

The upper level family/gathering room with vaulted ceiling, features a 46' Flat Screen TV, comfy sofa and chairs, stereo, DVD & CD player, and a spacious dining area. Large windows provide viewing the waterway or watching the evening sunset. Enjoy the large open deck, with chairs & high table for outdoor dining, etc. Another outdoor deck on the back of the home is great for conversation while enjoying a quiet ocean wake-up.

The custom kitchen adjoining the family room offers an entertaining island with granite countertops. It has premium appliances that include a smooth top range, stainless steel fridge with ice & water in door, dishwasher, & microwave. Fully equipped with all utensils, bakeware, cookware and serving dishes...everything you need to prepare and serve family meals! The gourmet cook in the crowd will LOVE this kitchen.

Enter the 3rd master suite on this level featuring a king size bed and en suite master bath. Enjoy the large jetted tub, with a tile enclosed shower. Enjoy the outdoor deck at this entrance.

Surf City comes alive in the summer with nightlife just across the street for entertainment and dinner, bicyclist enjoying riding daily, golfing is just a few miles away in Sneads Ferry. Quaint shops await you on the island to include: 'Justbaked Bakery', Beach Outfitters, IGA (great gift store inside), Bert's Surfshop, Salty Turtle Brewery and don't forget about the wonderful fresh seafood, restaurants, and so much more! You can sit on a balcony and be a part of it all as you enjoy the people passing by.

Our home has 6 colored cable TVs, a dvd player, foosball, ceiling fans in every bedroom and the living room, wireless internet, deck furniture and more! All bedroom and living room tv's were updated in 2018 to include ROKU applications in addition to cable channels - you can log into Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime just like at home! I have to mention the breathtaking sunset views and the intra-coastal waterway views...what a way to end the day! It's not just a state of mind, it's a reality. The neighborhood pool is typically open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Just a few yards from the front door are a long time island nightlife staple - Hula's. Hula's has the best burger on the island! Newer 10th Street Grill is also across the street, offering lunch and dinner in a cozy sports bar atmosphere.

The unit can accommodate parking for up to three vehicles in the carport. Also, please be aware we do have security cameras outside of the unit for safety and security monitoring.

Very nice place

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, Sea Star is one of the best rental options for families. Well furnished, a good amount of space, lots of kitchen gear and entertainment. Only gripes: not easy to get 8 people around the table, and we had a bunch of cockroaches in the lowest floor a few of the days. Otherwise highly recommended.

Awesome Beach Vacation

We arrived the first weekend in October and I have got to say this place was amazing. It was within a minutes walk to the beach. Traveling with teenagers can sometimes be a challenge but this beach house allowed for us to enjoy some quiet time alone while the teenagers walk on the beach, played downstairs on the foosball table, and rode the double seater bike. The kids also enjoyed the beach shops which are right up the road. The house was clean and well decorated! We are planning on staying again next year, hopefully July 4th Weekend if it is available!!

Fantastic Beach Home

We had a lovely and comfortable week-long stay at the Beach House. The house looks just like it is depicted in the pictures. It was very tidy and clean! We also appreciated the extras (lots of bath towels, extra beach chairs, umbrella) that were offered along with a fully stocked kitchen. The beach was just a quick easy 2min walk and everything we wanted to do was a short driving distance from the house. The best part was the awesome deck furniture incl dining table with chairs for 6 - great for game night, plus extra chairs for reading and relaxing. Can't wait to come back!

So Close to Beach

This house fit our 4 families well. The kitchen is nice a big for everyone and plenty of seating. The beds were very comfortable. Loved how close it was to the pool and the beach. The pool was very clean and though shared, never very busy. The beach was such a short walk and plenty of room. However it does not have lifeguards. The property was very clean, aside from the first flight of highly used stairs. The washer and dryer were also able to keep up with all of us. The biggest downside was the intermittent internet, which is probably more of an island problem than a house problem. The owners were extremely responsive as well.

A nice peaceful week at Surf city

Very nice place, comfy beds & towels, dishes etc. galore. Our only problem was the internet kept going out but spectrum was there to fix it (new modem) early Fri am after reporting issue to owners Thursday afternoon. Pool was great and beach close enough to enjoy as well. We were pleased and would revisit one day.

This vacation rental & location is everything that we are looking for as a family with 4 children under 5. The area is very noncommercial with a restaurant (Surf City Line) and a couple of bars across the street (Hulas & 10th Street Bar & Grill). The bars both serve food, but they are very 'pool hall' type places. We ordered food from all 3 and it was very good. The layout of the rental is 3 floors. The bottom floor is a game room with TV and plenty of space to leave coolers, beach bags, etc. for the next day. It is convenient not to have to drag everything upstairs. The second floor is the kitchen, living area, master bedroom/bath and guest bath. The top floor has the bedroom with the 2 queen beds & bath, plus a hall bath, and 2 additional rooms with the bunk beds. Plenty of linens are provided (even beach towels). There are multiple balconies that are furnished with plenty of seating and tables. The rental is completely furnished with everything you could imagine down to board games! I brought my own griddle but there was even one of those & a crock pot. The only thing lacking is an outdoor grill. We brought our own. The pool is conveniently located. It is a bit small but honestly the cleanest I've ever encountered. We used it before lunch and had it mostly to ourselves. The access to the beach is just across the road. The beach was not too crowded even in July. This area allows alcohol on the beach but NO GLASS (& they are serious about that no glass thing!) Canopies are allowed also but must be removed at night. The only thing we would recommend is an additional fridge or beverage cooler. We kept a large cooler with ice on the bottom level for drinks as there was not enough fridge space for a week of groceries for 10 people plus all the drinks for the beach each day. However, we like to keep A LOT of drinks on hand!!! If you are handicapped or have physical limitations that prevent you from walking up 2 flights of stairs multiple times a day, this might not be the place for you. We appreciated that the stairs were carpeted and designed such that we were less worried about the little ones tumbling down. We didn’t even use baby gates. We loved this place and would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay

It was the perfect distance to the beach. Easy for our young kids to walk to and from the beach and not complain. The house was well stocked with everyday needs (kitchen tools, cups, towels, blankets, etc). The owners were quick to respond to any questions that we had during our stay. The dining/living area was a little tight trying to fit everyone around the table but they had bar stools at the kitchen island which gave us extra space to comfortably sit. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend to someone looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

Lovely retreat

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. The home is spacious and comfortable. We were thankful to have lots and lots of both bath and beach towels and a powerful A/C. Two outdoor hoses and an outdoor shower to rinse sand off our big crowd of kids. There were games, puzzles, tons of DVDS for all ages, and a pack n play.

We had an amazing stay at the Beach House! The townhome is just as it looks in the pictures. Adorable beach decor, plenty of linens and kitchen extras, sunset view from the living room balcony, and a foosball table for fun. My kids loved the bunk beds, and having breakfast each morning on the balcony off of the family room. The very short walk to the beach was a life saver with 3 small kids. The home is very clean, and clearly well loved. In addition, Catherine and Bryan went out of their way to accommodate us very last minute. They were always quick to respond and super helpful. We will definitely return to the Beach House!

We have always loved the beach and vacationed throughout North and South Carolina for many years. When we had the chance to purchase, Surf City was at the top of our list, but when we saw Sea Star Village, we fell in love. We enjoy The Beach House year round (Catherine prefers the beach in the Spring!) and look forward to sharing our home with you!

Why they chose this property

Surf City is a quaint getaway, but not so commercialized. It's not far from Wilmington, NC, should you want more shopping, but when we're there, we stay! It's also not a far drive from the Raleigh-Durham RTP area with minimal traffic!

What makes this property unique

We enjoy sitting on the deck in the mornings as we look out at the intracoastal waterway. We love morning walks on the beach searching for those special shells, bike rides in the afternoons, and naps in the middle of the day. The sunset is breathtaking either on the beach or from your balcony!

If you prefer to socialize, there are two local bar/restaurants within walking distance - Hula's and 10th Street Grill. Enjoy the Island's best burger at Hula's!
