Your host

I was born and raised in Anchorage and feel blessed to call Alaska home. Alaska's breathtaking natural landscapes and rugged wilderness has truly shaped my love for the outdoors. I have a newfound love of backcountry skiing and my boyfriend and I head for the mountains any chance we can with our pups. In the summers, we enjoy camping, fishing, biking and spending time outside anyway we can. Anchorage is the perfect location to explore much that Alaska has to offer. When I was a grad student and worked as a traveling healthcare professional, I stayed in many short/medium-term rentals from people who were kind enough to share their home with me. I wanted to be able to provide the same service to others! I enjoy playing tour guide when friends and family come to visit and I am more than happy to help my guests plan an unforgettable trip as well.

Solstice Stay is the perfect location between mid and downtown, yet within a quiet, respectable neighborhood. Many local restaurants are within walking distance and downtown Anchorage is ~3 minutes away via car. Westchester Lagoon and the Coastal Trail are easily accessible from the house where you can run, walk or bike at your leisure. A local bike rental shop is located 1 block away from Solstice, and there are many other bike rentals downtown as well.

Solstice stay is a large mother-in-law unit located on the ground floor with 2 separate entrances, a private backyard and free parking. We love the chance to travel with our pets, and wanted to make this space pet friendly to well-behaved pups as well.
