Everything as advertised. Great spot on back lake to sled from. Plenty room in parking for 4 place trailer and truck. Would definitely rent again. Rustic, but when your sledding you just need a nice place to hang at the end of the day. Appliances all good- plenty of gear to cook. Close to everything to get supplies or eat out.
Beautiful cabin and lakefront. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Definitely would love to book this again in the future. We loved all the little decorative details throughout the cabin. Host was very responsive. Only issue we had had nothing to do with the cabin or the host, it was with the GPS, it took us to a house further down the road, but host helped us find our way with no problem! Just mentioning it in case it happens to someone else!
We are teachers and fish in Pittsburg when school ends. This location is perfect, we can get to all the good rivers and streams and we love to have direct access to Back Lake to try and catch the Hex Hatch. The camp checks all the boxes.
Great stay. Nice to have a home where you can have breakfast befor heading out on the trails and come back to when your done. Comfortable stay, warm and cozy.
If you're looking for a rustic cabin with minimal amenities, this is the place for you.

About the host

My first trip to Pittsburg was New Years Eve 2001. I have been snowmobiling in the area since then and decided to purchase my own place in 2011.
Why they chose this property
Moose Camp offers direct access to the trails and has direct lake frontage. Enjoy the rustic setting of an authentic log cabin with a wood stove.
What makes this property unique
I have been snowmobiling since I was a kid and I have found the trail system in Pittsburg to have the best groomed trails and the most access to gas and restaurants. You can park your truck in my driveway and not have to start it again until you go home. There are not many camps in the area that offer this privilege. With your ATV, it's just a short ride from the driveway, along the side of the road to the trailhead, starting your adventure to Jericho State Park.
