About Karen Andrews
We both have businesses on Long Island in New York. We try to get to Maine every couple of months to enjoy our camp and relax, however, now that our son is grown, we're finding that it's getting less use, so we've decided to rent and let others enjoy it as well!
Karen Andrews purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Karen Andrews chose Chesterville
We started as renters ourselves, first renting a camp on neighboring Sand Pond. In 1996 we purchased our land, and in 2001 we broke ground on the house. Construction took us five years to complete, but it was well worth the time spent! The house is gorgeous!
What makes this Cabin unique
We love unwinding from our busy lives at Locke Pond, especially relaxing in front of a roaring fire, or hiking around the pond, or paddling about in the kayaks. We also have the best neighbors on Locke Pond, very friendly and very helpful! We feel very grateful for our good fortune of finding this beautiful spot!

This was one of the best places we've stayed. A wonderful home, a beautiful setting. A perfect place for a family vacation.
It is better than advertised!
The pictures do not do this property justice. What a wonderful home, beautiful location, gorgeous sunsets... Karen was a pleasure to work with and made us feel so welcomed! This is definitely a property worth visiting and we hope to be back next year. Thank you!
Loved it Again!
This was our second visit to Locke Pond and everything was as great as the first time. A wonderful location with a peaceful setting. The house is lovely, clean, and comfortable. So many wonderful features - the wrap around porch, the ping-pong table, the window seat, the great fireplace, the sounds of the loons at night, and the lovely path to the dock. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely Idyllic Maine Cabin/Lake Retreat
Our family had a wonderful one-week stay at the Andrews cabin. The cabin, the lake and the surrounding area all surpassed our lofty expectations. We have rented many cabins over the years and this one stands out - secluded and very well equipped! The kayaks and canoe were in great condition. Relaxing in the hammocks on the porch, swimming to the raft, s'mores in the fire pit, lobsters on the picnic table, ping pong battles - what vacations are all about. And, the fish were biting - our kids caught 10! If you enjoy the wilderness, the surrounding area offers plenty - excellent hiking, mountain biking and amazing mountain views. And, who doesn't love the serenading loons. Just a beautiful spot and a wonderful family vacation!
Beautiful lake retreat!
The Andrews family’s cabin feels like home. It’s a beautiful space, quiet and relaxing...a perfect getaway from everything! Karen was incredibly helpful answering questions and made checkout super easy. By far the best VBRO experience we’ve ever had! Thank you:)
Beautiful! Andirondak type cabin- so peaceful!
Such loving care went into building this home & it is evident. Picturesque setting that you won’t want to leave! Very secluded- we didn’t hear anyone. Great fishing on this pond! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights!
