We take guest concerns seriously, and while we are disappointed to read this review, we would like to provide some important context regarding the concerns raised and the steps we took during your stay. As soon as we were made aware of the insect concerns, we offered to have both our pest-control provider and our cleaner come to the home while you were there. Both services you declined, with the request that pest control wait until after checkout. Since we did not want you to remain in a home where you felt uncomfortable, we also offered you the option to check out a day early with a full refund for that unused day, along with a complimentary late checkout until approximately 3–4 p.m. to allow time to transition to another property. That offer was also declined, and you elected to remain in the home for the remainder of the reservation. Regarding the bathtub, our cleaner inspected it immediately following checkout and provided us with video showing that it was draining normally. The home also has two additional full bathrooms available to guests. We also monitored the home’s thermostat remotely during the stay. Our records showed the system operating normally, including an indoor temperature of approximately 77°F while the thermostat was set to 76°F in Eco mode. We were not made aware of an air-conditioning malfunction requiring service during the stay. Regarding the privacy concern in the primary bathroom, the upstairs window above the bathtub is covered by a sheer curtain; however, the window itself is tinted specifically to provide privacy and prevent visibility into the bathroom from outside. The Wi-Fi information displayed inside the home has remained in its established location. Once you contacted us regarding difficulty locating it, we immediately provided the correct information as well as directions to where it is displayed in the home. We recognize that insects can occasionally be encountered in a coastal environment, both indoors and outdoors, which is precisely why we offered to have pest control address the concern immediately rather than waiting until after the reservation. Our goal is always to provide guests with an enjoyable stay and, when a concern is brought to our attention, we offered an opportunity to correct it. In this instance, we offered multiple remedies—including cleaning, pest-control service, an early departure, a late checkout, and a full refund for the unused final day—all of which were declined. We are sorry that you left dissatisfied, but we feel it is important that future guests understand that your concerns were not ignored and that we made repeated efforts to address them while there was still an opportunity to do so.
