Blacksmith Lodge has one of the best locations on the mountain with great ski in ski out access and just a short walk to either Happy Valley or the Village Centre. The corner unit has 2,250 sq feet of spacious living with 2 bedrooms plus family area addition lock off of 2 bedrooms and bathroom, 2 full ensuite bathrooms upstairs and tons of space for the whole family.

The luxurious unit has heated slate floors, private 8 person hot tub,fully equipped gourmet kitchen with convection oven, desk with printer and high speed internet . The great room with a gas fire place has spectacular panoramic views of the Monashee and Big White Mountains and chairs outside to enjoy. The heated garage has benches, racks and hooks for gear and boot and glove dryer.
If necessary work away from home with the fastest internet available and desks, printer.

Upstairs the master bedroom has a lovely gas fireplace and ensuite bathroom with jetted tub, rain shower stall. The second bedroom also offers a 3 pc ensuite bathroom with rain shower and laundry is on the upper level for convenience. .

The main floor has an open floor plan,deep leather sofas featuring a rock wall fireplace which is great for entertaining . The wall to wall windows allows for lots of natural light and great unobstructed views of the Monashee mountains and valleys with a deck to enjoy the outdoors. The lower level has a lock off good size 3rd bedroom, a rec room- 4th bedroom and lots of storage.This may be available at times.

The trails are right outside and amoung the best ski in and out access on the mountain. The Lodge is located only a few minutes both from the village center and Happy Valley Gondola Base. Happy Valley also has skating rinks, inner tube park and many other activities.

The list of extras includes granite counters, heated floors, hot tub, BBQ, a private heated garage with benches, racks and hooks for gear and clothing.Boot and glove dryer. Amazing views of the Monashee Mountains to the South East and the Okanaghan Valley to South West on top of one of the best spots at Big White to watch the fireworks in Happy Valley.

Big White Ski Resort is one of Canada's largest ski in/ski out resorts with an average snowfall of 25 feet It has 118 designated trails, 27 unnamed trails and lots of pristine skiing powder bowls and tree glades. There is enough variety for everyone with 18% of the trails are beginner, 56% are intermediate, 26% expert.

The townhouse is well located and is easy to access from the mountain and village. The heated garage floor was a nice, practical feature for winter conditions, and the boot dryer was especially helpful for keeping gear ready each day. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient place that works well for a ski stay.

Great Family Stay

We had a wonderful experience at your property during our recent spring break ski vacation at Big White. It had everything our families needed, and the location was perfect for ski-in/ski-out access. The views were especially enjoyable with our morning coffees.The three-level layout was ideal for our group of adults and kids, providing everyone with their own space. We also appreciated the hot tub after a long day of skiing.We hope to stay at this property again next year.

Great stay in Happy Valley

Donna’s home was exactly what we needed for a week of skiing, skating, & relaxing with friends & family. It was spacious and comfortable. Fireworks view was great. The kitchen was well appointed and had nearly every tool/appliance you need for gourmet cooking. The ski in/out was perfect for access to Ridge Rocket. Communication with owner was good. We only had one issue during our stay and the property manager was there immediately to address the issue. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay! The townhome was spacious and clean, we had 4 adults and 4 children in our party and we all fit comfortably. The garage had ample space for all of our ski gear. We loved the ski in/out access. Donna was responsive and answered our questions timely.

We are a family of 2 professionals and 4 children who are now adults with their own children. Our one son who works long hours in the hospital treating very sick people and helping their families needed a place to escape to on his days off. He now enjoys Big white and teaches other ski instructors and guests which he really enjoys on his days off from the hospital. As well as teaching his own young son the wonders of downhill skiing.

Why they chose this property

Fabulous snow, fluffy light powder, lack of crowds, great terrain, several good restaurants, small but walkable village, reasonable rates , close to Kelowna airport and city and fabulous family activities. What is not to like !!
In the summer there are great biking trails and beautiful views.
There are a number of good restaurants in the village, globe Cafe and Tapas Bar, The woods and others. Eating on the mountain can be delicious as well at the Mountain Black Forest Day Lodge. there are many festivals> July has the Craft Beer& Music Mountain Festival. In July and August the Fiv'r Fridays is mountain bicycle racing every Frida, August there is the Norco Dirt Series which is a Mountain Bike Camp.
During thew winter there are fireworks every Sat from Jan to April. Easter has a number of celebrations and there is Live Music at the Happy Valley Lodge Dec-April 4pm-6 , Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Check the date for the Neil Edgeworth Memorial Banked Slalom race.

What makes this property unique

The spacious townhouse is truly ski in and out with fabulous unobstructed views of the Monashee mountains and very close to Happy Valley for family activities, skating rink and fire work celebrations. The rates for tickets, food and restaurants are very reasonable compared to many ski areas. The biking in the summer is great along with a bike camp. In July, Big White hosts the Craft and County Beer and Music Festival.
