2 Cozy Bedrooms. NOT whole house. Private entrance. Easy walk to Old Harbor!

*Please read the entire description carefully, the listing is NOT for the full house. Rental is for the upstairs 2 bedrooms with a private entrance and bathroom. No kitchen/food prep or common area. First floor is owner occupied. When submitting an inquiry or booking request, please message us indicating you've read this to expedite approval. Thanks!*

2 immaculate second floor bedrooms share a private rear entrance, staircase, and bathroom in our home. 10 minute walk (of paved sidewalk!) to Old Harbor. Perfect for someone looking for a place to sleep at the end of a long day of Block Island fun!

(Two bedrooms and bathroom only, no additional indoor space, kitchen or food prep area. We ask all new guests to message us to confirm they read and understand this, thanks!)

Each cozy bedroom features two twin beds, clean bed linens, and blankets (please provide your own beach towels). One bedroom has a mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker. There is also a microwave, but no other cooking/appliances and none may be brought in or used on premises. (no hot plates, etc) The two bedrooms are rented together and share a single private bathroom with a shower. There is also an outdoor picnic table, patio, grill, lounge chairs, and outdoor shower for your use right outside the private entrance. (it's awesome). The expansive grounds are well manicured, available for your use, and a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

Clean bed linens, shampoo & conditioner, and a few Keurig coffee pods are provided. We ask that you provide your own beach towels and do not remove linens from the property. (long term renters should plan to bring some extra coffee pods or pick some up at BI Grocery.)

You will be given one key to the private entrance (the bedrooms themselves do not have keyed locks, but do lock from the inside). For the comfort and privacy of our guests, we do not rent the 2 rooms individually, you will have the space to yourselves. Home owners reside on the first floor.

**Maximum occupancy: 4 persons, no exceptions.**
No pets. No smoking. No parties. No cooking (use of provided microwave only).

As the property owners reside beneath you, we ask that use of the bedrooms is restricted to renters only and that quiet hours be observed between 10:00pm-7:00am. This is a great rental for folks looking for a safe, clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep and relax at the end of a day of Block Island exploration and fun. Use and enjoyment of the property's manicured 2 acres is welcome.

Parking in driveway for one car and plenty of room outside for your bikes.
Check in after 3pm, check out at 11am.

Even better than I hoped

This lovely, quiet 2 bedroom apartment was truly wonderful. The space was spotless, beds were comfortable, AC was a plus, and the grounds are beautiful. It's an easy walk to town and yet away from the noise and crowds. Ila was so easy to work with and very welcoming. I look forward to staying again!

Great stay in a great location

Four of us went for a 4 day stay. First time visiting Block Island. We brought our bikes on the ferry and were easily able to walk/bike to anything on the island. The outdoor shower was an awesome feature especially after a bike ride or walk back from town! The host is super friendly, cool and knowledgeable about the happenings on the island. Highly recommended.

Memorable!!

Our stay was amazing. We had all our needs and the host was wonderful. The location is so close to town yet quiet as well. We hope to visit Block Island again and will definitely stay at the property again. The owner just added a beautiful area outside the Vrbo entrance. Ila and Marty are fun and knowledgeable of the local events going on on Block. Definitely a 5STAR!!!

Excellent vacation rental in beautiful Block Island

From the moment we got there, the homeowner welcomed us with cold drinks in the refrigerator and cookies, along with other essentials to make our family of four comfortable. The house was spotless, beds comfortable and the outdoor shower was amazing! The homeowners were extremely responsive, yet also offered total privacy. The location was very convenient to downtown restaurants and beaches. We are looking forward to visiting again next summer!

Happy stay in our happy place

Ila’s cozy bedrooms were absolutely perfect for a getaway. We were walking distance to town and our favorite restaurant. Sitting out back in the morning for breakfast and in the evening with a glass of wine was relaxing and beautiful. The outdoor shower was nice to have when coming home from the beach! Perfect For Us

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at “2 Cozy Bedrooms” on High Street. The place is conveniently located an easy 10 minute walk to /from town, restaurants and Ballard’s Beach. The property was exactly as advertised, clean, cute and comfortable. We loved the patio area with hammocks, lounge chairs and table, finding it to be a relaxing and enjoyable spot. And the yard is large and perfect for kids/ lawn games. Ila is so nice and welcoming. We will look forward to staying at this property again next summer.

Perfect spot for friends to stay on block

While there’s no common area, the two bedrooms each have two twin beds. The outdoor shower is fantastic. It’s a great place to stay with friends for the weekend. Everything was very clean. A short walk to town. The hammock and yard are gorgeous so we barely spent any time inside anyways. We ran in to Ila and she is so nice and fun! I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Gem!

This is our fourth summer at Ila’s place and she offers the perfect accommodations. Beautifully suited for walking to town and the action, especially Aldos! And, at the same time we had a peaceful and quiet stay. The two bedroom rental is exactly as listed and shown, no surprises. My favorite part was Ila greeting us with a welcome basket full of BI guide books, Keurig cups, utensils, and mini toiletries. Thank you both! We will be back once again!

Perfect Island Homebase!

Our family loved our stay at the Happy Cottage! The beds are comfy and having our own private entrance and bath made us feel like we were in our own home. We didn’t miss having living or kitchen space as we were out and about all day, and the apartment is outfitted with a mini fridge/freezer and Keurig machine (Thank you, Ila for the extra Chai pods)! There’s a brand-new grill, umbrella table, and nice chairs for lounging and the outdoor shower is awesome! Ila was so generous and even gave our kids a “Blockopoly” game to take home. Clean, comfy, quiet, and highly recommended!

A very Happy 4th of July Cottage!

The Happy Cottage was perfect! The cottage was very charming and perfect for our stay. Fresh flowers in each bedroom, use of the beautiful yard, grill and firepit. Less than a half mile to Old Harbor, a very easy walk. Ila was a wonderful host who couldn’t have done more for us. Gave us Blockopoly to play, a kite to fly on the beach, firewood for the firepit. One highlight of the trip was seeing Ila driving the Grand Marshalll in the 4th of July parade! We were so lucky to have found this cottage and it having availability on the 4th of July week. We would definitely recommend the Happy Cottage to others.
