Block Island historic property in the 'Old Town', initially build around 1850, this property housed the General Store. Completely renovated in 1985 by owner, amenities include hard pine floors and new kitchen and bath. The bedrooms are a queen size bed, a full size bed and a futon sofa bed in living area to sleep 2 more people, plus a private entrance and bath. Amenities include, full kitchen, gas grill, air conditioning, wireless internet and outdoor shower. Lawn chairs set up under 2 maple trees for out door seating.

I am a long time owner of my Block Island house and have recently moved back to the island from Stonington, Ct. I rent seasonally by the night, week and weekend and 6 months in the winter while residing in my studio apartment. Retired from the corporate world, my interests are woodworking, travel, and the pursuit of a healthy, nutritious lifestyle.

We rented the second and third floor and especially liked the fact that the 3rd floor had a seperate privacy entrance we could retreat to and still be part of the festvities on the second floor. Very nicely decorated and super clean with all the ammenties. It rented like a hotel, so all the housekeeping was included! One less thing to worry about when getting ready to leave. Highly recommended!

Great house with perfect location

I stayed here for Labor Day weekend with 9 friends and we had a fantastic time. Arnie was beyond accommodating and really made the weekend so easy and stress free. The house is perfect for a big group of friends/family. We did not feel like we were crammed in at all. It's a super easy bike ride into town or to the beach and if you need to take a taxi they are fast and affordable! You just have to say "Arnie's house" and they know exactly where to go!

We had a great time and will absolutely be coming back. Very affordable for the amount of house you get and Arnie was a pleasure to work with.

Diamond in the Rough

My wife and I stayed in the studio apartment for three nights while vacationing on Block Island. The studio itself was perfect for us. Everything we needed was right there for us; comfy bed, fresh linens, towels, free wi-fi access and a kitchenette. We didnt spend a lot of time in the apt, as we spent most of our time exploring the island, however, when we were there it literally felt like home away from home. The place is clean, well-kept and has a wonderful cross breeze flowing through it. What we loved most, is that the studio has character. You get this feeling that the apt has this unique vintage feel to it - that we really appreciated. Arnie has a vhs/dvd player in the living room and we loved spending an evening watching Radio on vhs. I mean, how often do you see that?!

Arnie is a great guy who is genuinely interested in making sure you make the most of your time on Block Island. He gave us great recommendations on where to eat and the best places to grab cocktails while watching the sunset. He encourages you to reach out to him if you need anything, which really put our minds at ease.

We will most certainly be back to Block Island and when we come back, we wont even think twice about contacting Arnie.

Great place

We are a team of 6 sailors who rented this home from Arnie. It's an easy walk to the boat basin. Everything has been refinished. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. My brother left some shoes there and Arnie followed up immediately and sent them to us.

A Gem In The Middle Of Block Island

I have been to this lovely house a number of times and consider it a home away from home. It has all the amenities you need to make your vacation complete. Forget the sheets, blankets, pillows and pots & pans. The kitchen is fully equiped. I just bring my clothes, beach chair and whatever food you may need. Whatever else I may need or want I can get at the local market or fish market. After a day of travels around the island or the beach you just jump into the outside shower which is a Godsend since we travel with two children and that is one mountain of sand. The apartment is in the center of the island which is far enough away from the downtown for peace and quiet but you can walk there easily. I continue to go back year after year and am ready to make my reservation for this year with Arnie soon.
