Summary:
There's plenty of space for the whole family at this serene, enchanting retreat nestled in the woods right by the famous fishing at Bird Creek and epic ocean view skiing at Girdwood. After enjoying Alaska hop in the hot tub or sauna and enjoy it some more! Bring your bikes and ride the Bird to Gird paved trail along the ocean or take it to Bird Creek to go fishing only 1 mile away with a pedestrian tunnel under the highway. You can also enjoy roasting smores at the new fire pit.

The Space:
King bed in the Master, Queen bedroom and Twin over Full bedroom on the main. One big bedroom downstairs (Queen and Twin over Full).

Guest Access:
Door code for 24/7 access.

The Neighborhood:
Back in a quiet neighborhood near the end of the road. The property borders State Park on 2 sides. The cabin shares the 2.5 acres with a guest house. Its completely separarte but please be respectful of the neighbors.

Getting Around:
Once you arrive you can get around on the bird to gird trail that goes between Bird Creek and Girdwood.

I took my family from out of town to stay for a Christmas get a way, we made two meals there. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary gadgets. We all loved the sauna, and the winter wonderland. Bring your own firewood to make a cozy fire, and as long as the temps aren’t freezing the hot tub could be fun. Everything was clean and cozy, and overall was a nice stay.

Beautiful place!

We reserve the place for just three of us, but it’s big enough to accommodate many more! We had a wonderful time, especially and enjoyed the fire pit as well as the Jacuzzi. Everything was in good order and I look forward to staying here again!

Close to skiing, comfortable and roomy

This was a nice place to stay during our Alyeska ski vacation. We especially enjoyed the the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by trees. Good family time. We would stay here again.

House was nicely set-up with many bedrooms and great kitchen. Location only 30 minutes out of Ancjorage and 10 minutes from Girdwood making it a great homebase for a couple days. Road is a little rough but feels secluded. Enjoyed our stay

Alaskan family vacation

The chalet was very nice and had plenty of room for my family. The location was close to many nice hiking trails and not too far from our glacier tour in Whittier. The house was well set up and even had shampoo in the bathrooms which was a nice touch for anyone who forgot something. I recommend this stay for groups who want to avoid hotels and have a little privacy the neighborhood was quiet.
