This bright and luxury apartment is located on Boulevard de la Madeleine in Art Deco style historical building with marble facade(the former 'Grand Hotel de Paris' now called 'Residence Madeleine'). A 24 hours concierge makes it the most secure building. It has a huge and luxury lobby with an impressive dome made of cristal Lalique, another historical museum piece as you enter the building ! The living room is very bright and airy. All furniture is from luxury brand Steiner, a legend brand from Art Deco time.

About juihsiang chaudet

Hi, my name is Juihsiang from Taiwan married to a French. As a city girl, I absolutely love this apartment with an excellent location. And I am sure that you will love it as much as I do. Enjoy Paris!

juihsiang chaudet purchased this apartment in 2010

Why juihsiang chaudet chose Paris Arr. 1 (Louvre, Palais Royale)

When we are back to Paris we will live in this apartment which is to us the best location in Paris. It has everything that we can possibly dream of at a walking distance : good restaurants and fine food (Lucas Carton, Hediard, Fauchon, Laduree), historical monuments (Madeleine, Opera, Vendome, Concorde), great shopping (Galeries Lafayette and Printemps), luxury brands (rue du Faubourg St Honore) and theatre (Edouard VII and Olympia). It is also a few steps away from river Seine and Le Louvre museum. Everything is a few steps away, including the bike rent 'Velib' !

What makes this apartment unique

As soon as you enter the apartment, you feel like it is designed like a suite of a 5 star hotel : it is spacious, it is equiped with luxury furniture and amenities, it has a nice solid wood parquet and above all it suits perfectly the Art Deco style of the building. The Art Deco style of the apartment includes the Steiner branded furniture, the lighting on the ceiling, up to interruptors, switches and chrome plated door handles !

Super!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was super! So spacious and easily accommodated our family of 4 (two adults, two children, ages 10 and 12). We loved the numerous floor to ceiling glass doors out to the balconies - offering a view of some street life below (but not noisy!) and a great cross breeze to allow some airflow in the summer. Curtains and shutters blocked out the light and prevented extra early wakes. We all agreed that the beds (pullout sofa and master) were the most comfortable in our month long journey in Europe! The master bath was easily big enough for all 4 of us but it was nice to have the extra 'powder room'. The kitchen was small but we managed just fine making breakfasts and some dinners while there. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - towels, laundry detergent etc. We enjoyed the Madeleine area as it was quick to the Metro and within easy walking distance to Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe! There was also a small supermarket that came in handy just across the street that was open until midnight (summer hours?). The host was super with prompt communication, clear instructions and a good resource book in the apartment. She offered good advice and very clear instructions for getting to the apartment and even arranged us a ride to the airport on the day of our departure. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend it to anyone!

Location, Location, Location!

  • 4 of 5

This lovely, secure apartment was just the perfect place for my sister and I to spend a week in Paris during the first week in August 2017. Having the opportunity to deal directly with the owner was the first added plus for me. She was such a delightful and caring person (via email, anyway)! Her apartment manager greeted us at the apartment, gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. We were very grateful for her time. There is also a large notebook in the apartment which has a lot of information in it about the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood.

The apartment is less than a block away from a Metro station. There is a small grocery store directly across the street, which had everything we needed. We only ate breakfast in the apartment so did not need much, but the store had everything for a lunch or dinner in case you chose to fix those meals in the apartment. There were restaurants in the neighborhood--we ate at two of them when we got back late and they certainly were very adequate. And the fabulous Fauchon is just around the corner! Find that early in your stay so you can compare their items with others you see around the city as you decide what to take home with you! For those of you who want to shop, the area appears to have wonderful shopping, though we were busy elsewhere. We walked from the Arc de Triomphe to the apartment. The Louvre is just blocks away as are so many other wonderful sights in Paris. We could hardly believe how lucky we were!

The apartment is really quite roomy and very comfortable. The living room and dining room adjoin for much openness. It was very nice to have a full bathroom and also an extra toilet with sink. The bedroom had blackout curtains and also double windows to help block out the noise. NOISE. This is the only thing that might be a bother to some people. The streets below are very noisy at night, and for most of the night long. The old narrow streets and tall buildings really enhance the sounds rising. We put the floor fan in the bedroom to create "'white noise"; my sister slept there. I slept in the living room on the Hide-a-bed. The curtains in the living room and dining room let in a lot of light; the building across from the apartment has a business in it and the lights are kept on all night. However, with my ear plugs and eye mask I slept well.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is due to the noise at night.

Great centrally-located apartment with 24-hour concierge, fabulous master bath

  • 4 of 5

My two grandchildren and I enjoyed our stay in this well-furnished and -equpped apartment. A metro stop is on the next block, there are groceries and restaurants nearby, and it is within walking distance of the Tuileries Gardens. The huge, Moroccan-style tiled shower is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this property--the building has a security guard on duty and it's in a safe neighborhood.

Beautiful large apartment in the heart of Paris!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Juihsiang's apartment for 4 days in July and absolutely loved our entire experience! Juihsiang was a great communicator in advance, letting us know details about the check-in ahead of time, then contacting us the day we were to arrive also. She met us at the apartment for check-in and showed us around the apartment. She also followed-up during our stay to see if we needed anything.

The apartment itself far exceeded our expectations. It seemed HUGE for an apartment in the middle of Paris. We absolutely loved the 6 sets of french doors that opened up fully. We opened them all the time to let nice cool breezes into the apartment. It almost made us feel like we were sitting on a beautiful porch above the city streets. One door also included a balcony with 2 chairs, so we could sit outside. The bed and pillows were very comfortable too!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well stocked with everything we needed (plenty of dishes, towels, etc) and also consumables not always available in Homeaway units (dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, coffee filters, etc). There was also a ton of storage space! Plenty of room to unpack and settle in.

The photos on the website represent the unit well. Everything was in good working order and almost like new. The shower with mosaic wall is beautiful and huge, with great shower head and good water pressure and temperature.

I can't say enough about how much we loved our stay! I would highly recommend this apartment!

Thanks so much Juihsiang!

This apartment is a treasure in the heart of Paris near the Opera. It is close to everything, and thoughtfully appointed with all of the comforts of home. Our host was very welcoming, and made our stay easy. I highly recommend it!

Spacious, beautiful deco apartment in the heart of Paris!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment lived up to its description. It is in a Deco building that was once a hotel, which is evident from the large, grand lobby. The apartment itself is nice and spacious with a liveing/dining room that had several large French door windows, including a corner window that no only flooded the apartment with light, but it gave good ventilation. This was very important because most of the week we were there, Paris was having a heat wave and with the fans supplied, it was very liveable. The bedroom was unusually large (many of our VRBO's had large living rooms but small bedrooms), with a ceiling fan and another great French door window. The manager was very sweet and gave great information about the apartment. It had both a washer and a dryer, both some of the most efficient and easist to operate we have had in Europe! The aprtent had, space, elegance, storage, the most modern apliances and was a delight to sty in. We loved our week here!
