About Steve Passey
We love the beauty of the New River Gorge, the plethora of outdoor adventure choices in the area, and hiking the miles of trails. We most enjoy bringing our three little girls here for 'woods walking'.
Steve Passey purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Steve Passey chose Fayetteville
We named this property after a nearby trail, the Kaymoor Trail. The two parts of the trail together make for a vigorous hike - especially if you choose to take the 810 steps to the bottom of the mine (and then have to take that same 810 steps back up!). As far as the location of the home, we've visited the area a number of times and love the small town of Fayetteville, white water rafting, zip-lining, and especially hiking - the fact that we can go for a hike by walking out our front door and be at an NPS trail is the best! This house is great for 2 families, and this property is close to the white water rafting and zip-lining. And if jumping off a bridge is your thing, or if you want to just watch the other crazy people, you'll get a great view from the neighborhood overlook. Enjoy the quite back yard, grill out, and eat on the spacious back deck. *** PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOT TUB IS SHUT DOWN FROM THE END OF DECEMER THROUGH LATE APRIL AND FIREPLACE IS TURNED OFF FROM LATE APRIL THROUGH LATE SEPTEMBER****
What makes this Cabin unique
Hiking trails in the neighborhood, designed for two families (basement to be finished, but we don't know when yet). Short drive to white water rafting & zip-lining. Watch bridge day from the neighborhood. I can't wait to sit on the front porch and enjoy the nature and feeling like I'm in a treehouse. I love to cook, so I'm working on getting all those little things to make the kitchen highly functional when you're away from yours. Haven't figured out how to get the kitchen to clean itself though. The furniture is an eclectic mix. Some of the furniture is antique, and some we've made reusing wood palates - we hope you'll enjoy the rustic touches.

Beautiful Home/Great Location
We enjoyed staying at Kaymoor. Hiking trails are near by, close to town but yet quiet and serene.
A wonderful house in a great location
We had a great time at Kaymoor House. It was comfortable and spacious. We also loved the neighborhood. The owners were very accommodating and helped us out when we had a small change in plans. We wanted a place where family from PA, OH and VA could meet and this house worked perfect.
Relaxing Weekend Retreat
Well maintained cabin with all the right necessities. A lot to do in the area too.
Relaxing & Scenic
We took a family vacation to Fayetteville and really enjoyed our time. Kaymoor House was well kept and centrally located. We took advantage of the hot tub, grill and fire pit. We did the Bridge Walk, went for hikes, visited a coal mine and zip lined. We'll be back for white water rafting!
We had a wonderful time and the house was beautiful. It accommodated all 6 people in our party and our 2 pups perfectly. The house is clean, inviting and the kitchen was stocked will all the necessary supplies. Steve was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions and text messages promptly. The electric fireplace broke one day, but Steve had a service technician come within 24 hours to repair it, so we were very thankful. We will certainly come back soon and we recommend this house highly!
Beautiful, well appointed house. My family of 5 adults and 2 children enjoyed being here—hiking, playing games, cooking together— and a fire pit evening our last night there. Great place to get away from it all. Our second time there.
