This is the first round glass house built in 1957 by a famous mason and was pictured in the Los Angeles Times and numerous other newspapers. It Is One Of A Kind!!!!! Desert Hot Springs is home to over 20 spas.
This landmark home has views and is directly in the center of the historical cholla gardens, and according to the map the house was built on a VORTEX just like in Sedona, Arizona. Views of the beautiful San Gorgonio mountains. It sits on over one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens and paths. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 queen beds, 1 double, 1 queen couch, and two single beds, sleeps 8-10 with futons, and pullouts.
Two large patios, barbecue, park like setting. 5 blocks to nearest hot springs. 5 minutes to a fitness center, 15 minutes to Palm Springs, 5 minutes to the famous Cabot Yerxes Lodge Museum, 45 minutes to Joshua Tree, 15 minutes to Bob Hope Casino, 35 minutes to the Outlets, 2 minutes to Golf course, 2 minutes to walking trails. 20 minutes to Pappy and Harriots in Pioneer Town.
Numerous Hot Springs everywhere.....nearest one is 5 blocks away.
House is equipped with full kitchen, spices, teas, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, refrigerator with ice maker, electric range, toaster/oven, full large NEW oven, washer/dryer in garage. All towels and sheets. Circular driveway with room for 4 cars. Gardens light up at night automatically, heating, air-conditioning, moveable Amish fireplace, cable TV, new DVR, WiFi (Wireless Internet) 3 TV’s with DVD slots, DVD’s and DVR available in living room with full library and maps of nearby areas. Mexican pavers throughout the house.

This was a perfect house for my kids and grandkids. the outdoor space and view is lovely---we ate our meals out there mostly. Conveniently located near Desert Hot Springs and stores, etc. yet it feels secluded. It's a fun-funky house at a great price. We'll probably stay again.

The house is beautiful… However there is mold. In the very front utility closet. And the owner is in denial. You can smell it in the air vents. And when I have addressed it with the owner she says I am lying. I have pictures and I have submitted them. Mold causes respiratory infections, sure as pneumonia and other dangerous health conditions. Trying to come to a resolution.
Mold, she said it’s a stain. There’s a shower directly behind this closet.

We are certainly not in denial and take all of our guests feedback very seriously. We had a mold specialist out to the house immediately to assess this claim. The house was fully tested and this area was confirmed to be an old stain with no remnants of mold or mildew. This utility closet is also detached from the main house and is strictly used for mops and vacuums and other cleaning supplies. Upon further inspection, we discovered that this guest had a party at our house and many of our neighbors have since called to inform us of the amount of cars that were at the house throughout her stay. Appliances were damaged and the house was sadly left a mess. We have since had to file a claim for the damaged appliances. We appreciate all reviews and would encourage anyone looking to rent from us to look at the previous reviews.

Cousins weekend

Truly the most relaxing weekend. The house was so interesting, the grounds and wildlife were amazing. We sat for hours on the patio just watching the birds, bunnies, chipmunks, etc.

Relaxing Retreat

My family loved our stay! The glass house was so unique and spacious- plenty of room for the kids to relax in their own space with our down time. The views were amazing and we loved walking up every morning to look for the wildlife in the yard. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect location for our travel plans!

A Lovely Quiet Stay

This is our second girls trip to the round house and we simply love it here. There is lots of space, so you can either nap in your room while watching the critters outside or you can do puzzles in the main room gazing through the panoramic window. Super relaxing. (Also if you have time, hit a hot springs spa and the Cabot Pueblo Museum.)

Great vintage architecture and laid back vibe in idyllic desert setting. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy furnishings and homey amenities equal easy livin' conveniently located to Palm Springs and surrounding locals and attractions. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Hot Pools and Hikes

We enjoyed Miracle Hot Springs pools and hiked in nearby Morongo Valley. Great views from the living room with plenty of local fauna to entertain us for breakfast. Everyone in our family found a comfortable place to sleep.

Too many people today encourage diseases by their poor nutrition and by overeating. Today we MUST supplement our nutrition with appropriate vitamins and minerals because our many foods are lacking those essential elements that we need to sustain a good long and healthful life. Desert life fits right into a healthful way of life. Lots of new changes. This beautiful Glass House is my RETREAT.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the gardens on this 1.2 acre property. The Round Glass House is a dream come true. Wild life is abundant. When I stay here I go nowhere else. I just sit and look at the beauty and the squirrels, chipmunks, quail, roadrunners, cottontails, and an occasional coyote. Night sunsets with bright stars!!! Shining all over the universe! Also have a wonderful manager Alex Terraza who can be called at any time.

What makes this property unique

Only 6 blocks to the famous Spas of Desert Hot Springs. Walking trails, hikes, 45 minutes to Joshua Tree, golf courses, great restaurants, 15 minutes to Palm Springs. The house is equipped with everything. Just bring yourselves. We have a new DVR which makes it easy to turn on the TV. Record what you like and watch later at your convenience.

At night the lights go on in the front and back gardens automatically. It is a light garden show. Sit outside at night and you may think you are in Paradise!!!
