  • Wonderful Family Vacation

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Hag. The name alone got everyone excited. The home was clean and roomy. We had 8 adults and 3 babies. The videos were a big plus. Having VHS is super smart! Lots of great shows and you know no one is going to steal them. We practically had the beach to ourselves, even over a holiday weekend. We went crabbing one morning and hit Tillamook the next. All close by. We made great family memories. Thanks for the use of your home."

  • Very clean

"We enjoyed the comforts of the pirates cove. It was roomy and kid friendly. Three generations enjoyed the short walk to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Lots of pots, dishes and silverware were available. Thank you."

  • Fun for a big family!

"Sharkalope is one of those real beach houses that feels like a beach house. The white washed wood floors and the retro beach decor is charming and much appreciated over the standard decor that feels like you could be anywhere The proximity to the ocean and view of the Twin Rocks was amazing! The bedroom set up is perfect for extended family or multifamily. The beds were comfy with plenty of extra linens. Lots of puzzles, games and books and magazines. But best of all was the awesome game room with a full arcade! We had such a blast playing all the games! The weather was cold and stormy, but with the fireplace and game room we were more than happy to hang at home and watch the 10+ foot waves crash on the rocks! The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the kitchen is really small and not adequately equipped for the amount of people the house sleeps. There isn't much that can be done about the size, but maybe more pans and serving bowls. I wouldn't let this stop you from renting this super fun authentic beach house. We would love to come back in the summer!"

  • We liked it!

"This is one of many older residences with some updating that are rented out on the Oregon coast. As long as you are not expecting a five star experience, you will enjoy your stay here too. As has been the case with many other homes my wife and I have rented, we replaced several light bulbs. Can you ask your property manager to check the lamps when they clean the place? Also, one of the burners on the stovetop did not work. Since the "kitchenette" is pretty small anyway and we didn't cook many meals here it didn't impact our stay but again, something that would improve someone's stay. The view from the front living area was fantastic, with a nice fireplace and large full length windows to allow hours of ocean viewing. The small yard has a fire pit and a small sand pit too if you have little ones that want to play in the sand. Probably the most outstanding feature of the place is its namesake, the "Crow's Nest". What a wonderful place to sit and look out at the ocean and the sand for hours, either at the small table or the comfy little couch. If you are looking for a place to curl up with your favorite hot beverage and look out at the ocean for hours, or just have a place to sleep and keep your stuff while you spend the day touristing from Seaside to Tillamook (Rockaway is ideally located for this!), this is the place for you."
