REASONS YOU WILL NOT WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE ON YOUR NEXT UTAH SKI TRIP.

REASON 1: LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! You can’t beat the location. You are less then four minutes away from the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon- home to Snowbird and Alta and less then two minutes away from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon- home to Solitude and Brighton. (Within 13 to 18 minutes total drive time to four of Utah's greatest ski resorts). THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE: Sometimes during the ski season when it really dumps, Alta and Snowbird get enough snow that they are forced to close down the canyon road for several hours due to avalanche control. This is not the case with the resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon, on these days you can just as easily make the decision to ski Solitude and Brighton avoiding Little Cottonwood Canyon closure. You get to do what you came here to do independent of the weather which is great news for you!

DON’T FEEL LIKE DRIVING? Take the ski shuttle bus from the mouth of either canyon. It costs just a few bucks and takes you straight to your destination.

You are also within walking distance of the super-market, and just a few minutes away from local fun ski-hangouts such as The Canyon Inn, Hogs Wallow, and Porcipine Grill, as well as ski and board shops, shopping, movies, coffee shops, and the freeway entrance.

Feel like our four famous resorts haven’t completely scratched that skiing itch? Jump in the car and drive 30 minutes up to Deer Valley, The Canyons, and Park City Mountain Resort, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Park City is a fabulous resort town, a destination definitely worth checking out during your stay in Utah.

REASON 2: HOME HAS LOTS OF ROOM AND STYLE. Enjoy nearly 3,000 square feet of open, spacious living with 20’ tall ceilings, two dining areas, a huge loft area with vaulted ceiling for entertaining. Complete with 55' big screen TV, luxury leather sofas, foosball table, pool table and if you feel like working out you can flex your muscles on your personal complete home gym equipment. Everything you need to keep you entertained and satisfied when you are not skiing the slopes.

REASON 3: CHARMING KITCHEN.Entertain your guests or cook your own gourmet feast in a fully-equipped, stocked kitchen. Beautiful granite counter tops, double door stainless steel fridge with ice maker, double door oven for baking/broiling multiple dishes at a time, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, tea kettle, coffee maker, blender, etc. As well as everything from wine glasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes, mugs for coffee or hot cocoa, dishes, utensils, and silverware.

REASON 4: COME AND SIT BY THE FIRE. After getting in from the winter cold, after a satisfying day of winter skiing, come and unwind in the large den area by the roasty, warm, cozy fire. Read a book, relax, have a glass of wine or listen to some music. Ahhhh, true comfort.

REASON 5: SLEEPING CONFIGURATIONS. Slip into a comfortable, coazy bed in your own personal corner of the house. The bed configurations are as follows:

BEDROOM 1: Master Bedroom Suite: One king- sleeps two.

BEDROOM 2: One queen- sleeps two.

BEDROOM 3: One Queen- sleeps two.

BEDROOM 4: Informal bedroom in loft area: One king- sleeps two.

House is designed to comfortably sleep up to 8 people.

REASON 6: HOT TUBBIN IT WITH SPECTACULAR VIEWS. Enjoy yourself on your huge private deck overlooking the great valley views complete with outdoor furniture and gas BBQ Grill or walk down to the second deck below and soak your tired bones in a five person Whirlpool Jacuzzi Hot Tub. Huge lot with no backyard neighbors to disturb you, unmistakable peace and tranquility. Take pleasure in picturesque, panoramic valley and mountain views from every room in the house. You will simply love relaxing in the loft, den, kitchen or bedroom area letting the stunning evening valley lights take your breath away. It's like a vacation on top of a vacation.

REASON 7: TOP IT OFF WTIH INTERNET & LAUNDRY. High speed wireless internet to stay connected to the world and those who unfortunately couldn't join you. While you are playing on the internet, take advantage of our full capacity washer and dryer.

If this sounds like your type of a vacation, please email or call. We would love to have you as our guest.

*Our on-site property manager maintains walks and stairs to hot tub as well as daily hot tub maintenence for a pampered stay.

***Please request additional pictures and they will be emailed to you.***

Beautiful place close to Cotonwood canyons

  • 5 of 5

This was a very nice house that made you feel you were visiting a home rather than staying at a rental property. Bedding was luxurious. Plenty of room for 4 couples or family of 6. Nice proximity to grocery store and Alta-Snowbird skiing.

An extremely clean and comfortable home with everything that you could need

  • 5 of 5

Great location close to the main road to all 4 ski areas -- about 10 minutes to Snowbird when there's no traffic.

The house is not particularly impressive from outside, but beautifully decorated, fully stocked, and clean as a whistle on the inside. Nice pool and foosball tables and 2 large TVs.

The manager, who I gather is the owner, stays in an apartment which has a separate entrance while you are there. She is available but totally unobstrusive.

Great view of the city/valley from the hot tub behind the house.

We were under the rule of a very controlling and manipulating owner-Destroyed our whole experience

  • 1 of 5

First, the front of the property was completely covered in weeds. Second, we were met with the owners tenant and interrogated about the number in our party. We had 2 others join our group of 6 at the last minute. The advertisement was for 6-8 people. The owner, contacted me and told me that it would be an extra $210, and then changed it to $237+, and I text back that I had informed the other couple of the $210 increase, and now it was more. I text that it was embarrassing to have to keep upping the price. The owner, Marzena, then text that she discussed the change with (the owners except she is the owner) and would have to decline the additional people. She made up a cock and bull story about 20 others wanting the unit for 8 and they declined their offers because they only wanted 6 people. When I originally inquired about the property she pursued my interest in the house for two weeks. There were no other offers. What she didn't know is that I knew she was the owner. I asked for an appeal of the decision and it took until 5:30 that afternoon for her to agree to let them stay. I didn't sleep the whole night this happened, and when one of the guests niece and family came by for a visit, the lady downstairs came up to check to see if we had children in the house. It was a nightmare experience. She continued to text me after 10pm, my time 12am, to inquire what time we were checking out. She sent an additional text asking again when we would be checking out. The check out time was 10am, we left at 9:30am. I have pictures of every room to show that we left the property in pristine condition in case she was inclined to not give my deposit back. We wanted a place to gather and to sleep because we were all from the East Coast for a Convention. There was so much hassle and deception from the owner, it just ruined the whole flavor of the trip for all of us. We couldn't wait to get out of that house. We had to park the car in a small garage and we could only have a second car parked directly behind the garaged car. I believe that they might not be allowed to run this business in their neighborhood. It was a traditional neighborhood and it felt like we were in hiding.

I have never booked any thing with VRBO and I dare say I probably never will again. The real rub was when she offered to have me pay her the additional directly of $210 instead of paying VRBO the $237. I would never recommended this property, I think it should be taken out of your inventory.

Owner's Response: Patricia, I’d like to start out with saying that if you’re going to make so many accusations, get your facts straight & give the whole story. Let’s go over the FACTS: 1-The owner decided several years ago to primarily cater to small groups due to a couple of bad experiences encountered with larger groups. It’s at the owner’s discretion to choose how large of groups to rent to. Patricia was in town for a DoTerra Convention, and I had received exactly 21 separate requests (I just counted) for that week in September over a span of a few months. Her group got approved because it was smaller than the rest of the inquiries. 2-The owner (which is not me, like Patricia mentioned several times (Business license that shows the license number & owner’s name is in the rental, but tax records, which are public record are also a great way to verify who the owner is if you’re going to question people’s integrity & negatively impact their business, make sure that what you are saying is factual. 3-Patricia's group checks in and she contacts me to announce that there is 2 more people that she invited last minute to stay with her that would be arriving the following day. I reply that I will have to check with the owner because the reservation was approved and paid for 6 people originally and if the request is granted that I will invoice her through VRBO for the small additional fee for the two additional people (ALL OF THIS IS CLEARLY OUTLINED IN THE RENTAL AGREEMENT THAT THE RATE QUOTED IS BASED ON OCCUPANCY FOR UP TO 6). Since Patricia was clearly unhappy at this point, I asked her as nicely as possible if she overlooked that in the rental agreement that she filled out and signed. Her response was:” I guess I should have read that, that’s my fault I guess. So at the time I thought she was taking some ownership in her dissatisfaction. We don’t want any surprises and we certainly don’t want anybody to be surprised like Patti was. That’s why we ask people to read the rental agreement because we want our guests to make an informed decision and make sure that the rules and regulations are a good fit for their family or situation. 4-Patricia, the “weeds” as you called them are actually shrubs, flowers, ornamental Japanese maples and grasses that are fading because it’s FALL!! The yard has beautiful zero grass natural mountain landscaping to fit the mountain scape that surrounds you in wild flowers, shrubs and trees.

Clean, comfortable, convenient

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this house in a residential neighborhood as part of three couples who met for a week of skiing. The location was great, close to both Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood Canyons. We also drove to Deer Valley and Snowbasin, about 1 hour away. Smiths supermarket only blocks away. And 10 minutes from a local ski shop where we could buy some discount lift tickets.

We cooked dinner almost every night, and this kitchen was large and was well supplied with everything we needed to cook with. Dining room easily sat 6 people. The house was immaculately cleaned before we moved in, and there was new soap, shampoo, conditioner, and even hand lotion in the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The master bedroom was very spacious. Big screen TV, fussball, and pool table entertained us. There is another bed upstairs in the large game room area which was screened off for privacy, so another couple could sleep there (although there would be a small extra charge for more than 6 people.) There is also a west facing deck with a view of Salt Lake City where we sat and had beer and appetizers every night after skiing.

The hot tub was cleaned just before we arrived (by the property manager who lives downstairs) so was not available the first night. It worked beautifully the other nights, though, and it was fun to sit there and watch the alpenglow on the mountains and see the lights flicker on down in the valley. The bathrooms had many extra towels which we could use for the hot tub. The only thing I would mention is that there is a friendly (but quite large) Great Dane who lives in the downstairs property. He would come outside in the evening while we were in the hot tub to greet us. If you are afraid of dogs, you would want to tell the property manager about that, so that she could keep the dog away from you.

Outstanding rental for Snowbird/Alta ski vacations

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year we have spent a week at this rental. We had 5 adults and 2 children and zero complaints about space. The deck allowed us fabulous views of the city in the evening as did the hot tub which comfortably fit 4-5 adults. The commute was only 20 minutes to Snowbird/Alta and there are a number of great restaurant options within 5-10 minutes of the property. The home is immaculately maintained.

Fabulous Snow Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our 7 night stay at this rental was beyond our expectations! Everything in the description of the house was accurate. It was the perfect place for my husband and me to vacation with our adult children from NC, CA, and HI and our 18 month old grandson. The house was open and spacious; I loved the loft where we all gathered for games and movies. The huge kitchen had everything you could possibly need and allowed several cooks to stir the pot at the same time. We were blessed with 3 feet of snow just before our arrival, with more snow our first two days. We enjoyed excellent powder skiing at all four ski areas and boarded at all but Alta (skiing only). And the scenery in the neighborhood was beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub with spectacular views almost every night. The linens provided were very luxurious. Thank you to the property manager for your kindness and making us feel at home. I highly recommend this rental and truly hope we can return for another family snow vacation!
