About this property
Oak Cabin at Ranger Creek - Near Coalmont OHV Park!
Room for Trailer Parking!
Tranquility is defined...at The Cabins at Ranger Creek!
Nestled like tree houses above Ranger Creek in the wild and beautiful South Cumberland Mountains, Hemlock Cabin and Oak Cabin offer a serenity and a nature rich environment that is mesmerizing.
These charming cabins with private back porches are perched above Ranger creek. Surrounded by a forest of Oak and Hemlocks, you will feel like you are actually sitting in the trees!
If you have a mind to, you can wander down and wade in the crystal clear mountain water.
Each cabin has a rock fire pit with chairs where you can sit out at night and watch as the stars come out, one by one.
The cabins are designed to be a cozy and comfortable retreat from the hustle of everyday life. Queen loft bedroom, simple modern bath, outfitted kitchen with retro bright red refrigerator and all you need to feel right at home.
**There is a couch in the living room that can pull out, however we do not advise this as a sleeping arrangement for adults, as it is not the most comfortable option. (Just fine for the kids tho!)
A hibachi on a platform is on your porch for your grilling pleasure.
You are just a few minutes away from the four trailheads at our newest state park, Savage Gulf State Park as well as at the three trails in the South Cumberland State Park. Waterfalls, majestic bluffs, roaring creeks, miles and miles of beautiful trails offering so much for every skill level of nature lovers.
The new Coalmont OHV Park is just a few minutes away. Less than 30 minutes to the Caverns music venue.
This is the ideal getaway for those who need a good dose of replenishment, refreshment and rest.
Important Note: Ladybugs are very common in our region. Certain times a year we do experience some ladybugs inside of homes. Please know that all lady bugs are removed by housekeepers during the cleaning process, but are likely to be back quite quickly in large quantities.

I enjoyed everything from the well provided kitchen to the pair of ruby-throated hummingbirds that make that porch their own. :-) I was disappointed to see the camera overlooking that porch, with no warning about that in the description. Everything else was great!
It was cute, quiet, and clean. Just what i was looking for. Beautiful area with lots of waterfalls you can drive to and explore. Beautiful mountain and friendly people. Will return if still available!
Small place with a great kitchen setup. Nice deck overlooking the creek below.Just know that the bed is in a loft with a steep staircase and the bathroom is downstairs. Also, no curtains on the kitchen window which looks right out to the neighboring cabin.
It was very clean ..easy to find ..everything was lovely..Had funeral in area .just needed a place to spend one night close to area Would come back if I have the time in the future.
It was a quick last minute stay and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Only wished we had had more time to enjoy the lovely creek and surrounding scenery more. We will plan to stay here again!
My partner and I chose to stay here due to a concert that was being held close by, but we will be back in the future! The cabin was almost hidden but quaint and absolutely beautiful. 100% recommend if you are looking for a quiet place to stay with captivating scenery and trails nearby.
Nice tidy little cabin with all the comforts of home. Made a for a nice father/son getaway. Peaceful and quiet. Nightly chats by the fire pit and grilled steaks on the little hibachi and they turned out great. Enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was very nice and had everything you need for a comfortable weekend away. I was very impressed with the quality of the matteress. It was so comfortable, unlike most stays, where its like laying on a brick. Soon after arrival we were welcomed by one of the adorable dogs that live on the property. The only downside has nothing to do with the owners, but just the unfortunate timing of our stay. There seems to be some construction going on at a propery nearby that started at daylight and continued until dark, so if you are looking for daytime peace and quiet, its not going to be until they are done with whatver they are doing. Again, this is no fault of the owner, and if youre going to be out and about during the day its not a problem. Overall, this is a great cabin with everything you need for a short stay, the creek and woods are beautiful. Be sure to use the fire pit, its peaceful and a great way to hear the owls and maybe watch the bats that are swooping around.
Cozy little cabin! The property owner was super nice. Beautiful creek view off the balcony. Very clean has everything you need. We will definitely stay here again.
Perfect little cabin for my husband and I as we visited Savage Gulf State Park and South Cumberland. The cabin had what we needed to fix breakfast and dinner and the refrigerator is super cute.
The Oak Cottage was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The location is quiet and tranquil with the Creek just down the hill. We arrived very late but the owner was a gem and brought us a lantern to combat the power outage caused by tornados in the area. 10/10 will stay again.
The pictures you see online are exactly what you get! The place is cozy and the view off the porch is fantastic! Close to waterfalls and day hikes. Met the property owner and his dogs. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive.
We had planned a couple of days of hiking and exploring waterfalls in the area. The cabin was only a 10 min drive from the entrance to the trail. The one night we spent was a nice romantic getaway.
