The Trastevere Penthouse 'B' is a top floor apartment with Panoramic Roof Terrace.

This apartment is located in the Heart of Rome Historical centre ("trastevere" district). The lower level consists of living room with kitchen corner + 1 queen size sofa bed. The upper level consists of one 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (with shower box) and access to the Panoramic Roof Terrace.

The PANORAMIC ROOF TERRACE has a WONDERFUL view on Rome rooftops (including St. Peter dome).

Comforts: WIFI, A/C, LCD TV, Satellite, Radio-CD player, Washing machine, Panoramic Roof TERRACE (equipped with table and chairs, #1 recliner arm-chair, "Weber" gas BBQ, Led "ambient" lights, wifi, sun beds .... and lot of plants, flowers and seasonal organic spices !)

This is an apartment ideal for two people but that can comfortably accommodate 2 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.

NOTE: in the same building, side by side, is also located the apartment Trastevere Penthouse "unit A" (listing #289229: sleeps up to 4+1). Therefore, we can also accomodate a party of 6/8 people too.

NOTE: the upper level, cause is the located quite under the roof, has a low headroom in some areas (headroom in the upper level goes from 1.70 mt to 2.70 mt - please see photos of the interior).

Trastevere Area: the most typical Roman neighbourhood is located just over the bridge from the historical centre (and that is what the name means, over the Tevere river) became very trendy over the past twenty years, when the small streets and alleys typical from this area started hosting bars and restaurants together with some trendy shops still located in the area. The neighbourhood is the liveliest of the city and extremely crowded in the weekends. Beside shops, also very famous the Santa Maria in Trastevere church, known as one of the oldest Christian churches in Rome.

This is a "NO smoking" property (with the exception of the outdoor area).

Lovely place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Alessio's place was a wonderful part of our experience visiting Rome the first time! He was very accommodating and provided all needed information. He was there to greet us and help us get settled and answer any questions. The apartment is typical European size so Americans, do not expect spacious hotel room. It had everything we needed and the the beautiful terrace and the unexpected lovely bathroom made it the perfect place to stay. We loved the location and proximity to restaurants and historical sites was perfect. We found a restaurant one street over that we ended up eating at 3 times in a week for fun, good food, excellent prices. II Potentino doesn't get very good reviews but we found it excellent and the staff remembered us and provided good service. We only used public transit a few times and otherwise were able to walk everywhere. This was a girls week and now am wanting to bring my husband here also. Would definitely choose this property again!

ONLY THE BEST

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this apartment with Alessio several times. He is kind and makes sure that upon arrival you have everything needed for a comfortable visit. The terrace is large and includes not only a grill, but great views. This apartment could be used for long term rentals. The neighborhood of Trastevere is full of locals who make you feel at home, especially the bakery down the street. All sights are within walking distance. The only issue is no elevator, but I always lose about 10 pounds in two weeks climbing the steps. We will return often and always stay with Alessio!!!!

Wonderfully memorable stay in Rome

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Rome for Konni and me. We stayed 5 nights at the apartment. If you're seeking a "local" feel and great location, this it it. We loved our apartment with all it's appointments, and as others have said, it is so convenient walking distance to everything in Rome, just across the Tiber river in Trastevere. Picture and imagine picking up a little prosciutto, cheese, bread, grapes, and some wine and relaxing on your rooftop terrace in the late afternoon and sunset. Then venturing out into the neighborhood later that evening for restaurants frequented by people who live there (not that touristy places are bad). Just a different experience as you meet others and enjoy. The retail shops and markets are small businesses in Trastevere. So very cool to buy from and talk to the proprietors. Konni and me are in our early 60's so as far as the stairs go, please consider they are just good exercise. Alessio and his wife Chiara are so accommodating in making sure you are comfortable. When one feels more like you're at home as a guest versus a hotel it really feels like you're experiencing Rome. Thank you A & C. We will be back and if you're ever visiting Seattle please contact us. With much appreciation K & L.

GREAT STAY!!!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is nice: small, but it fits for 2 people perfectly. Nothnig is missing: clean, wifi, music. WONDERFUL TERRACE!!!!! We loved it and had great breakfast overlooking Trastevere roofs and landscape (could see even San Pietro).great position also: quiet and steps away from everything. Alessio, the owner, is also very nice and reliable. Recommended!

I highly recommend this place

  • 5 of 5

I went to Rome as a single female traveler for the full month of June. I am a petite size so the apartment was perfect for me. The main draw for me was the neighborhood and terrace. Both were even better in person. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, just far enough away from the noise but close enough to everything (including good restaurants, gelato, bakeries, shopping, art supply store, groceries - 5-10 minutes). About 20 minutes walk to all the big sites maybe 30 to the Vatican. Bus and metro were so close and convenient - only an 8euro ride to/from the airport and a block or so from the apartment. I spent more time in Trastevere than in the city center - such a nice homey feel to it. Beware of the stairs going up to the apartment -there are many! Which took me a day to get accustomed to but very helpful with burning off the pasta & gelato calories! I actually lost weight on this trip!! The apartment is clean and bright and you get a wonderful breeze off the terrace to the bedroom. Air Conditioner works great if you need it. Bathroom and shower must have been renovated recently as they are clean and comfortable with cold/hot water (although might be a bit of a squeeze for taller/larger individuals). Flowers on terrace are self watering - so you don't have to worry about maintaining (or not maintaining) plants. If you don't speak Italian don't worry too much - almost everyone speaks or understands english and are very nice about trying to help. Don't forget the beaches are only a short train ride (about 4 euros!) and they are lovely. I went to Ostia and Santa Marianella and both are great and a nice respite from the stuffy city on a hot day. Best of all are the people! Your host is awesome and super friendly and helpful (native of the neighborhood). I made some great friends while visiting (Italian and otherwise) the people are very friendly and giving. You will have a great time here :-)

Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from a 4 night stay at the "TRASTEVERE PENTHOUSE "B" in Rome. The apartment was as advertised and was accurately reflected by the pictures in the listing. It was very clean and well maintained (recently renovated), and the roof top terrace was really lovely – the apartment provided everything we needed for our short stay in Rome including glasses, plates, a cooktop and refrigerator, and even a bottle of champagne to start off our visit. As others have indicated, and we expected, the apartment is small with the living area & kitchen downstairs and the bedroom & bathroom upstairs, however we found it adequate for our needs. The location was great and we walked to all of the major tourist attractions, including the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and Coliseum; the only attraction that we didn’t walk to was the Vatican Museums, but that was more because of the heat rather than the distance. Alessio was a fantastic host and provided us with a list of restaurants and stores near to the apartment (he went to great pains to make sure we knew that he did not have any affiliation with the establishment, which I found to be very ethical). He was very helpful and ran (yes, ran) our suitcases up three and a half flights of stairs when we arrived and departed!! He also helpfully arranged a taxi to the airport for us when we departed. It is the small things that can make the difference between an OK stay and a great stay in any apartment, and I think that Alessio really has the market cornered on making sure his guests feel comfortable in their temporary home, so I would characterize our stay as a great stay. He also provided the best orientation to the amenities of the apartment that I have ever had.
