It was a great house and location for families especially teens an older. Privacy for everyone, great common space, and well appointed. Location makes for easy walk/drive/metro to anywhere you could want to go in the city. We would definitely rent again.
Beautifully built home with plenty of space, bedding, and bathrooms for a group. We used the table of six in the dining room for all meals. Master bedroom was spacious and well appointed.
my family and i stayed at arlington house for a week. the house is immaculately clean, spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. my dad felt comfortable going out for his daily walks .we loved being close to metro, great restaurants, a park and driving distance from DC. we love to cook and wish the host provided cooking utensils and amenities. we hope to be back someday.
We needed a place to bring some leaders from our firm for a combined retreat and client meeting in DC. It’s always tricky to find something that allows everyone enough privacy but also gives some meeting space without the formality of a hotel conference room. With en suite bathrooms and a full finished basement, we had plenty of privacy when needed, while also designating public space for meetings and work sessions. When we had an issue with towels, the host was very responsive and overnighted more (much appreciated!). Plenty of space for everyone to work individually and in small groups. The kitchen was well stocked for our purposes (we only made breakfast each day). Two sone controls made it easy to keep the temperature comfortable for all. We will definitely book this property again in the future.
Lovely home, well furnished, well equipped, close to Metro into DC. Great for a good sized family.
A lovely home, clean, well furnished, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, perfect for my family's needs. Close to the Metro, only .6 miles away, walkable, but a little too cold for a 12-14 minute walk, especially for the kids. We chose to drive to the Metro, parking was only $4.95 for the whole day.
A couple of issues: We could not figure out how to work the TVs. I was expecting cable service and they appeared to have Verizon cable service, but none of the remotes would work. Neither the owner nor the handyman could get them to work. Fortunately, my son and son-in-law had streaming services, so we were able to use the TVs with their subscriptions.
There was no propane for the BBQ, the tank was empty. The owner arranged to have his handyman fill the tank so we were able to BBQ after a couple of days into our stay.
Two of the four bar stools in the kitchen had been broken by the previous renters, but replacement stools had been ordered by the owner. They came 2 days later, but the handyman assembled them incorrectly so they were unstable and unusable. I had to take them apart and reassemble them correctly. Fortunately, we had an allen wrench to do the job.
All in all, it was a very nice place, with a few minor inconveniences, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The owner was very accommodating. We would stay there again.
