Exactly as described. Perfectly located. Very spacious with 4 full sized rooms1, pool, and fenced yard . Truly a great value and comfortable stay all around. Our dogs enjoyed it too!
This house has a ton of old charm to it, we loved it. The yard is huge and the pool is a great addition! The house was within 15 mins of everything we had to do (in town for a youth basketball tournament). The host (Amy) was very quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend!
Wonderful older home with lots of room to spread out
Comfortable beds, good size kitchen and a beautiful pool out back
Friendly host and easy check in

Richard, thank you for staying. I am glad you enjoyed the pool area even though it's too cold to swim in in December, it's nice to be out there. Look forward to hosting you again.

You were nice clean guests, so thanks for that. But let's be clear. It doesn't smell dirty, or icky, it smells like the wood of a 100 year old house. Which is very clear in the listing, that it's old. Don't stay in an old house if you don't like that (lots of people do) and mess me up with a bad review. Please next time read the description before you stay somewhere.
The beautiful “quirky” house in Eustis was perfect for our short family vacation! Close to Mt. Dora and all the Disney locations! The property was clean and has a beautiful swimming pool! Communication with the property manager (Amy) was excellent! I highly recommend staying here when in the area!!
Historic home with fun quirks. The pool was perfect, the beds were comfy, and the baby pack and play with new mattress was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend staying at the Lemon House.

Thank you so much and it was our pleasure to host you all and baby. Hope you can come back!
The house was so cute and full of character! Very spacious and comfortable! Great pool. The host was very friendly and easy to work with! I would definitely stay here again!
Very good communication with the owner. A few unexpected happenings, but nothing to keep me from booking again. If you love the layout of older homes, which I definitely do, you will love staying in this rental. Very close to fishing spots, shopping and
We enjoyed our stay in this historic charmer. It was very clean 4 bedroom 100 year old house. We loved the lounge area with secret door. It was very spacious with updated kitchen and bathrooms. The property owner was very kind and responsive. I would definitely stay there again!

Thank you, we are so glad you enjoyed! We are looking forward to further update updates to the downstairs bathroom in the next month!
My family came to town to celebrate our nephews college graduation. House was very nice and peaceful. Very cool older house, lots to enjoy and explore especially the speakeasy. Pool in backyard is nice and big. Amy and her son were the perfect hosts!! Anytime we need a place to gateway to this one is near the top!
Very nice location. In walking distance of a small lake and not far from downtown Eustis or Mount Dora. Owner left snacks and food in the fridge. Beds slept well. Large pool!

I'm so glad you enjoyed. Come back for new improvements since you were here! New parking on site, new landscaping, newly renovated garage apartment detached from the house. For a caretaker, currently my son :)
The house is great and just as described. We got to enjoy some good pool time and family time. My daughter got married in Eustis at The Little Chapel of Love and this is where we stayed. Amy was a great host. She answered any questions I had and stayed in touch with us during our visit. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay is Eustis.

About the host
Hosted by Amy Taylor
I grew up in Florida in the 60's. I worked in the tech side of TV in my career...editor, producer, teacher. I have been hosting short term rental guests for over 20 years and I like it. As a frequent traveler, I think I get what guests want.
Why they chose this property
Except for the school, it's a super peaceful neighborhood. If you hate children laughing across the street during the day, don't stay here.
There are four bedrooms upstairs, and one double vanity sink, plus a shower bathroom. There's a full bed on the back porch, but it's not made up for guests; you have to let us know and there is an extra charge of $35. There are minor level changes in the house due to 100 years of add-ons....two of the upstairs bedroom have a step down to them. I raised the living room floor to install real oak, so there's a sloped threshold to the dining room. However, a person with some disabilities could comfortably stay on the ground floor, with the ramped porch and two spaces to sleep on the ground floor. There is no level change larger than a threshold. There is a tub/shower on that floor, it's not ADA.
The entire 2,300 square foot house, the pool, and the front and side yards are yours to enjoy. There's a separate small cottage on the half acre. Trusted tenants Deonte and JJ live there. it doesn't intersect with your space.
What makes this property unique
Small town charm, but so close to everything. Old oaks draped in Spanish moss in an historic neighborhood. You will enjoy exploring the rolling hills around Eustis, Lake County, and getting the flavor of Old Florida. There are amazing public springs with 15 or 20 miles. 60 miles to the Atlantic.
