Funky Downtown Flat with Gameroom & Firepit

City living at its finest in our cool, modern industrial flat located in the heart of the downtown area! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities, so you can cook and dine like home. The flat is located within walking distance of some of the best cafes, restaurants, nightlife and museums in the city, making it the perfect base for those looking to experience all that the city has to offer. One block from parade route.

The building was originally built around the 1940's and was owned by the United States Postal Service. It was renovated into 5 modern industrial apartments in 2022, that range in size and still has the DMS Mail Management sign in the exterior. The building includes a shared lobby/game room, a fully fenced back yard, and a parking lot. This apartment has one bedroom with a queen bed with a TV & one full bathroom, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and living room with a workspace. It also included a washer and dryer.

Guests will have access to their flat, plus the lobby, halls, backyard and parking lot.

This building is located in the center of downtown. It's surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants, office spaces, nighlife & museums.

You can park in the parking lot & walk to most places. Street parking usually has parking meters. The bus stop & train station are also across the street.

*The preferred mode of travel here is Uber or Lyft. Bicycles work in the downtown area, and we do have a bike rack in the back yard. Bike rental is available at Hub City Cycles at 501 Jefferson St.

*Food delivery options: Doordash, Uber Eats. Grocery delivery: Shipt

*Within 1-2 blocks: Reve Coffee, Jim Deggy's Pizza & Brewery, Dyer's Cafe, Central Pizza, The Flats, Lafayette Science Museum, Children's Museum, Parc Sans Souci

*Just to note: we like to maintain a calm, friendly environment in our building & have a zero tolerance policy for disturbing other guests. Any disturbances may lead to cancellation of your reservation.

The apartment and location are great, very quiet during the week with some noise on the weekends due to the proximity to downtown events. The bedroom in this unit is removed from the street and the (very responsive) hosts provide a noise machine that are sufficient buffers. Whole place was clean and functional and the game room was definitely a plus! I will note that i had only one set of towels, which may be because i was solo but i usually find more than one set when i travel.

Awesome flat in the heart of downtown Lafayette, LA. This place was walking distance to great coffee shops, restaurants and bars. You really get an accurate feel for Lafayette staying here. The host was prompt to respond to messages and accommodating. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is nicely decorated and stocked well. It was quiet and the location is perfect for parades, shopping and eating downtown. Love the play room too. We are definitely coming back. Communication was excellent with owner as well.

Wonderful Flat in Downtown Lafayette

I highly recommend this property and will hopefully return. It was exactly as described, safe, clean, and the owners had excellent communication. The surrounding downtown Lafayette area offers plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The property was easy to locate and offers on-site parking. It was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you!

New Year with Family

Enjoyed the location and our stay. Found the property very nice and host very pleasant. My husband and I like to lounge together a bit, and would have liked more accommodating living room furniture. Everything else was very nice!

Super Stay

I found out, last minute that I had to be in LAFAYETTE for a few days with meetings. This little place was so convenient to every place I needed to go. Plus it’s down town and there are lots of cool things to do on a week end day. I am a designer/contractor and I was very impressed with what the Host did with the space. Two thumbs up all the way around. 👍👍

Amazing place in a great location.

This place was incredible. New school chic in a historical setting. The location was excellent and was only a minute or two walk from great downtown venues, and restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet and private for the close proximity to downtown. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the couch could’ve been a little bigger, but besides that it was perfect. This is definitely my new go to place when visiting downtown for the weekend.

Everything about my stay was perfect. There was not a thing missing. If you needed, it was available. And, if you did not want to stay in, everything was just a walk away.

I have always had a love for downtown & the modern industrial architecture that has popped up over recent years. There's just something about being downtown & walking to a coffee shop, lunch, or to one of the many events in the downtown area. This particular building was an old mail sorting building that was renovated by a local architect, names Dillon Van Way. I have always loved his style & admired his work. I am lucky to be able to share this space with you.
