About this property
Beauty Mtn Hideaway - Secluded - New River Gorge National Park
It is always a great time to enjoy friends, family, and the great outdoors.
From the property, guests can hike about 800 yards and see the rim of the gorge at Short Creek. Where they can climb or continue hiking on various trails (https://www.mountainproject.com/area/114210837/short-creek-right). Beauty Mountain Trail is about 1/2 mile away. Endless Wall Trail and trails at Nuttall and Fern Creek are within a mile too (https://www.alltrails.com/explore/us/west-virginia/edmond? b_tl_lat=38.07608791352027&b_tl_lng=-81.10379313496004&b_br_lat=38.032201511404395&b_br_lng=-81.01188121986912&ar[]=10184108). Guests actually drive past them to get to the home.
If you are looking for a private, peaceful area to get away from it all, Beauty Mountain Hideaway is the idyllic place for you. With its expansive covered porches and hot tub, you can sit, relax, enjoy the sounds of nature and let your cares melt away. Situated on 8.75 acres, guests can explore the land, Short Creek, and its wildlife (no hunting please). Short Creek actually runs through the property and has its own private, natural grotto hidden in the foliage just below the back porch. Better than a hot tub on those steamy summer nights. The pathway from the back of the home leads you down there. However, it is very new and we are still working the ground so we ask that you do not burn down there or leave trash due to wildlife. We also ask that you stay on the gravel pathway and keep ahold of the handrail as the gravel will roll out from under your foot.
For those with an even more adventurous appetite, Adventures on the Gorge (adventuresonthegorge.com) is several miles away, where guests can enjoy guided tours, aerials, mountain biking, horseback riding, paint ball (you name it, they probably provide it) all for a nominal fee. Guests can enjoy the restaurants and shopping there too.
If shopping is more your style, head across the New River Gorge Bridge towards downtown Fayetteville, where quaint shops and restaurants are available.
We even have you covered during bad weather as the home is equipped with a generator that automatically kicks in when the power goes out. Although it is an automatic generator, it will not support the entire home. Guests will need to pick what systems are important to them.
Please review the rules prior to booking. If you would like to review the lodging agreement prior to doing so, please message me and I will send a copy.

About the host
Hosted by Double Drop Properties, LLC
Love the outdoors and nature. 800 yards from the rim of the New River Gorge at Short Creek, which is a climber's paradise. Several Trails nearby which make it a central place to get away from it all and simply enjoy nature.
Why they chose this property
Situated on 8.75 acres, the seclusion, peacefulness and serenity of this place is idyllic. Short creek actually runs through the property and just sitting, listening to the babble of the creek makes all my cares melt aware.
What makes this property unique
The three story, 3,200+ square foot home has a total of eleven rooms including a great room with living and dining for 10-12, fully stocked kitchen (except food of course), three bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and three baths.
King beds are located in the master bedroom with an En Suite and on the main level next to the second bath.
Queen beds are located in the sleeping loft (which is not private), downstairs bedroom and the convertible sofa bed on the main level.
The home also has 1,000 square feet of covered porches -- some of which are screened.
It also has an automatic generator to offer backup power in the event of a power outage. Although it is an automatic generator, it will not support the entire home. Guests will need to pick what systems are important to them.
Again, all within 4 miles of the New River Gorge Bridge (the longest arch bridge in western hemisphere) to downtown Fayetteville, WV to enjoy some quaint shops, specialty restaurants and great activities.
Seclusion, peace, quiet, serenity, wildlife, relaxation and all in close proximity to almost anything you can think of.
