Enjoy a peaceful wine country escape in a modern, comfortable home. It's the perfect place to relax between your adventures. Our home is centrally located within a mile of downtown Newberg with its restaurants and bars. You'll be a 5 to 20 minute drive to the multitude of beautiful wineries Oregon has to offer. If you're into water sports, we're less than a mile to Rodgers Landing park on the Willamette River. Conveniently located 1 mile from George Fox University. At the end of your day, enjoy wine on the patio with a fire pit and cafe lights.

Great Girlfriend Getaway House!!

The house is super cute and great for a girlfriend trip or for a small family getaway. The house is decorated nicely and very well appointed with kitchen items, bathroom supplies and even throw blankets on the sofa!

Great spot for the 4 of us in town for some wine tasting. Linens were great, there were also plenty of towels. The house was clean and warm on a blustery weekend. Kitchen had plenty of tools and pans. And enough wine glasses!

Great for a girls weekend

My mom, aunt, and I enjoyed our stay at the Darby House. It is conveniently located to the wineries and dining. It was also comfortable to bring food home and eat there as well. The rooms are nice sized and plenty of bathroom space for our party of three. We would stay here again!

Lovely stay, beautiful newer home and modern, on trend furnishings and decor. Loved mornings/evenings sitting on the couch by the fireplace and playing games at the kitchen table for four. Very close for our visit to George Fox for our daughter and great hub for day trips to Mcminnville (Evergreen museum/Airshow) and hiking beautiful Silver Falls State Park (about an hour away). Quiet, nice neighborhood tucked into a cul-de-sac.

We had a lovely stay! The home was super cute and perfect for our family. It’s in a great location—close to wineries and restaurants, which made everything really convenient. All the beds were incredibly comfortable, and each room was thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail. Lovely, cozy gem

We stayed at the Darby House for a quick mom’s trip to the wineries nearby. It was the perfect size for the three of us. It had everything one would need and it was beautifully decorated and cozy. We will definitely book this spot again!

We loved our stay at Darby House! The home was comfortable and spacious in all the right places. It was great finding a home with 3 kind / queen beds. The kitchen was well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Best of all, the communication with Alex was excellent. She was quick to answer any questions and very accomodating. We travel to Newberg frequently and often stay in VRBOs. We will be back.

Great stay in wine country

We had a fantastic stay! The place was impeccably clean and everything was in perfect order when we arrived. It provided a wonderful space for our family to meet, relax, and enjoy quality time together. The surrounding wine country was an added bonus, offering fun opportunities to explore, taste great wines, and discover plenty of local dining spots. This house was beyond our expectations! Three women were traveling for a conference, we appreciated that we had enough space to take calls, feel private, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked. The furniture was super- the beds were SO SOFT and comfortable. It was clear that the owners love to travel and include the nice touches that they enjoy when traveling... really nice quality soaps/ plenty of nice linens/ many styles of wine glasses/ nice dishes, etc. The home is in a neighborhood and felt safe.

We think that there are so many specials places to go in Oregon and wine country captured our heart with its beauty and relaxed community. I've always loved hosting people and being able to help someone experience a whole new place brings me joy. I love hearing about people's travels and helping them have the best time possible.

Why they chose this property

Newberg is a charming small town in the heart of wine country. The house is located just under a mile to downtown with its shops, restaurants, wine bars and pubs. It's also close to a grocery store, drug store, and other conveniences. The street the house is on is a quiet, safe cul de sac. We will have some restaurant, bar and activity recommendations in our welcome book for you. The house is also only 1.5 miles to George Rodgers University if you are visiting for a school event. The house is under a mile to the Willamette River and a boat launch. Bring your kayaks or paddle boards and enjoy the river when the weather is nice.

What makes this property unique

We have done our best to fill the house with everything you'll need to have a relaxing and comfortable stay. There's a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook their meals. You can easily log in and out of streaming services directly on the TV. Wifi is very fast and will support anyone working from home. There's a desk and chair in the primary bedroom if you need a work space. Every room has a high end mattress, down comforter (if you have an allergy please let us know and we will supply an alternative) and black out curtains. We supply basic necessities like: blow dryers, shampoo & conditioner, iron and steamer.
