About Brigid Sullivan
Brigid Sullivan is happy to welcome you to this idealistic setting in the Green Mountains of south central Vermont. Our family feels fortunate to be able to enjoy the beautiful seasons of Vermont and wants to share it with our guests. We are experienced world travelers and understand what you need to be comfortable away from home. Family ancestors were early settlers in Mount Holly. We love to share local history and great spots to visit. In the summer and fall enjoy the vegetables and herbs from our gardens.
Brigid Sullivan purchased this Apartment in 1990
Why Brigid Sullivan chose Belmont
The apartment, attached to our home, with the same spectacular views, is a secret hide away. It is on a dead-end dirt road in a tiny, wonderful Vermont hamlet. At the opposite end of our living areas, the apartment is private and cozy. The property has been a family summer home since the 1940's.
What makes this Apartment unique
The landscape is beautiful and it is so peaceful and quiet here. You can hear the winds whispering in the trees or howling in a blizzard and then it is quiet again. The skies are clear at night and the stars are spectacular. Venturing outdoors at night is an amazing experience to be cherished. Walk to the village for coffee and pastry or a sandwich. Enjoy the lake with a refreshing swim or ice skating or fishing. Don't forget your camera as every day is different and the scenery is stunning. The Village is charming with the historical museum open on weekends. Family style dinners at the Odd Fellow Hall are delicious and a taste of real Vermont. Fireworks and the bonfire, skating and hot chocolate on New Years Eve are right out of Currier and Ives. Music on the Green during the summer is a relaxing way to spend a great evening.

A gem in Belmont, VT
Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Brigid's apartment is clean, warm and cozy and she is a wonderful hostess. Wilder, the dog, did his part too and made sure that my dog had a pal to play with. We are already discussing when we can visit the area again.
Great apartment close to the mountain
The apartment was fantastic. Super clean, well stocked and very conviently located to Okemo. Will definitely look to stay here again when skiing next season.
We had a wonderful time in VT. Enjoyed skiing and boarding at Mt.Okemo near by.
Wonderful place to stay!! The apartment was perfect for us, clean, cozy, had everything we needed for two families vacationing for a week. Beautiful view, lots of walking trails near by, close to Okemo. We will definitely be back!!
Thank you for staying at our place and for your kind words. I do hope you will come back again. I enjoyed hosting you.
Wilder was an added touch to my entire stay at your apartment! Beautiful and clean which made my trip nice and quiet. I'd recommend anyone who wants to stay around Ludlow.
Favorite Part of our East Coast Vacation
After a long journey of visiting eight different states all over the East coast, we took a family survey and everyone agreed- our stay in Vermont was the very best of them all!
We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful accommodations, the hospitality, and the beauty that surrounded us. The kids have wonderful memories of climbing Buttermilk falls, eating Maple Creemees, and playing outside with Wilder. Brigid was wonderful in helping with suggestions and making sure our stay was fantastic.
We look forward to our next visit!

A great spot for a ski weekend
This rental was the bright spot in our very chilly stay. We had the misfortune of choosing one of the coldest weekends of the winter for a ski weekend at Okemo however this rental brightened our visit tremendously. We stayed with our two teenage sons and there was plenty of room for everyone. The architecture is beautiful with a high cathedral ceiling, exposed beams and hardwood floors. The beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and supplies for cleaning up and the overall unit is bright and well-lit. Since it was so cold, Brigid supplied us with packets of hand and feet warmers to use on the mountain as well as extra heaters to use in the apartment. We used the space heaters only sparingly however because the unit is also well-insulated and warm. One word of caution that an all-wheel drive vehicle is a necessity in the winter months - not all roads are treated. Overall this rental was great.
Badminton, croquet, board games, puzzles and of course, The Vermont Country Store, as seen on NBC News!! Don't forget the alpine slides at Bromley or Pico Mountains and the new, year round Timber Ripper coaster at Okemo Mountain for a great adrenaline rush. We can direct you to great waterfalls and hiking trails as well as other information available.
