The polished aluminum trailer, beautifully restored, reflects the surroundings like a mirror and offers two entrances. The right-hand door leads into the living room and kitchenette, ideal for reheating leftovers or preparing a quick meal (please note: no gas stove). This intimate space includes a small table with two chairs and a twin bed that doubles as a sofa—an inviting spot to curl up with a good book. The air-conditioning unit is located here in the ceiling. Windows throughout the trailer frame views of pink-hued mountains and lush lawns. Past the original pink fridge and kitchen sink, a narrow paneled hallway leads to a pocket door opening into a compact bathroom, complete with a shower and a cozy bathtub. The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and petite closet. Windows on all sides look out over the ranch, shaded by towering trees, with views of the horse pastures and Powers Peak just beyond Kernville. A door leads directly from the bedroom back onto the spacious wood deck—an ideal spot to enjoy the evening air after a day of hiking or rafting. The charming town of Kernville, only a short walk away, provides a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing getaway. You’ll have complete and private access to all interior spaces pictured. The ranch spans about 15 acres and includes three distinct listings: Shiny Spartan – this restored travel trailer. Mountain View – the original two-bedroom log cabin, built in the 1890s. Meadowlands Cottage – a one-bedroom wing attached to the main house. For larger groups, you may rent the entire ranch. We loved staying on the Ranch. Since we love the outdoors, we enjoyed cooking and being outside. The host was super responsive and we loved the location. Thank you!
This property was perfect for my wife and I, as we like nature, hiking and small communities. The Whiskey Flats Days Festival was fun. As hikers we enjoyed the walk to the village and all it had to offer. The 1956 Spartan was as we expected and fun to experience. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.
The Spartan trailer was 1955 error no gas but had electricity had a gas griddle barbecue style outside on a big redwood porch.
Not too far from town walkable within 15-20 minutes.
5 acres spread horses hot tub and someone to communicate with if you need be.
Very quiet.
Where we stayed there was other properties to rent much bigger and more modern on the same address.

What makes this property unique
The magic of our property may reveal itself in unexpected ways. Perhaps a herd of deer will step out of the water meadows at sunset. Or your children may frolic through the grass, their hands cradling a newfound frog from the woodpile. Nature and wildlife will undoubtedly make their presence known during your stay.
Here at our ranch, we are home to horses and mules, and a gentle river flows through our land. Abundant water keeps our grounds lush and green, offering a refreshing contrast to the surrounding area. The initial 5 acres feature expansive lawns and towering shade trees, providing a welcome respite from the heat.
Separated by the babbling brook that meanders through the property, the remainder of the ranch opens into flood meadows where horses and mules roam freely. Ducks, herons, and ospreys grace our skies, a picturesque scene against the backdrop of pink-hued mountains. It truly is a place of remarkable beauty.
