Peninsula Paradise - South: Yellow House

Bring your whole family or friends group out to this secluded waterfront resort in nature, surrounded by the lake! Watch the sunset over the water while you enjoy the outdoor area that includes a sprawling granite kitchen and high-top bar complete with propane grill, hot stove eye, a Big Green Egg, and bring your marshmallows for the propane fire pit. Take the provided kayak out onto the lake or cast a line (also provided, BYOB) from one of the many over-water structures. Plunge into the lakeside pool (seasonally available ~April - ~September) with the poolside Tiki Bar, or soak in the hot tub (seasonally available ~September - ~April). Relax, recharge, and unplug at this gem of a location!

All outdoor amenities are shared with sister property behind the privacy fence. No public access outside of Peninsula Paradise guests, hosts (when applicable), and staff (minimally invasive). Inquire about dual reservation discount if you want to ensure total property privacy.

This house IS attached to the pool deck. This house does NOT have the shuffleboard, screened porch, long glass viewing room, or indoor bar - see Peninsula Paradise - North for those amenities. This house is nearest to the kayak/fishing gear storage and boat dock. This house is a 4 bed/2 bath with a fold-out sofabed that can sleep up to 11. This house is nearest the storm shelter. This house is NOT equipped with a backup generator.

Lake Life!

The property was awesome. The view was spectacular. Right on the lake and a pool for for the kids! Fishing right outside your back door! The owner was very communicative and friendly. She was quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be going back! The whole family enjoyed it so much!

Great two house setup

GGG - Great Girls Getaway!!

Me & 7 of my best GF’s rented this property for a weekend getaway. We typically spend at least 1 weekend a year at different accommodations. There are SO many things to ‘Love’ about this property!! Outdoor kitchen, bar, fire pit & pool r amazing!! So convenient to have a bathroom outdoors. The deck surrounding the pool needs repair, but did not hinder our enjoyment of the pool & abundant sunshine. Tiki bar, fire pit & outdoor kitchen are fun & unique features. Upon arrival, there was an odor in the tiki area. After raising the awnings & airing it out overnight, the odor dissipated substantially. It was awesome that there were TV’s & sound system in the outdoor area & master bath/bedroom, but they did not work. We had a minor glitch with the Wi-Fi, however, Saralynn was accessible & remedied the issue. TV viewing is available, if you have access to an app/streaming service, as there is no satellite/cable service. The kitchen is very well-equipped with a Keurig, Ninja blender, microwave, etc. There was also an adequate supply of janitorial items. We found that the HVAC system struggled to cool the entire property during the high temps during our visit, however, there were a few fans provided at the property. whirlpool tub in the master bath is nice, but the jets were inoperable during our stay. While there is room for improvement, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would love a return visit!

Perfect for us

This property was amazing. Did it have issues, yes. However those issues would not stop me from renting here again nor did it ruin my stay. Some of the issues: none of the tvs were hooked to anything, not that we even tried to turn them on. Some of the deck boards need attention. Some are very soft and give when you walk but we just tried our best to stay away from them. There is plenty of seating outside however not any loungers. Somewhere to put your feet up would be nice. Again none of these things I would call problems. Just some maintenance. Other than that the house was very accommodating, very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with pans, cutlery, plates, everything! The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was nice, plenty of pillows. We grilled every night and had coffee around the fire place every morning. We decided right then and there that we need to come back every year!!! We loved it here and will be back!

As soon as we stepped foot on this land, we knew that it was going to become our own. The entire property juts out into the lake, giving us 270 degrees of water views. Between the dock, the stone pier, and the original wood pier, there are so many paths that we can take to get up close and personal with the water. Beyond that, this property has such a rich history of hosting vibrant family reunions that the love and frivolity of the past can be felt in every step. We are constantly eager to visit as often as we can, and never want to leave when it's time to. Beyond anything, we just want to share this magical place with others who can add their own joy, enriching the beauty of this place even further.
